As someone who had gritted their teeth every time someone called Tyson Fury the greatest heavyweight of all time before this fight, i'm happy to hear a substantiated take from someone that had..probably.. done the same. I'm not going crazy yet after all. Aside from that, I only discovered the channel after the fight and you've hit the nail on the head on many points! Down to his cut opening up. Incredible take!
Just want everybody to know I’m pissed about the promoters and others lieing about Fury winning the first six rds if they actually believe that they ought to get out of the sport
He'd almost lost against a novice and had a recently healed cut. The betting odds were not really favoring him considering his weight and reach advantages. No great stretch to predict he'd lose.
Many if not most of Fury’s contact with his gloves with Usyk were pushes, posts and grabs, not punches. Many boxing fans tend to see this as scoring but it isn’t.
These are the best film studies on RU-vid. I was always happy fouts was such a whiny idiot because it means no one takes him seriously and the knowledge is safe. Its genuinley worrying a charismatic person that can explain stuff properly now has this knowledge and is posting film studies. As a fighter that genuinley worries me. My film study requests if you ever do more is Jaron Ennis, David Benavidez, Marvin Hagler and sugar ray leonard. I would love to see you do videos on them. These people watching are very unaware of the absolute gems in your content
Thanks, mate. To give credit where it's due, I remember Fouts killing it back in the day. I remember watching his Kovalev-Ward series back in 2017 and I think it's fair to say he revived the YT boxing film study craze. I appreciate that you see value in my videos as I think all of us content creators can add a perspective that is uniquely our own. I can defo get around to doing more, so I welcome any requests. Additionally, I'm open to training film studies if you ever wanted to send some of your training vids over 👍
I've coached boxing for the past 8 years but essentially as a freelancer with no dedicated base of operation but who knows what the future may hold! Thanks for the kind words.
@@TheTBCNinjas2 I know how old he is hes 37, my point was someone commenting saying hes to old to fight like he used to do now even though he fought on Saturday night and was as good as hes ever looked...basically hes not too old
Close fight but right man defo won and good for boxing. Would love aj vs fury next for right for usky rematch. Usky fight ibf mandatory and can go for 2 time undisputed again winner aj Fury...if against aj will give him more motivation and if Fury win he will have more confidence... first cant stand Fury but the best against the best is what want to see
You said the fight was close, let me correct you that’s not true. Usyk won 8-4 please re-watch fights and score properly before making brash and impulsive scorecards. I am a amateur boxer with 55 bouts, 45 by way of wins. Being a boxing coach does not qualify you to score and fight let alone judge a fighter
No he didn't, your opinion means naff all pal, all 3 judges agreed on 8/12 rounds and at least 2 of the judges gave fury 2,4,5,6,7 and 12, stop talking rubbish like your opinion means anything! This is not amateur boxing its not scored the same
Nonsense I did rewatch it and scored it 114 to 113 in favour of Usyk. Round 9 being the deciding point loss for Fury. You boys need to rewatch it without your "Ukrainian rose" tinted glasses on.😅😂😅
Absolutely loved this analysis, Outmatch! Would love to see more, a lot of the finer details of the fight were lost if you don’t have the eyes and knowledge to catch everything both men are doing!
Usyk is and always was the better fighter. There is a reason Fury ducked Usyk for 2 years. People need to have a hard look at Fury's record post Klitschko and his antics in avoiding the top guys. He and Wilder conned the division for YEARS. Fury is a top heavyweight and his story and come back is amazing but best of all time claims was absurd . He was never the best of his own era let alone all time. I always thought Joshua would beat him but again he managed to duck him too for YEARS. I also think Klitschko may have ironed him out in the rematch but again he ducked it. Styles make fights and if Fury faced more of the top 10 he would have lost before Usyk 💯
I am not disagreeing that Fury tried to avoid Usyk but many great fighters in the past have tried to avoid fights. I do also believe Fury has confidence issues. It still doesn't change the the fact that the fight happened, Fury took it seriously and gave a good account of himself. Undisputed should have happened in 2018 but Wilder and Joshua avoided eachother and it took who?...to come and dethrone Wilder when everyone was petrified. The same people shitting on Fury now saying he was never any good or as good as people say are the same that predicted him to lose most of his fights lol. It's good to have context and give respect where its due and when it was earned. I remember those nights when Fury beat Wilder when the haters were adament that Wilder was gonna knock him out in th rematches, even Whyte was supposed to have beaten him. Lol
Not soppy, no. Integrity, rectitude, sincerity - still things that matter even if seemingly out of fashion these days (odd given that we live in an age of self-righteousness). But North is still North, and I’m glad you felt a duty to point it out.
Fury has been skating on thin ice for literally YEARS. He’s been decked by almost everyone- and yes he’s always got up- but the DECKABILITY is nothing to be proud of! It just means you’re easy enough to knock down. He’s also had split decisions, he’s the ‘LONG COUNT KING’ and he’s been gifted wins like the macdermott robbery. He’s had illegal stuff like the Cunningham forearm in the face IGNORED etc etc this defeat was coming for years.
It’s great NOT to have the fan boys talking UTTER SHITE about Fury now. He was obliterated in that 9th round and they fucking know it. The whole WORLD knows it.
Usyk speaks just a little English but connects with people... You could imagine having a coffee with the fella and a normal conversation even a good laugh. Fury on the other hand not so much. What a role model Usyk is. Yip I was a fan and picked him to win because regardless of anything else he deserves it. It was a great fight but not close. Usyk will always give up rounds just to drown his opponent... No easy rounds when you fight him.. Even if you win rounds it comes with a price. Its going to take some cardio machine to beat Usyk or a KO. So the cardio thing ha ha ha no one has that over him even at his age so you are left chasing a KO. Well done Usyk you deserve all the very best.
Yes I agree. I was a Fury fan. He could have been good for boxing, but he chose to be a cherry picker. Usyk is more likely to behave like a true champion, in my opinion. Though he is 37 now I hope he tries to go on a run and make as many defenses as he can while he is young enough. I hope he gets the opportunity to beat up on the cheese champion the IBF is going to appoint soon, and get his belt back.
im british and a former boxer and hes not my champ my champ was dubois who beat usyk , fury will be back and nextime wipe the floor with this cheating muppet from usa,s ukraine.
Very well said! Not soppy at all! Our kids need to be influenced by good strong people in this crazy world! Theres too many devils and not enough angels!
