My channel will be based on easy DIY craft projects. I have 4 beautiful children that I raise as well as trying to upload these homemade projects regularly for viewers. I enjoy having them participate and being able to spend the time with them. I'm going to upload a variety of projects using cement, recycled products, wood, foam etc and I'm going to try my best to upload at least weekly. So I hope you can subscribe to the channel so I can continue to be able to make videos with my family. Thanks
Hello noted that one could add foam soapy mixture to styrofoam pellets for better integration. Sand bag tubes in a circle and stacked beehive style for impenetrable heat and cooling efficient dome. Where do you source your pellets from question mark
sand bags are a thermal mass. they aren't impenetrable as it is not insulation. It will pick up heat or cold, and dissipate it at night. If it's hot enough for long in the day, it will be like an oven at night, shedding that acquired heat, even if the outside air is already cooler.
This was so helpful. Thank you. If I used the mesh tape technique on an exercise ball, can you give me an idea of how much weight it would hold? If I made 3 balls and laid a round piece of plywood on top (around 3 feet diameter) to make a table, would they be strong enough to hold? In your opinion, no liability.
As a process of creating the mold is very interesting, but does not look too much like the moai of Easter Island, lacking the profiled nose, pronounced chin and rounded forehead characteristic of these statues, not to mention that the lips are not so separated from the nose.
Im just starting this as a hobby. Thsnk you for the tutorial. Please dont stop what you doing. Your channel will definately grow. Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa! 👏
@@zacdaddiy8195 You will see your channel grow. Just be consistent and eventually it will be monetised. Having said that, the little detail is what makes it stand out from other channels. Thanx again.
significantly different... the original full concrete statue i can't move on my own, or even with my wife helping... i can pick this one up myself... i havent weighed them yet
@@zacdaddiy8195Thank you so much for your response. I am getting closer and closer to being able to make these myself! So excited! Two more questions: 1. Would regular Elmer's glue or carpenters glue mixed with water help make it stronger? 2. How on earth did you keep the rope from slipping off the ball? I have been thinking about this for a long time and I always picture the rope sliding off and causing extreme frustration.
Just realized I could slow down the video and I saw the answer to question 2-you tied it then pushed the ball down to sort of push back on the rope when you let it go!
it used to be readily available, now it seems not so much as the world cracks down on plastic etc, however it is repurposing ao im not sure why its not readily available. next step is bean bag beans, it gives a similiar effect but its more involved ao i dont like it
I made a 3 feet by 4 feet long, 2 feet high planter box, 5 inches thick, using plywood forms. To get a stone wall look, i drew rock shapes with pencil, then applied beads of silicone caulking on the pencil lines, to serve as fake joints between the fake stones. Roughed up the plywood for fake stone surfaces. Coated the forms with motor oil. Forms and silicone joints came off easily. I was very pleased how it turned out, and very easily done. I used brown dye and charcoal dye for the joints, after parging everything. Very authentic looking.
HI, What was the skim coat you put on your piece over the styro/concrete mixture? Do you think black paint and PVA glue would do the same as your mixture? Thank you
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. I purchased them from a local store but it seems they dont want to supply it anymore, so I will be making a shredder to shred my own now by the looks of things
I got mine free from a furniture store. Believe or not, they burn theirs. Once acquired, strip into smaller pieces with a wire cutter, and feed them into a leaf mulcher vacume blower. the bag will collect all your shredded styro.
