@@returnoftheromans6726 my car dreams always consist of me sitting in the back of the car and no one's driving so i scramble to keep myself from crashing right before i wake up might be a metaphor or sumn
9:41 something about this image gives me a really helpless feeling. Like when you decide to stay home while your family goes out, but you change your mind, so you put on your shoes and run outside, but you see the car is already driving away. They're gone, and you can't do anything now. That kinda feeling.
2:40 actually made me feel kinda happy and calm, I just imagine sitting waiting for the train sipping a hot cocoa, maybe waiting with a friend, or going to go meet someone. But the rest of this compilation is hell lmao.
2:00 is legitimately the most terrifying out of all of these, it feels like staying overnight at a relative's house, and you suddenly wake up at like 2 in the morning and feel that something is watching you from a dark corner of the room. 9:40 feels like going to a work or church meeting with your mom and leaving last at like 10 in the evening because she stayed to chat with someone after the meeting had ended.
0:01 Just keep going straight. 0:23 Wrong turn. 0:44 Go back to your car. 1:00 They are inside. 1:20 Run to the elevator. 1:50 You just need some gas, then you can leave this town. 2:00 Pretend your asleep. 2:21 Don't hide in the rooms, they'll know. 2:42 Hide. It will be here soon. 3:01 Get to the door and go. 3:21 They're all behind the curtains. They know you're there. 3:40 This is real life. 4:02 You are in danger. 4:22 It's right there. It can see you, you cannot see it. 4:41 It's looking at you. 5:03 Where did everyone go? 5:24 You should have stayed with the group. 5:41 Do not look behind you. 6:02 You fell asleep in class, they forgot to wake you up. 6:21 It's not just sharks. 6:41 You were in the bathroom when they closed. 7:01 This isn't the same park. 7:21 It's about to open the door. 7:41 Fear will be your last emotion. 8:01 You aren't supposed to go in his room. 8:22 It is not safe. 8:41 There are no doors to this room. 9:01 It's following you 9:21 You need to hide. 9:41 They will all show up soon. 10:01 It's going to drag you down. 10:21 It's just out of your view.
2:00 is definitely one of the scariest for me because it looks like my grandmothers apartment and I have very distinct memories from there. I always had this weird thing where no matter what I ate, I would always end up getting sick at the very early hours of the morning when I visited her. This sound is so familiar and strangely something I always remember when I think back to those late nights. 7:41 is also very horrifying to me. It reminds me my late great grandfathers chair in his old home and the sound again is very familiar, I can’t quite place why though.
2:00 is also the most terrifying for me. For me it conveys this feeling of sleeping at a distant relative's house for the first time, waking up in cold sweat at 2 in the morning because may have heard a strange noise, and just sitting on the bed/couch in the near darkness being unable to move, paralyzed by primal fear, with this exact ominous music playing in your head, expecting something to jump out of the dark corner at any moment.
Watching this right before going to sleep. I wonder what my dream will look like Upd: ok, i didn't expect so much attention, so here i am. First of all: i did NOT die. That's good. Second of all: i didn't have any dreams that night, so i made the whole playlist of videos like this, and some nights after i got the result. So, i "woke up" at a really strange place. It was a huge flat without any windows. It had many rooms, like, 2 bedrooms, 3 children rooms for different-aged children, a living room, two cabinets, a huge bathroom (like a pool), a small bathroom, something between gym and living room, a dining room, working room for kids and some halls. Some of the rooms were in pastel colours (light-yellow, pink, blue, lilac, smth like that), some were completely white, some had a lot of dark furniture in it. There were also so much... holes(?) near the walls. There were just huge deep holes in the floor, but they were decorated with wood and bronze, like in museums or old metro stations. And there were also many stairs, they leaded up and deep down, but i didn't look where EXACTLY do they lead. Pretty wise decision, i think. There was a room for a toddler or even younger child - it wasn't even a room, it was a part of the hall with a fence, it had blankwts on the floor, some creepy old toys, like dolls and plushies. The last ones were scarier, they always stared at me. And there was a cupboard 1 meter deep, all empty. There were another disturbing details. There was a hair comb with long girls hair on it and lots of small colourful scrunchees, like for a primary school girl or younger, but there was nobody who could use them. Not a single soul. Or there were green notebooks all in messy handwriting, but i couldn't read anything. The other rooms were too empty, it was scary too. And there was no exit. I was just wandering around this eerie flat for a long time and was feeling truly anxious. And then i was like "hell no, this place is too cursed to be real, i am dreaming, it's time to wake up". But i could not. I scared me even more. I started to hear creepy sounds, so i started running around the flat in order to find an exit. Then i saw a dark figure. It didn't look like a human, and it was staring at me. But what was funny - it didn't scare me. I was this desperate to find the exit from this cursed place that didn't realise that i may be killed by a paranormal creature. But when i finally understood it, i thought "i'll try to scream, maybe it will go away". So i screamed at the top of my lungs and held the highest note i could ever sing. And only then i woke up. I felt like i was there 10 hours or more, but in reality i barely slept more than 3 hours. ...okay, it was way longer than i expected. What can i say? This dream was different from my usual nightmares. Usually there's a lot of action in them, and tgere was just an endless feeling of anxiety, pressure and fear. It was a truly great experience, but i don't want to repeat it. It really scared me. Excuse my bad english and thank you for the attention. Good night!
You decide to watch a cool looking video called "places you've seen in your nightmares" you watch it but the images seem very familiar, at the point 2:40 in the video you look up and look behind you, you see the same exact room, pitch black and no people, then you see the souless eyes of a monstrosity starting at you, RUN.
5:20 alright so I live in Ohio, and when I was younger, me and my dad always used to go to this basically dead mall because it had a really cool arcade in it. There were never any people in it, and almost no stores open even though the mall itself was gigantic. So anyways, there was about a 10 minute walk in the mall to actually get to the arcade, and I gotta say it was literally the best. There were like never any lights on, but there were a bunch of windows that bright sunlight shone through, and so going up and down escalators and walking through these tall hallways and everything alone, oh my god it was so amazing. I’m not sure if that mall is still standing, but I’m gonna find out and see if I can go back in there. Would so love to see it again. Don’t know why but this image really triggered those memories even though this looks nothing like the mall itself. (It was very large and open and had like 3 floors) Just wanted to share it because I miss going there :) Edit: ok so update, I actually found a few videos on RU-vid that talk about the exact mall itself. The best one I’ve found is called “The deadest mall in america” by this RU-vid channel named TheSilentRobShow. In the video, he goes through the mall and meets up at the exact arcade I used to go to. I think it’s the Mills mall in Cincinnati, at least that’s what my dad said. Please go look at that video because it’s great and it brought back a lot of great memories for me. (I will post another update if I ever go back to that mall).
4:00 When I still lived in my grandparents' house, one of the neighbors has a hallway that connects the living room/family room and the kitchen, IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THIS. I loved visiting that one neighbor's house to meet up and play some games with other kids around the neighborhood when I was 4. However, I'm the only one of those kids who never went in to the hallway, and you can see why
6:48 reminds me of a dream I had where I was shoplifting a bunch of chocolate, and as I was trying to run away from someone who caught me, I ended up in a place that was like a mix of the backrooms, and old lady’s house, and a theater backstage. It was weird.
8:20 is extremely terrifying for people in Poland because there are thousands of schools that look EXACTLY THE SAME. During the communism in the 1000th anniversary of Poland the government decided to build tons of "modern" schools that all look all the same. That means that almost everyone young enough who lives in Poland have seen this exact hallway. In my city door on the right led to IT class and on the left there was History class. Absolutely terrifying to see these familiar hallways dark and abandoned
@@tadeuszbusko9517 Właśnie o to chodziło mi w komentarzu.
0:20 I used to have a reoccurring nightmare where I definitely saw something like this. It was: I woke up in the trunk/back area? of suv type car. The car was not one I recognized. I peeked up from the back and tried to see where I was. When I looked up, the driver turned around and looked at me. I ducked down as quick as I could, but the driver pulled over. I close my eyes really tight and I hear the noises of the driver unbuckling, opening the door, getting out, shutting the drivers door, and walking over to the back. The driver opens the back and picks me up like a baby. I open my eyes quickly and see that it’s a man with stubble and glasses. I can feel him walk down a hill, then he throws me into a ditch. I kept my eyes shut tight as I heard him walk up the hill, close the trunk, open the drivers, door, close it, then drive off. There was water at the bottom of this ditch, cold, dirty water. I could feel it seep into my clothes. I start to weep and I pull my shirt up to my face. That’s where the nightmare always ended.
3:01 Reminds me of a dream i had where i was in some sort of spaceship and i was in this chamber with a bunch of wires in it and i had to go to the other side while floating in 0 gravity and every time i came in contact with a wire i felt a very mild electrical shock
Seeing this gave me a burning desire to recreate these images as interactive 3d spaces. Edit: I have now made an almost complete game where you can explore liminal spaces.
True. Get a picture of a work break room full of employees strapping their Covid masks on getting ready for "legendary customer service" for $11 an hour.
The only thing scarier than a creepy place with a scary creature in it is a place without a scary creature in it. The fear of knowing that there is something that you can’t see but that can clearly see you is a whole lot scarier than both of you knowing where you are
That's litteraly sums up my phobia of being alone or known as monophobia or autophobia People thinks that autophobia or monophobia is that you are not afraid being alone but being alone with something.... Else I disagree
I’d somewhat disagree with that, but your not wrong. Although, when something is truly there, and you have no idea what it is, it gives off the same energy
The school one at 8:20 is actually got a intresting story The picture of the school is in Katowice poland, it seems to date somewhere between the 1970 and early 80s by the prp flouresent lighting The obvious polish coa hanging on the walls and the wooden beam on the wall aswell as the two tone walls give off a weird vibe As for the location, the oldest images seem to be taken in katowice and only katowice Katowice is a city in the southern mountains between krakow and prague and is one of Polands largest cities The school i believe is a grade school (for americans its basically k-12) This photo was kinda obviously taken at late afternoon or early night and nobody but the photographer is at the school A great image indeed, definitely belongs on the thumbnail
I once had a dream about Hell. I was in a white room between a closet door and a room door, I opened the closet door and out came black fog (as black as blindness itself), and I think I heard sadistic laughter in a voice that sounds demonic and distorted coming from inside the closet, I closed the closet door and went to the other door and the dream ended.
Checkered floors are a common thing in David Lynch's works like Twin Peaks, which some of those are told that subtly treat about masonic/occultism practices
5:04 i used to live in a small suburban house a year ago and it was surrounded with forest and a field. a couple of houses were behind the clearing in the forest right to the field. i used to take late night walks sometimes while the players were practicing baseball/etc. late at night. i think the reason this image struck me so hard is that this is a perfect visual representation of what it felt like to walk back to my house after everybody went home.
6:23 this one was so accurate. I remember having a nightmare really similar to this one, my house was flooded and there was sharks swimming in my room. 00:24 this one also was really accurate. I don't why, but I feel nostalgic, I remember the old days when I was backing home after a long day playing with my friends, the streets were really similiar to the one in the picture, the sky was kind of purple, and there was trees on the side of the street.
hey y'all so out of curiosity, does anyone else here that has childhood trauma get triggered by a lot of liminal space photos? Like idk if its just me but liminal spaces feel familiar but at the same time unknown, and they feel empty but also nostalgic from the familiarity thing and sometimes dreadful from the unknown vibe. Generally the feel confusing/disorienting and sometimes comforting in a weird way. And liminal spaces are the kinda places people might see in dreams. And all of that is exactly how I feel about my childhood, and on top of that many liminal space pictures bring up certain memories I didn't know I had, because the places look so similar to where the memory room place. (ex. Liminal space photos of rooms in old houses are triggering for my ptsd which causes me to dissociate bc they remind me of homes I either lived in or visited regularly)
@@wetsockfullofhotmeat YEAH. I'm glad other people understand what I'm talking about lmao. And on a side note, I hope you're doing okay with coping and healing from the trauma if thats something you're working on. And I hope you're doing well/okay in general :)
One day at school the power went out over night. I had to walk in a long unnecessary hall to get the power on but luckily I was not alone four other students because there are five power boxes in the school but that did not work..... so we did school with no lights
It's the abandoned stores with the lights out that terrify me. I'm still scared of the dark to this day for some reason so seeing these images just sends a freaking chill down my spine man...
6:03 those are the type in which I'm hanging out with friends or family then whenever I see the scary dark place, my mind just starts thinking about scary ghosts (this happens in every similar nightmare) an extremely terrifying sound begins to play and I get pulled into the darkness followed by the dream ending
That was eerie. Great job. Some were not that bad, others a bad nightmare fuel and some looked like something straight outta Silent Hill. Very creepy compilation and the music fitted each image👌
I was in that exact place but it wasn’t a nightmare. all i did was walk along the road, but I was having an empty but nice feeling throughout the whole way. the only word I could describe it is blue
These videos are unsettling, sure. But they become scary when a place you've seen shows up. 10:00 I've been there. I dont remember what happened, but it wasn't good.
im really sorry for that nightmare. At 3:40 I was being chased by a really scary monster, the monster had a giant head with glowing white eyes, 4 arms, it was really tall and it was faster than a tiger. Nightmares are very scary.
4:43 gives me flashbacks of a hospital bed I sat in after I had surgery on my pelvis. The bed looks the exact same. The whole area does. Every night I’d go to bed in pain to the sound of helicopters, nurses walking down the dark halls, and the occasional sound of someone beeping a buzzer for a nurse to assist them.
@@trevorr1444 I hope the pain isn't that big...I also had to stay once because of the red dots that grew on my skin. I got the red dots at the time I got a injection for puking and later took some medicine for my throat ,ended up getting the red dots that were itchy :(.
@@nin5664 mm. I don’t like injections. I just despise hospitals in general since I have literal panic attacks. I had so much medicine to calm me down before a surgery one time that I couldn’t even stay awake for 10 minutes after waking up before I’d fall back asleep.
same bro! im just stressed almost any game developer did'nt made a game that captures the feeling of the images tbh, If there was a Liminal Space game, you wouldn't need monsters actually chasing you, because that would make it possible to create a psychological horror, something that goes very well with Liminal Spaces
These places are either incredibly close-up, leaving it difficult to escape or run properly, sometimes there isn’t even an exit. Some are very open, leaving very difficult to hide. Some are narrow, making it rather difficult to shake something otherworldly chasing behind you. A few restrict your movement, making your movements even more futile. One thing is certain. You are being watched.
i like going around exploring at night so the images themselves seem more exciting to me than spooky. places that might look mundane during the day take on a whole new feeling at nighttime, its like turning off the light switch and stepping into a completely unknown world.
4:32 I have seen this in my dream the room inside is completely dark u can't see anything and the stairs leading upward there is just a wall with a smile on it
I'd be scared shitless if I were to appear in one of these places but I still have a strong urge to explore them. It's like being allowed to see a place where you're not supposed to be
I actually used to attend that school. I recognize EVERYTHING in this photo. The floor patterns, the door to the right is the janitor's office, down the hallway to the left is an exit to the school yard and a staircase to 2 other floors.
2:49 I remember 2 or 3 years ago I had a dream the dream about me and my cousin and my brother were snowing outside we went out and playing out side the place was like that picture
ok this one is underrated asf its quality and its the longest one ive seen yet, this dude be out here doing the most and aint nobody seeing it, i subbed keep it up G
