SeanOrange has been poking at the RU-vid algorithms since 2006, which means this channel has run the gamut! Originally home of the That's Orange Vlog, skits, and other esoterica, erstwhile contributor to KEEP PLAYING on the Powet.TV Network (RIP), originator of the Famicom Dojo import retro video gaming series (now on its own channel since 2013)

Here’s A Tip That I Just Learned, Tip: If You Don’t Have A Stepdown Transformer, You Can Use A Model 1 Sega Genesis Power Supply For North America (120 Volts), The Sega Genesis 1 And The (Super) Famicom Both Output DC, I’ve Been Using The Genesis 1 Power Supply With My (Super) Famicom, And I Didn’t Have Any Problems With The Power Supply.
I was 13 in 7th grade when the Wii come out in 2006 and the PS3 was also released around this time which was at the time was $599.99 and the Wii was $249.99 but the Xbox 360 already a year old since it released in 2005 but it was still $399.99 in 2006 plus the PS2 was still being made and it was around $129.99 while GameCube and Original Xbox were already being phrased out but were being sold used at GameStop for a few years after but i didn’t get my Wii til around September 2007 for my 14th birthday because they were sold out during its first year can’t believe the PS3/Xbox 360/Wii are nearly 18/19 years old and I’m 30 soon to be 31 crazy how fast time flies and this is like a time capsule.
Damn..I was 26yrs old when this was going down. And was in the process of buying my house. Had already got the 360. Anticipated buying the Wii and, PS3. Couldn't find either until mid summer 2007. And then bought both Wii and PS3. My son was 4yrs old. And he and I would play all three systems a lot! Hell...I still have all three. And, we still play them as much or even more than the Switch and Series X haha...7th gen was such an amazing time for gaming, the gaming world and, industry.
I was 13 and I was still on the GameCube around the time this video was uploaded but I didn’t get my Wii until late 2007 because they were sold out I also wanted a PS3 back then but my parents didn’t let me get one because they were expensive.
It’s a frustrating problem! Long ago on RU-vid there was a way to organize your videos into “Shows”, and you could set TV-style ratings on them. Well, that system went away, but the ratings stuck around, and apparently TV-PG means it’s not acceptable for all audiences. Now there’s nothing I can do to change it, and RU-vid is no help at all.
Dude, I remember watching this series (specifically this episode) many years ago when I was a young lad, probably below the age of ten. Today at work I watched a video relating to the NES earlier today and this channel popped into my head and I knew I had to go check, and it's excellent to see Famicom Dojo is still uploading today! Keep up the good work mate <3
Thanks! Not only are we still uploading over at @FamicomDojo and @FamicomDojoLIVE, but we’re hard at work on a whole wash of new videos as well as “SP Edition” versions of these early ones! We have some drafts available for our Patreon supporters.
Hmm... nice finds you got at the Akihabara Haul. But... one thing, Sean... I've listened to clips of "R.P.G. (Instrumental)" and "Famicom Thrash (Instrumental)" by the Imari Tones, on various videos, like the "Don't Blow It" video and such like, but I haven't listened to the entire instrumental versions of both songs they've composed for you and Vinnk at Famicom Dojo. Maybe providing us an instrumental version of both tracks (alongside an instrumental version of "One More Continue") might be good.
@@SeanOrange actually pretty psyched to know that. The original famicom series is basically how I learned all about the various jp versions of things yrs ago. Funny enough I still remember most of these jokes all the same even if it's prob been a decade since I watched it last haha.
I have a Famicom 3D system that I bought at a video game convention along with a few of the games that are compatible. The goggles are pretty comfortable and looked epic testing 3D hot rally.
@@SeanOrange lmao yeah. i'm 15. also, turns out the disk system was broken and the seller never told me. (i got my money back) however, i am famicom-less
Ooh, that’s a toughie. They’re weirdly not plentiful, and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one. You might try @FamicomVinnk over at japanretrodirect.ocnk.com to see if he ever gets those in stock.
I was 5 years old in 2006. I never had the Wii but played it a lot at friends houses. I grew up playing the Xbox 360 Kinect which I would always playfully argue with my friends about how it was way better then the Wii lol. Still the Wii was very fun to play and a big part of my childhood. Crazy to think 2006 was nearly 20 years ago. I’m 22 years old now.
