OnionSkin is an ongoing project dedicated to all things animation, currently with an extra focus on Toon Boom and those who have previously had experience using Flash and are seeking an alternative
I just want a simple mask so I can paint a floor and 2 walls separately in toon boom but all of this is so confusing... I'll paint my backgrounds in fresco or photoshop instead. Easier to learn and better brushes. But it's still frustrating how confusing this is in toon boom.
Absolutely fantastic class! I haven't watched the entire video yet, but wanted to leave a comment before I forget. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge in such a clear and fun way.
Hi, great tutorial, how did you make the sphere planet face with asteroids orbiting it, did you use NUDGING? so that planet is between foreground and background, thanks
Came across this by chance. I did this method for my anime work recently. Cacani does a good job using essentially shape tweens for line work but the program lacks some key transforming tools so it can be tedious. So for my latest project, which you can see posted on my channel, I opted to create a rig for the full body shot and tween and mask certain parts using shapes in animate cc. This also included the shadows. You can achieve traditional work by being smart in how you optimize the workflow.
Some people have mentioned the shockwave Saitama makes from the punch actually starts a a few metres behind Saitama, which has been explained by the fact that Saitama actually dashed backwards, punched, then dashed in front of his own punch shockwave so Genos wouldn’t get hurt, hence why Genos is fine even though the mountains behind him were completely deleted.
