Hello my name is Randy and I'm an IT Professional and Motorcycle Enthusiast. On this channel I'll take you with me on my Motorcycle Travels. I take two long distance motorcycle trips a year covering multiple states to ride some of the best roads in the US. You'll witness me seeing the sights of the local tourism in the many locations I travel to. You'll also see me give reviews and do installs on the products I have purchased over the years. My goal is to reveal how motorcycling has changed my life and I hope it just might change yours as well.
Just came upon this video how’s the road sofa treating you. One question how’s the passenger like the gel seat pad. I have a saddlemen step up seat and love it. Need an upgrade over the stock hammock HD seat planning on a 2500 mile round trooper in August I’ll easily put 1000 on a new seat before then thanks for the long term review
@@JoeFurtado-xv5no I still love it and I have well over 30K miles on it now. I haven’t had as many miles with a passenger but I’m told it is comfortable
I'm 5'10" also, should be ok to the ground but I have stock bars on my Street Glide which are pretty much right where I like them but with a higher seat the bars will be lower for me. Thank You very much for your response, Much Appreciated 👍 I'm leaning towards purchasing a Saddlemen Road Sofa since both our behinds are pretty sore after a 200 mile day 😅
Great Review! Do you ever bother using the rain cover? And also does that leather treatment make the seat slippery? Thank You for all the helpful information 😎👍
@@michaelroy925 Yeah I use it if I’m caught in the rain. Any seat with this kind of stitching will soak up water. I actually sprayed some waterproofing on the cover to help with water resistance. There is some little slipperiness with the leather treatment but it’s not bad and eventually goes away.
The cam ring tool is the "Lang 492 Fuel Tank Lock Ring tool" available on-line from numerous suppliers. Since I didn't have one, I used a 1/4" nut driver handle and a 5 pound jack to tap the cam ring loose being sure to progressively hit all four tabs in sequence. Worked fine.
Hi Sinister Clutch, thank you for making this video, my Rinehart exhaust blocks my case also. This gave me hope, that I don’t have to fully remove my headers❤Ride Hard💪🏼, Be Blessed 🙏🏽, Aloha Kenneth 🤙🏽
@@SinisterClutch thank you, just hit 30000 on my 2020 RoadGlide, flushed my brake lines, feel confident now to do my clutch, liked & subscribed, look forward to all your content 💪🏼🤘🏽
My bike came with screaming eagle cone air filter, Vance and Hines long shots. I’m taking the filter off and putting this one on. It sounds great now, I’m hoping it doesn’t need a tune
this is my back yard. I recently took a trip to the Smoky Mt. area. THAT is motorcycle Disneyland. I thought it might ruin the home turf for me, but I think I appreciate it more now. Not everyone has these roads available on a whim.
@SinisterClutch I hope so. I'm already into the cussing stage. I'm getting a steady drain on my battery I'm suspecting that something is not shutting down in the switch because it was installed wrong.
I replaced the key fob batteries and replaced the security antenna. I followed the steps in your video but the bike is still asking for the PIN to start the bike. Any other suggestions I might need to do?
I appreciate your video! I just changed my fuel filter on my Road King at 25,000 miles this weekend. I used the same locking tool to take that tank lock ring off and on and it was worth the $30 investment. If anyone tries to do this yourself, a second person may be helpful to push the locking pin back into the filter container while the other person pushes down on the container itself. An extra set of hands were needed for my job. My son came over to help me out and he pushed the pin back in while I held everything together down tight. Keep that in mind if you decide to do this in the future.
Yeah I agree. Unfortunately I had to take my time and hold it down just right. It is a pain by yourself. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care and enjoy the ride🤙✌️
@@SinisterClutch thankyou . South Florida kicks up a lot rain storms. Lol I’ll probably ceramic coat it when I get like the rest of the bike. I appreciate the quick response.
My antenna was not where it was supposed to be and found an unplugged connector. put everything back and all works once again, you saved my ass. Thank you!
@@SinisterClutch ok , thanks for the reply , we got it working now, works with turn key on and press turn signals once, put in factory default code, 31313, success ! but wasn't kickin fuel pump on, no power at fuel pump fuse, found a bad relay
HD has quite a few problems that they won’t address such as the fork lock assembly getting out of alignment, preventing the operator from unlocking the steering mechanism. A dealership will more than likely say it’s the owners fault. It’s an ongoing issue that has no real fix other than buying and installing a new lock assembly from HD. An alignment tool is handy, but after a while the problem will just get worse and you may end up not being able to get the lock stem out at all and that’s a real problem if you’re out and about and don’t carry tools with you.
Great info sir! HD never wants to admit to faulty designs and yes you always have to have tools with you but in this case you’re definitely screwed if you’re out on a ride.
There were likely out buildings where some of the male kids slept. They would have had work animals/barn/etc. It is a spread of land; those buildings likely disappeared many decades ago. Also w/so many kids, some would have had cabins of their own--not living w/them anymore, w/families of their own. Since the Boone's traveled as a pack, they probably lived in the vicinity, too. So much of this kind of history gets lost in translation. It was a great tour, beautiful land. Thanks for sharing with us!! Stay safe out there on those gravel roads. Blessings.
Yeah I think you are right. The history does get lost in translation. Like trying to put a puzzle together with missing pieces. Thank you so much for watching ✌️

I have done as Randy showed, however now I have no clutch at all. It has been suggested that I have a air bubble in the line and I need to push up from the bleeder valve to get the air out. So how much fluid should I use? has anyone else done from bottom to top?
Strange you don't have a clutch. I've done this twice on my bike with no issues. You can use a Syringe to push the brake fluid up to the master cylinder. Look for a 100ML one that you should be able to find on Amazon. amzn.to/4dhmXsf Also I want to ask did you remove the bleeder tube from the bleeder valve before you were done? Meaning before you closed the bleeder valve?
