The secret is to put the dexron 6. I had 2008 which I purchased 6 months old. Sold it with 360,000 KMs in 2020. Only things I replace was starter motor alternator and one set plugs. I used tow a big trailer. I had to put manual switches for fans, which I had to turn on at the start on trip, otherwise once the fans kick in, I fighting losing battle. I always used synthetic in motor and Auto. When under warranty I use to take oils to local mechanic and watch out them in.

ah, every time I try to watch this video on my TV the youtube app crashes! Happened 3 times in a row now. (I'm sure its not really your video causing it Byron)
My Glow plug light keeps flashing intermittently in my RD28 GQ when driving sometimes. Also when starting, sometimes the glow plug stays on and goes off after 5 secs as it should. Intermittent problem. Dunno whether changing the relay will fix it or not. Any ideas?
How good was just thinking my old short wheel base safari glow plugs aren't working and needed to investigate but didn't know where to start.... You're a bloody legend! Thanks so much! Go you good thing! Keeping us poor buggers rolling in our old Nissans😎🤙
I have a 1988 TD42 GQ with about 347,000k's on the clock, im having rough start issues in the cold as well, runs rough for about 10 - 15 seconds then all good, perfectly timed video, appreciate you pointing out all the parts to the glow plug circuit, its time to do some digging into my own. Cheers.
hi mate..i hv a opel calais 1997 with a 2.6l v6 dualram(c26ne)..just wanna ask u about the fuel rail inlet and outlet return to tank lines..which is which?..cheers mate
Hi Byron! Are you available for some work on my Vy commodore and HSV VT CLUBSPORT. You can use them on your channel. I have many quality parts to be fitted. Hard to find a good mechanic I can trust. Most will not fit parts that customers supply. How can I contact you? If not, can you recommend anyone in perth eastern suburbs.
Hi mate I've watched your video back a few times as I'm trying to find out where exactly on the transmission is the main TCM / BCM plug? Its the loom that runs from the transmission to the TCM or possibly the BCM or maybe even both I'm not entirely sure but any help or direction would be much appreciated mate
@@downtheshedwithbyron Ah sorry mate don't quite get what you mean by discount? Assuming thats a typo yeah? Okay so Reason i'm trying to locate the TCM to transmission wiring loom is because I need to find the earth wire isolate it strip it crimp a new eyelet and remount the earth wire to a NEW position. Found out recently after several years of being fked around misdiagnosed flat out lied to by several well known big name workshop "Technicians" the P0717 fault code isn't the "transmissions fked get a new one" NOT at all but in fact It's actually a common wiring problem with the TCM earth down where it plugs into the transmission under the car it's taken me nearly 3 years to pin it down and correctly diagnose the fault I'm so ready to dive in and fix this bad earth once and for all it's bane of my existence I swear
@@joshbrookes6439 yeah sorry the plug i disconnected was just on the side of the transmission going into the top Is that a fault with the 4 speed trans or 6 speed Thats something that would be handy to share with others
Love the videos where it shows everything that my cat can figure out, but how to remove the axle from transmission, because they all are stuck in there, nothing.
The Big fella and i were stuffing around with it and found the fuel pump had failed Changed that and bam starts haha Now to find some time to get back in to it Hows the partol going?
