If you would like to lower blood pressure and heart rate naturally, without medications, you will definitely learn new practical tips from our videos.

I am Dmitri, computer science PhD and health enthusiast. I used to suffer from anxiety and high blood pressure and fixed both conditions with calming exercises (slow breathing, meditation, yoga), easy aerobic exercises and short HIIT. Our team includes a PhD in cardiology who follows on the most advanced heart health research and helps us to compress main points to short practical videos.

We built the BreathNow mobile app so users can perform our exercises off-line and easily track their progress with lowering heart rate and blood pressure. We cooperate with the scientists from the University of Cambridge in the UK. We built together several heart health tests for BreathNow.

So, how many cycles of inhale and exhale does one have to do? Each is 8 seconds? I have an app that one can use to adjust inhale and exhale length-Respirelax. It is French, but this video can be matched with Respirelax. How many cycles, please?

I can fully breathe in for the time given. But i cannot breathe out for the whole time. I feel like i have not got enough in me. I can only breathe out as long as the breathe in. Is that a problem? I have been really worried about this!

Generally speaking, slower & deeper breathing pattern (both inhales and exhales) are a sign of a healthier body. Obviously there are many nuances there which are better to discuss with your doctor. I would recommend to start from popular breathing exercises like 4 sec inhale and 6 sec exhale and develop from there. 140/85 is not a hight blood pressure really, that is my normal functional BP daily. If it's lower I feel slow and tired, so it's not for everyone. I think we should concern when it goes up to 180/90 or 190/100 Burt I can't see any solution for that here. Otherwise is such a great CH.

I'm tailoring the app to my preferences on my iPhone 15. The phone's Dynamic Island is interfering with my ability to check-off the "Breathing exercises" option at the top of the screen. As such, I can't get beyond this point. Is there a workaround?

Thank you. My blood pressure dropped from 165//98 to 160/94 in the first five minutes. I did the three exercises again and in five more minutes it dropped to `144/88. After 15 more minutes my blood pressure is 123/72 and my toes and fingers are warm with the increased circulation. Thank you again...

I’ve been doing this breathing exercise for a number of weeks now. I do 478 for the three minutes and then take my blood pressure. I do the same thing in the evening. I login my reading twice a day. I’m becoming concerned now because it’s nearly always normal. However if I skip the breathing exercise, my blood pressure is much much higher. So my concern is that it is only a short, temporary lowering of my blood pressure. Which means it’s probably high all the time except three minutes before I take a reading twice a day.

Thanks for your feedback. Usually breathing exercises produce short term positive effect. For long term effect you need to complement breathing with moderate aerobic exercises (brisk walking, jogging, etc), as explained in other videos on our channel

@@BreathNow_app I walk 4 miles a day and do 30 minutes of cardio every other day. I’m on a low sugar low-carb diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I use. beet powder, ground flaxseed and supplements that are recommended for high blood pressure, and have no vitamin or mineral deficiencies, according to my last complete profile. It’s frustrating.
