This youtube channel will bring you the latest reviews and step-by-step upgrades to my Road Glide and Street Glide as well as the chance to learn from my mistakes. It's a learning process for me but I love to wrench on these bikes. My goal is to produce videos that haven't been done in order to help bikers of all skill levels make changes to their Harleys.
I'd rather ride in the cold over the heat but it's going to be rough when you hit Prudhoe Bay. I was planning to get there on July 5th and the weather called for 36 degrees and a 60% chance of snow.
I have a new video coming out each week which will detail the trip. I’m also going to do a video on the prep and best routes after it’s all over. I’m always available for questions as well.
@@aradsc as much as I love my street glide, this bike out performed all of my expectations. It kept me up at least 4 or 5 times where I would’ve spilled out on my glide.
You had them mounted incorrectly. The bracket was flipped around. The way you had them mounted, the fans were too far away from the heads. If you had the bracket on correctly. they would have been mounted up against the heads where they are supposed to go. Don't blame the manufacturer when you've not mounted them properly.
You’re taking a gun across the border? I have a suggestion for the seat. I had the same issue about a week into our trip. I used an inflatable donut between 2 sheep skins. Duct tape it to the bottom of the top sheepskin and it’s amazing. Thank me later.
Good news is you’re not going to need half of that gear. And hope you are carrying a sidearm because a gun buried in that saddle bag isn’t going to help. Ride safe ✌️
Had the same thought about the gun being in the bag. I'd also have kept that my little secret from the youtube world just for the possibility of someone following your GPS location and knowing where to steal it.
wait i'm confused, dont you have water cooled heads on that bike? your oil temp is 200 and your heads can safely go to 400 so i'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. riding the bike will cool the heads - dont know many people that idle for really long like 20-30 mins. You can JIMS Forceflow fan, supposedly much better than lovejugs - if you want to cool the heads but that'll give you only minus 10-15 degrees at best. Also harleys have EITMS mode which stops the rear cylinder from igniting and turns it to an air pump while you're idling. Be thankful that you have a watercooled bike, because us who do not are really suffering.
Good Luck Ron... I'm going to be following close. A few retired Chiefs and myself will be doing this very same thing this time next year. We will do some of the BDR stuff coming back also. Ride Safe!
@@RealRonTV I never said that, and for the record I don’t know who I’m voting for so I’m not here the judge. But one of the great things about riding is it’s an equalizer. You’re wearing a political shirt and you mention Biden verbally soon into the video. Just a preview of what’s likely to come on your channel, and nobody who’s looking for riding and adventure videos wants to think about that. Good luck on your trip. Ride safe.
@@bpowell1014well for the record I mentioned your president one time as being old. That’s it. No political statement other than my shirt. If that offends you then I’m sorry. Otherwise ride safe and vote for whomever you want.
@@RealRonTV hahaha. He’s not my president either. One final thought…you’re going to create an awesome series and hopefully it will grow in views over time. 2 years from now people are going to see or hear the political stuff in it and be like wow this series is old. You’re going to date yourself and people might not be interested. Just a thought. I think I’m going to subscribe. I’ll give you feedback as you go along 😂
You should feed the bolts from the inside so you dont have those long studs ripping up your stuff while you ride, other than that good idea. Was looking at this while you were mounting it and thinking if you went solo seat or raised it a little you could mount box sideways moving the weight forward and you could mount a pad to it for a back rest. Weight being right over back tire like a passenger is definitely a better way to carry gear but if your bringing a friend or looking for some on the way forget about this idea.
