Woohoo! I’ve just had a knee replacement so I’m laid up in the loungeroom and I’m CASTING this on to my big screen! I’m SO stoked cos it’s like introducing the missus to a dear friend she’d heard about but not met yet! I’ve been listening to CS for a couple years and I’m like ‘Hey hon come see! Ok see this lady? Starts EVERY day with checking out HUNDREDS of news articles-your kinda job/person right?! And that guy! That’s him that’s Ryan Fugit and behind him is the rotor blade he was given….’ You get the idea. Cheers to you and your amazing community from a fan in Western Australia!
Please come to the Philippines because your helicopter expertise would help a lot in the Balikatan exercise. We need your flying hours, expertise, experience in conflict and evasion techniques for our Philippine Air Force pilots, crew and pararescue. Thanks a lot. Hope you come. God bless America !
Ha! In the mid-70's, the Navy wanted to push me toward intelligence, and I desparately wanted aviation. I did go the aviation path, and yes, I am very 'mathletic'. I enjoyed that conversation segment with Michelle. It is interesting how a person's path in the military is cast.
I watch 13 hours at least twice a month. We can never forget how Americans were treated when in trouble in a foreign country. Leadership matters. Obama, Biden, Hillary are worthless.
This is at least the third time I hear Kim “KC” Campbell tells her story about her A-10 being hit over Baghdad, and once again I find myself sitting on the edge of my chair. What a story! What a great pilot!
This video, like all others, kinda spreads propaganda against China and the Chinese. “In China, everybody breaks the law”, he says. Hahahaha. It’s crazy how Americans are going to believe this propaganda without ever visiting China or understanding the culture and people, which is sad.
Your interview with Rick Hogg and his dogg Dukeo is by far the best ever. Everyone should make sure to listen to it especially Rick's views on life! There are lessons there for all. Don't they have medals for service members like Dukeo.
Occupation is one of the hardest things the military can ask of their members, and one of the most important. Asking an Lt to administer a territory under occupation seems like a heck of a weight to carry.
Stupid story about hovering outside temple is incredibly selfish, crass & disrespectful to beautiful religion & culture. Like an arrogant, spoilt child. Not just by today's standards, by any.
You're right Dan, _"It is what it is"_ embodies a sense of acceptance and resignation toward a situation that cannot be changed. It acknowledges reality without attempting to alter it or pretending it's something different. The expression often conveys a pragmatic, even stoic attitude, implying that despite one's best efforts or fervent desires, the circumstances remain as they are. While some feel the phrase is overused, it serves as a reminder to let go of frustration and move forward, focusing on that which can be influenced, rather than dwelling on that which cannot. In essence, it encourages a practical approach to life, emphasizing the importance of accepting the present moment and _dealing with it as it stands._
Yup, acceptance of the position we find ourselves in; is paramount to navigating our way through it; without extra drama of our own creation. We pays for our ticket and we rides the ride. Every day is a gift, no matter how much a day may suck to get through. We can choose to learn from it, to better navigate the days following or we can choose to be miserable and miss the gift that the experience is/was.
He talks about the '90's Army 10th Mountain and the "Panama Era Humvees".....I'll tell ya where those Humvees were in the 90's. We took them to Haiti in '94 and did a full blown air assault tropical island invasion from the USS Eisenhower....which was pretty cool. Before that, we took them to Somalia in '93, lived and fought out of them for seven months in that.....place. I'd be happy to know now that some of those old vehicles, with Ft. Drum pine needles still under the seats, Somali dust in the seams, and voodoo hexes laid on them eventually made it to Afghanistan.
I know in your humility you’ll just say you’re an average pilot but to me you’re a living example of American 🇺🇸 excellence. We should all strive to be like you. Thank you sir.
Not military, but have had that dogg connection myself. Your best by far interview ever! Not just the dogg story but the personal Hogg story. This man and his dogg Ducko are above and beyond amazing.

Saw the note from my friend John Townsend (below). I was privileged to fly both 1 SOS and 8 SOS MC130Es. Just a note to give some credit due - the three MC130E aircraft that flew to Desert One were from the 1st SOS from Kadena AB on Okinawa. Two of the crews of those Combat talons were 1st SOS, the third crew was from 8th SOS. All the crews on the EC130s were from the 8th SOS.
It really is the problem of the people that are paid money and support by the US government. The problem with the US government is he wants everything for free like slave labor, He simply wants to incriminate you as a part of his free. Where he doesnt have to pay for anything he does it over and over like a manipulation like enslavement, the army can be dangerous that way mentally. Some people don't know the depth of slavery and the army. China is the problem of the people who are paid by the USA, blame game is not going to work that way. To some extent it is a sad story of taking advantage especailly in the army because people lose their life. That will always be the situation between slavery and the army, how much taking advantage can happen?
This was an awesome episode. Thank you. I wish they would teach those lessons to all teachers. Both my daughters are teachers, one is special ed. Thank you!
