Jermall Charlo will not try his best against Canelo. There’s a pattern with some of Canelo’s past opponents where they just don’t try enough in the ring. Callum Smith and Jermell Charlo. U do have to ponder if some of Canelo’s opponents get that phone call from his team before the fight to ensure they don’t try against Canelo Alvarez.
People are calling for the Benavidez fight. That will happen. Why can't Canelo fight a future hall of famer in Jermall Charlo? It's more compelling than watching him against Ryder, Plant, Yilidirim. He was only out for 2 years prior to his tuneup. It's not like the old days where they fought once a month, they all fight rarely anyway. 2 years of doping without being drugs tested. Charlo has had his tune up fight so he'll come in sharp. This is going to be good for his resume, and he is going to fight for a lot longer. Charlo is better than Munguia. He will fight them both. He has proven himself in the sport.
Will it though? I can’t tell if you’re being serious, facts are charlo has never fought at 168 and has fought once in pretty much three years, his opponent was also a blown up welterweight. John Ryder had at least got himself in a position to become a mandatory challenger and Caleb plant was a Geniune world champion who most consider a top 5 fighter at 168. If Canelo wants to be the undisputed champion I emphasise undisputed, why isn’t he being ordered to face the ranked contenders such as benavidez, morell and even mungia ? If he’s claiming to be the top dog why doesn’t he just fight those guys and beat them ? If he’s just wanting money fights then give up the belts.
@@jackmichie5304 Jermall Charlo looked very good in his last fight a few months ago. He's definitely ready. Jermall is a future hall of famer and has a following. He deserves a fight for that alone. He's also very big. Canelo is a natural middleweight 160-168 type of size, as is Jermall. We saw how big Jermell looked in the ring with Canelo. Ranked contenders is a ruse. It's boxing. We want to see big names fight eachother, he want to see the best fight the best. Which is why some people would even be excited by a 147 Crawford jumping up 3 weight classes to fight Canelo. Canelo is at the stage of his career where he can do what he wants as he's fought all kinds of risky, great fighters. He is the only boxer doing superstar PPV numbers in the entire sport.
Canelo at this stage of his career will cherry pick his opponents with extreme care. Sadly I don't think we will see the benavidez fight or neither mungiea fight or terrence Crawford fight.
