I got started here all the way back in 2007 making videos of stereo systems. Then I took a very long hiatus and decided to make RU-vid a thing in 2019. We will see where this goes!

Just for clarity, a twin turbo is an engine that has two turbos and a twin-charged engine is a supercharged and turbocharged engine, right? I don't know much about engines 😂
Any updates on this? Is it still possible to be supercharged and turbo charged? I was watching a video on HorsePower Obsessed when he went to the Corvette Museum Birthday Bash ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lWJziLJnLqw.html and @ 18:41 a guy said he spoke to one of the engineers, and the engineer said that the engine can't be a flat plane crank because it can't be turbocharged due to it being unreliable, and that it might be a cross-plane. But now I also watched a video on Throttle House saying that, if I remember correctly, it is a flat plane crank twin turbo charged engine. So I'm curious how to reconcile all this information. The engineer said that it wouldn't be a turbo charged flat plane crank, but now it seems it is indeed a turbo charged flat plane crank... so I'm confused lol
The car and engine has already been revealed and will have a twin turbo flat plane crank. No supercharger. My video was just speculation that it “could” happen. It was wrong, of course, and that’s ok ☺️

Congrats on the GTD allocation! I too got a GTD allocation just notified early Friday morning. Like you I am still in shock. For me it is not even a question GTD vs ZR1. I am quite surprised by how many very small RU-vid channels rec'd allocations. Quite impressed with the GTD Team actually and I could not be more honored giving me the opportunity.
I was allocated one and I’m going to have to sell off several cars to cover the cost. That being said, the exclusivity of the GTD outweighs all my other cars. Same thing is true for a Zr1. We are getting a GTD at msrp. Limited production and having to be approved by ford to get one will only make the price appreciate
Yes that’s an important part of this. I’m in line for a ZR1, but with the way GM is not controlling allocations like Ford, the dealers know they can do whatever they want to screw their buyers at the last moment. A surprise $50k over msrp could happen, then they will depreciate back to earth quickly. Where the GTD is controlled and limited. Likely will go up in value over time
Take the GTD and worry about the zr1 later. They will make the zr1 for a few years so plenty of time. GTD will most likely be a collectors car with increased value long term. Congratulations!
That’s kinda what I’m thinking. I’d have to see how long I can go without a corvette. Can’t have both unless I win the lottery and also get a massive garage 😅
If you don't take it, will that hurt your chances down the line if you are on the wait list for another car? I would think they won't keep offer allocations to people who won't take them. I'd say if you can swing it comfortably and you are confident it will go up in value, then do it. It's an investment, not an expense.
@@SupercarRanch I think if they go electric it would be a shame. All the electrics are basically going to be the same at some point. Not much character with them.
Never knew the story about the Ford GT allocation. Love that you can celebrate your father's legacy with the Ford GT anytime you drive it. As far as the GTD vs ZR1, I think the ZR1 serves the spot of your ZO6 in the supercar feel. Whereas the Ford GT is that racecar/track feel which a GTD may make you feel like you're 'all racecar' now. But I think either one will look badass in the garage. Congrats on the allocation news.
OMG ... As already mentioned in other comments I spent 3 hours trying to figure out the issue, reading iMovie manual, deleting old events thinking it was the problem, then I did what you said and "DONE" ... my video was explored successfully ! Thanks a bunch for sharing it! 🤗🙏🏻

Probably true on the price. I honestly don’t think this would happen for real either, just seems too far out there. But with all this evidence, there’s a crazy chance it could happen
The 06 is the sickest car hands down against basically anything for looks, sound, badassness. The ZO6 is an American Ferrari . On my list of must have.
The calipers look awesome. I love the rapid blue with the bronze wheels, blk interior. This gen looks so good in all the colors. It's just a matter of how wild you want it to look. What a car. Well done.
Thank you. I agree. On my prior C8s I didn’t get painted calipers cause I kept telling myself I’d go it myself to cheaper. Then I never did it. So I just got it for the factory this time. Was a good decision
