Crazy to think about that when I first saw this at 14 and was watching tons of roided out bodybuilders I thought this was not that big but now after seeing this again after years of not watching fitness stuff I realize just how good of a fizeek that is even if he was on steroids. RU-vid fitness really messes up your perspective on what is an impressive build and what isn't

Appreciate your philosophical reasoning and love how self aware you are man. We're inundated with opportunity and possibilities both literally and hypothetically like you said. And not acting on it straight away feels like some weird loss or something... I can definitely relate... enter existential crisis... 🧘♂😂
Hey bro, been in one of the roughest patches post uni, just want to say thank you. Talking to others hasn’t really helped too much, because it just doesn’t feel productive or like it’s gonna do anything for my situation. I’ve been at the gym bout 2hrs just binge listening to these old uplifting videos and this has been the only thing that has genuinely made me feel like I’m coming out okay. Big ups
Good on you Joe, thanks for sharing your story. Your story resonates with a lot of people considering the era we live in where there is this perception that everything in our life needs to be optimised. And in many ways, we can be grateful for the information that is available to us to improve our lives. But to your point, to what extend do we keep improving? Personally I'm not convinced that trying less is the answer based on your story. After explaining the optimisation paradox you share with us that you would like to have a million subscribers, get in better shape and make a sh*t load of money. Is trying less really something you are looking for in life? Instead of trying less, is there another way to overcome the optimisation paradox? Can we beat the optimisation paradox by, instead of setting goals for ourselves and trying to optimise every area of our life, we focus on improving the quality of our relationships with friends, family and partner? Can we beat the optimisation paradox by exploring our spirituality and as a result live meaningful lives? And don't get me wrong, I'm not in the business of fuming at RU-vid videos, I'm just another bloke trying to overcome the same challenges. Keep up the good work mate and I hope you can find true happiness and success along your journey.
doing this at the moment (full body)... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R6gZoAzAhCg.htmlsi=1UYyiGCtk_srkMtt&t=727 training every 2 days. how should I train more often?
I just squat and deadlift super light - up to 60kg but try to move the weight as fast as possible on eccentric and focus on perfect form and switch between singles and doubles like in Oly lifting or sometimes do volume.
I’m at 12% and still have a tiny shelf in my lower stomach. Top 4 slightly visible without flexing. Working to get to 9%. I think this also comes down to visceral fat and burning that off first. I look at it like shedding years of food abuse. It should be a bit more straight forward next time I bulk and drop.
For the overnight oats, you can swap out the normal peanut butter for PB2 and it will cut down on the calories, add on to the protein intake, and allow you to use more peanut butter for a third of the normal calories within them. :)
This is incredibly good. I want @JoeDelaneyy to know I found this presentation extremely profound, but also very well communicated. This is a rare combo! I got a lot out of it, thank you!
Damn, you really got a lot of lazy people feeling better about themselves with this video 😂 don’t take this message wrong, its not about doing less or more, its not about settling for something easy because its easy. Its about being okay with what you have and not striving for move by default, but by choice. Its your life, if you want to do something with it but are not doing it because its easier to lay on the couch then this is NOT for you 😂
You NEVER hear this perspective. Most people don't go to the extremes that professionals do, so it is encouraging to hear that losing very minimal muscle mass while getting out of obesity IS possible. Thanks.
weighing yourself every day creates psychological issues for many individuals, particularly because one's weight fluctuates consistently. You really should let your viewers know this given the obsession that it can create for many individuals. Otherwise, this aspect of routine is excellent some of these habits are unrealistic for a good population of people. Lastly, the notion of "cheating" is crazy stupid! If you're constantly giving certain foods a negative connection will psychologically fuck with people.
Used to watch Joe years ago at the start of my fitness journey. Glad to see him still putting out awesome thought provoking thought streams and also great to see him still with the same bird! Top man 👍
Should you factor in the calories you burn while lifting into your maintenance calories and subsequent deficit? Maintenance doesn’t include those weightlifting calories, right?
I have some pretty dogwater genetics, I gained 25lbs of lean mass over 4 years naturally. Sounds great until I tell you I went from 100 lbs lean to 125lbs even leaner and then hit my genetic limit lol. After that I just started gaining fat and got gyno. Very sad to see and I'm starting to get skin lesions so I might have to see if there is something wrong with me.
I knew a buddy of mine was genetically gifted when he got shredded in 9 months, but he had signs before it. We work for the same entity and we get drug tested normally, so PEDs are out of the question. He was the elementary school bully because he was stronger than most of us (he didn't mean to bully people, he just had a bully type of personality towards his friends. He was nice to people he wasn't familiar with). Second, I was in track and field and he was overweight with less/almost no running experience, but he was running faster than me. 3rd, he was 5 foot 7, overweight, and was able to touch the basketball rim without playing sports or working out. This is something taller people have train to do and he did it like it was nothing.
Come on, guys! It’s that simple! Be on a calorie deficit! You burn more calories than you consume! Stick to a certain protein, and go with that for the rest of day along with regular exercise! You’ll see your results less than a month! And If that doesn’t work, do weight training on top of that! You’ll see!
Careful with doing that. cholesterol and fat are needed to enhance male performance in the bedroom. Cholesterol and fat make the magic happen when you need it too.
