The MightyMKL channel was created for people who are passionate about aviation. In particular aviation as seen by an aviator who is passionate about aviation himself!
As a pilot on the Boeing 737-700 and -800 I love to share some of the most beautiful moments in my career. A unique look behind the scenes. As passengers are only able to look through the side windows, I like to share my view from the front of the aircraft, not only for the passengers but also for all people passionate about aviation!

A word of Safety: Safety is never compromised when recording videos!
thanks for the great video, as I live just outside of Barcelona ( a small town called Palleja not far from Montserrat). I have a question for those who are more knowledgeable than myself. Why does it appear that the pilots manipulate the yoke immediately before landing? Are those manual inputs, and if so, could they impact the landing itself? Thank you in advance
You should have been here Sunday morning. Arriving 6L with the biggest thunderstorm I have seen in a LONG time right off the end of the runway. REDYELOW painted all over the radar and any miss would have gone straight into it. Well, if we go right, that is right over top of the other runway and left is worse weather...much fun after 10+ hours to get here!
Always enjoying your approaches captain. So what is the plan from now on? Will you be filming in the cockpit but with different camera mounts? Or the suction cup ban means the end of footage from you? I really hope not the latter, as it will be very sad.
For the Boeing I have found a new solution. But as stable as with a suction cup it won't be. My biggest problem at the moment is to find time to edit. So... there will be new material. I still have some material recorded prior the suction cup ban. Furthermore I will get the transition from the Boeing to the Airbus in the beginning of next year. Then I'll have to find a new way to continue with what I am doing (or have done). Many thanks for your support and your comment.
really love your videos since you started on youtube , a reference for me ! thankyou for all your content, answer my questions, i really want to see some tutorials, or vlogs but doesent mind you are the best 737 pilot youtuber
This was done because of a wind gust just prior landing and to make sure to touchdown at the right speed. Thanks for asking. Hope this clarifies your question.
Beautiful clouds......Cheeeeeck. World class professionalism.......Cheeeeeck. Stunning landing......Cheeeeeck.
@@imana3808 i think you're right. See a sign on the nose that should say UPS. And Lufthansa is more gray on the bottom . Tnx for the correction, we can learn every day😀
Thanks for another amazing MightyMKL flight video Captain - really appreciate the skill of you and your First Officer with that silky smooth crosswind landing. Cheeeeeck✈️
I always tend to fly the aircraft manually early to really “feel” the aircraft. With these conditions it was not even allowed to make a automatic landing. The decision of when to disconnect the autopilot lies with the pilot flying. Thanks for asking! 👍🏻
Coming from Iceland, I live in a town called Husavik, some 50km east of Akureyri and a frequent flier from Akureyri Airport. It´s a beautiful approach and very scenic in good conditions. This airport is notoriously hazardous in strong winter weathers and sudden downdrafts caused by these mountains, mainly from approach from the south. I´ve been in very strong turbulence in old Fokker 50 planes and Jetstream 32 planes landing there and that is a RIDE :D When was this taken? I would guess during early spring (march/april) guessing by the snow?
Captain MKL thank you for another stunning video - I always try to book early morning flights like this one to enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Hoping to fly onboard with you one day when you are PIC.
Me again after 3 years😅 Flown many times into Kalamata for holidays in Gialova, Pylos. I think ever time except once, we have weaved through the mountains and then over flown the airport before turning and landing from the south.
