I saw something similar to 3:20 in what I wouldn't consider a nightmare or a positive dream. I was at one end of a hallway with literally identical floor patterns, and at the other end was a small stage with the curtains closed. I slowly walked to the end of the hallway without a thought in my mind and stepped up onto the stage. After a short pause, I carefully opened the curtains to see the interior. Once inside, I looked around and noticed miscellaneous supplies laid on the walls, such as decorations and chairs. But what really was on my mind was the vast landscape the end of the backstage opened to. It was a field of grass interrupted by a hill in the center. Then, it all clicked: I was seeing the Windows '95 default wallpaper. And just as I was about to step into the grass, I woke up. I assume the reason I still remember the dream to this day is because of how unique, delicate, and confusing it was, as well as the itching sensation in the back of my head telling me that there is a deeper, more sophisticated meaning to the dream. Pretty cool.
I wonder if liminal spaces is what limbo feels like. Maybe if you don’t go to heaven or hell you stay as a Ghost on earth this is where you go. Maybe when we see ghosts interacting with our environment it’s because are trying to escape the liminal limbo.
0:00 This place is wonderful, There are a lot of things you want! 0:27 The path on the left looks fun, but it will take you a while to get to the top. 0:54 you slept and your parents accidentally forgot about you 1:21 Hmm, leave the staff room quickly 1:48 NOOOOO, GET IT BACK!!!! 2:15 Unfortunately the sport will not start because of the flood, go home 2:42 do not enter the water, it's toxic, stay up 3:09 Do you want to live here? You will be closed forever. 3:36 Welcome to your new house after the divorce! Do you like it? 4:03 the water tastes like chlorine, go to the surface 4:30 prepare 4:57 man you should have arrived at the mall late, This is unfair, isn't it? 5:24 go back to your room, don't interrupt them 5:51 drink the water, it's sweet, but don't go into the deep 6:18 You woke up in a better place! 6:45 One bright morning, go outside 7:11 Better stay up until they catch the sharks 7:39 Stay where there is light, okay? You'll be safe like this. 8:06 literally everything is at -50°C, take your car and go home 8:33 Now all the customers have left, but still working 9:01 Take advantage of your childhood, GO! 9:27 The party is over, the best memories 9:55 Go out and you will live happily, you will no longer be like before..
0:00 oh no, you're dead, sorry 0:15 hide in the bathroom of your house immediately, and stay quiet 0:30 Stop looking at it, look away, or your eyes will burst 0:45 Slowly move your car away from him and take another route 1:00 why you had to DO THAT SATANIC RITUAL, now forgive me, you already went 1:15 You shouldn't have believed your friends. 1:30 The exit door is closed, the only way to escape is to jump out of the window as quickly as possible. 1:45 hide and turn off your flashlight and get away from the abandoned place quickly 2:00 there is no time, no one will hear your screams 2:15 You are waiting in your trench for a German attack, but WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE GIANT CREATURES? 2:30 Run and go to the nearest police station 2:44 you should have quit your job... 3:00 GET OUT OF THE PARKING LOT FAST AND DON'T ASK FOR HELP, if you do tomorrow you will die brutally 3:16 kill him with your rifle fast, FAST 3:30 find him his favorite stuffed animal quickly 3:45 RUN UNTIL YOU FIND THE EXIT DOOR, DON'T LOOK BACK 4:00 The movie is over, now it's his turn to devour 4:15 It seems you have come to the wrong place 4:30 get out of that graveyard QUICKK 4:45 the invasion has begun, pray to God so they don't find you 5:00 The worst mistake you made is staying home alone when your parents went out. 5:15 You are the unfortunate one to meet him, tomorrow you will wake up dead 5:30 run as much as you can, or it will break you in two 5:44 Don't worry, now that you burned down the orphanage, they are coming to get revenge on you. 6:00 leave that abandoned place, or it is unknown what will happen to you 6:15 You shouldn't have gone outside to investigate the strange sounds near your cabin. 6:30 just close the door before you die horribly
7:12 has that particular phobia, followed by the next. 6:22 has an impending horror lurking around with that maddening feeling 8:23 is quite beautiful, yet some anguish felt within the dark wanderlust.
The Spatial Investigation Service (SIS) ### Liminal Space Analysis Model (LSAM) #### Assumptions: 1. Spatial Coordinates (x, y, z): Represent the location in a 3D space. 2. Temporal Component (t): Represents time, crucial for transitional states. 3. Occupancy Function (O(x, y, z, t)): Measures human presence, ranging from 0 (empty) to 1 (fully occupied). 4. Ambiguity Index (A(x, y, z, t)): Quantifies the level of ambiguity, ranging from 0 (clear purpose) to 1 (ambiguous purpose). #### Key Equations: 1. Liminal Space Density (LSD): \[ LSD(x, y, z, t) = abla \cdot \mathbf{E}(x, y, z, t) + \frac{\partial O(x, y, z, t)}{\partial t} \] Where \( abla \cdot \mathbf{E}\) is the divergence of the environmental entropy vector \(\mathbf{E}(x, y, z, t)\). 2. Environmental Entropy (E): \[ \mathbf{E}(x, y, z, t) = -k abla A(x, y, z, t) \] Where \(k\) is a constant of proportionality. 3. Transition Probability (P): \[ P(x, y, z, t) = \frac{1}{1 + e^{-\lambda (LSD(x, y, z, t) - \theta)}} \] Where \(\lambda\) is the steepness of the logistic function and \(\theta\) is the threshold liminal space density. 4. Temporal Stability (TS): \[ TS(t) = \int_{V} P(x, y, z, t) \, dV \] Where \(V\) is the volume of the space under consideration. 5. Liminal Anomaly Detection (LAD): \[ LAD(t) = \frac{d^2 TS(t)}{dt^2} \] A high value indicates rapid changes in the liminal properties, suggesting an anomaly. ### Interpretation: - LSD(x, y, z, t) combines spatial and temporal changes in occupancy and environmental entropy to measure the "liminality" of a space. - P(x, y, z, t) indicates the probability of a space being in a liminal state. - TS(t) integrates this probability over the entire volume, giving an overall measure of temporal stability. - LAD(t) helps detect anomalies in liminal spaces, which could be of interest to SIS for monitoring unusual activities. ### Hypothetical Scenario: In an abandoned building, the SIS measures high \(\mathbf{E}\) and low \(O\), resulting in a high LSD. If \(TS(t)\) fluctuates rapidly, the LAD alerts the agency to investigate potential hidden activities or transitions occurring in this space. These equations allow SIS to systematically analyze and monitor liminal spaces, providing insights into their dynamics and potential anomalies.
i havent seen any of those places in a nightmare but a nightmare i saw one time was that i was with some friends in a swamp when we encountered a random house, we threw stones at the house when a black stick figure with big eyes came out of the house, ran tawards me, grabbed me by the neck and told me that if i ever throw stones at his house and then he let me leave, i still wonder to this day what he would do to me because he didnt say what he would do because he let me leave and then i woke up
Fun fact: The music at 11:40 is not from The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth but one of its DLC's called Repentance! The song went unused in Rebirth but its used in Repentance and replaces the credits song after you beat Mom's heart 10 times. Theres even an alternate version called Jesus Loves Viggo which has Isaac himself singing the song.
