@@jamessturgeon622 I didn’t make this When I was a child I hear somebody whispering while I’m sleeping I remeber my dream was about a school I never was before I was alone And I’m only wake up when I could finnally understand what the whispers says “Don’t you remeber here?” Now I feel like I was a another person sometimes
I went to a nearly identical park when I was a kid as well, only the one I went to was in RI. Maybe some company made building kits for them or something. Perhaps there are several playgrounds that look just like that all over the place. How weird, huh?
This particular style of play structure is actually an “open source” community service project. I forget the name of the designers, but lots of towns and neighborhoods in the 80’s and 90’s built these with publicly available free blueprints. Many were removed after years of weathering and increased playground safety regulations, but the one in my city is still up and repaired semi-regularly.
HOLY HECK - The picture at 0:53 is the playground in Regatta Park in Lincoln City, Oregon. I went there when I was 6 - my parents and I were visiting my Grandma and Grandpa. The playground was so fun!
That's interesting because I have a park near me that looks exactly like the picture. Same material and monkey bars. The ground doesn't look similar though.
0:53 oh wow that is a leathers and associates playground.... id been to multiple in multiple states up and down the east coast as my family moved around often in my childhood.... cant believe id forgotten about them! i tell you what, a lot of these photos really bring out nostalgia for me as someone who has vague childhood memories of various different sceneries, but that one especially hit me like a truck having seen that sort of visual so many times in the past... thank you for allowing me to remember this
Same, if just for one day I could go there and then come right back, I’d do it. I have a feeling that if it was possible I’d meet you, but not even know it was you. Wouldn’t that be crazy if we actually went back for just one day?
5:04 reminds me of how last March during my birthday when covid just started and me and my dad were the only one at the mall, there was this one huge place with just basketball jerseys and a cashier the jerseys covered the whole wall and I bought two of them then I went to finish line and same thing jordans covering every inch of the store
0:30 I'm living in America but I may move to china (if not then myanmar) and I will probably take a sleeper train while in china to travel across the country, this one hits close to home. You didn't take it from my memory, but from my future.
That skating rink could honestly be current haha! I saw a video with some guys doing carpet shampooing at a skating rink a few months ago and it looked exactly like that.
Ight lemme break it down. Videos like this have been being suggested to people recently. I love the style. But, the reason they all feel so familiar, is because most of us are between the ages of 20-30, and we grew up in the late 90s early 2000s. Most if not all of these pictures are from that time. Whats cool is that most of these, are of places almost everyones been to at some point. Places you really only see once or twice. Places you forget about. Little things that dont stick. And later, when you see them again, its like your the same kid you were when you first saw it. That, is why i think these are so captivating.
0:14 heyhey! I think I have actually been here irl! Not in just the surreal/liminal sense! I'm pretty sure its the RECA skaterink, my mom and I used to go there for a few years until it closed down, we were close friends with the staff, it was really fun.
I know the park at 1:00 it burned down about a decade ago. I’m seeing a lot of people in the comments saying they know the place also so it must not be a unique design. I remember after it burned down there was a city wide reconstruction project and 4th grade me got to help rebuild with the rest of my class
Something about 0:27 really unnerves me. Reminds me of like school themed nightmares. and 5:44 too. it looks like that one room that is just empty for no reason. like. maybe theres a spare printer in there or old cables. stuff like that. jsut feels like im not supposed to be there. 0:55 I had a playground like that near me as a kid. My area got rid of them all though because of pressure treated wood. 4:24 makes me extremely sad because it reminds me of things that are gone. 6:39 reminds me of my grandparents first apartment after i was born....theyre all gone now.
you know why these are so popular right now. right? its jsut becuase we havent done any of these things since march. lol we'll be back in out own memories soon enough guys. stay strong.
0:01 I could’ve sworn this is similar to the lunchroom I’ve eaten in elementary school I can still remember some things and half of the things even from pre-k
@@spacecore6340 I am literally sitting in the same dorm and laughing cause the rooms still looks exactly the same as on the vid lol I mean, I already passed 4 years of college so I got used to it. At least it's worm here.
Look, I grew up in Poland and the first one hits hard. Its like from an add that I've seen in tv but I dont remeber what the add wanted to promote. (BTW SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH)
I kinda recognize some of these places, one looks like a place I went roller skating at a few times, and another legit just looks like the playground at my kindergarten
4:16 Wait dude, thats My memory, I remember being there it's on "La cueva" from El Salvador, I live there and we go recently that place, there where more mushrooms like these and I swimmed a Lot. Kinda fun
@@SonarTheBat I guess that could be the word. But- specific past trauma-memory. Negative memory. Past nightmare. ... No word in the English language, at least. There's probably a German compound word made for this feeling.
NAH HANG ON, WAIT-- 0:53 I actually KNOW that playground, I think! I went there once as a kid, it's near Carlsbad, New Mexico. So I guess that means....that "someone else" whose memories it's from...is me
That's so weird, the first time I watched this,] the images were just glitched out colors, I thought all the comments were joking about them actually being pictures. But now the video is normal for me, strange.
0:53 wait… that- that’s the place i used to go to all the time as a kid, it was right next to a water park with another large building in the distance… what the f*ck… (°^°) i’m not even kidding right now. My great grandma took me there all the time..
0:19 This kinda reminds me of...Fun Zone? That's what it used to be called. The place now goes by a different name, A-Play. Or something. 6:56 Speak of the devil... (I think)
Weird question anyone know the time period of these? Like late 80s-mid 90s? I always have dreams I’m at similar places with people I actually never met but feel like I know them. Kinda hard to explain
I know exactly what you’re taking about. It’s been two months since you e posted this, and I just happened to see it now. Those feelings, they’re warm and comforting, but almost a little too much. I try to tell my family about these things, but they don’t really understand. I hope you share the same connection as me, stranger.
0:55 holy shit, wait I think I know that place, we called it castle park in West Jordan, Utah. Right next to the library and county courthouse, they destroyed the original thing your looking at with something more new. (And kinda bland) but holy crap I think that is it?… or maybe it was a picture from my dreams…
