Do they go completely out when the brake isn't being depressed? If so that's not quite ideal...they're supposed to be on but dimmer for, "running light" and when you press the brake they're supposed to get brighter. You can look it up in the VC but I'm pretty sure that's how it's supposed to work. Anyhow, it inspired some thoughts as I have a mid-height rack coming and operational 3rd tail light is the law...
This looks really clean! I leveraged the power from the trailer connection and ended buying the 3rd brake light at Auto Zone. I would like to clean up my work and get the Baja Designs red rock lights. Could you share the part number? Also, I'm guessing you used T taps for 14 gauge wire? EDIT: I found the part number.
Last question, what type of butt connectors did you use to connect the three lights to the power and ground wires? I'm trying to source step down butt connectors but I can't seem to find them.
