Can't compete with Lexus luxury and reliability. Who cares about that extra 80 miles for those of us doing daily short drives. Y'all forget to mention that Lexus offers the Reserve program where you can borrow a loaner car from your selling dealer for free to take that long trip you might want to take to Vegas, Arizona, Washington. It doesn't matter, you get 30 days to use in the first 3 years. That's what I do whenever I go to Vegas, no anxiety for me. And, I usually take a hybrid which can give me 33mpg on the new RX hybrid model, 39mpg on the NX model or 45mpg on the ES model 👍
Front engine cars are slow off the line and around corners due to fromt weight distribution. Chevy learned this lesson upgraded to a mid-engine supercar layout. In addition to being lighter with significantly more torque (especially low-end), these two really aren't even in the aame class. The bmw is more comparable to the older c7 stingray vette without the magnetic suspension
4.31 lbs/hp vs 6.02 lbs/hp - I'm sorry, but I could predict the winner of this race before it even started. AWD helps, but on dry pavement not enough to overcome that deficit...
I recently bought a 2024 Tahoe RST (didn’t have a Z71 available). I traded in my 2022 4Runner for it. I really like the Sequoia, but the Tahoe is bigger and I prefer the naturally aspirated V8. I think it’s more than capable to get families to their camping site and more. Less than 1% of sequoia owners are climbing steep hills or rock climbing with it. You’re paying the “Toyota tax” too on it. I’ve owned 2 5th gen 4Runners so I like Toyota, but I won’t pretend they are gods in auto manufacturing. They used to do powertrains really well - jury is still out on the new hybrid setups in their trucks and SUVs.
I am a retired semi truck Driver and I am from the old school way of backing up any kind of trailer I don't want any electronic device helping me to back up any trailer just an added extra expense that over time can and will break down and need to be worked on no thanks
Cybertruck is perfect for American market where people buy a truck not to use it like a truck just to get to work and back . Also a lot of people buy any car for look at this feeling . Prices will eventually come down like with every other Tesla .
PHEV to me is just a giant PITA. I don't mind putting gas in an ICE vehicle. I dont mind charging and EV. I sure as heck dont want to deal with doing both in order to to come close to the rated efficiency numbers. In which case a regular hybrid that requires nothing more than filling up with gas is the best choice in my book. Things like the Camry, Prius, and even new Civic can get 50mpg (even more in real world tests) with ease all without the hassle of plugging in and filling up.
I view it more like being able to own 2 cars at once. Most days, I don't drive more than 25 miles. I'd rarely use the gas engine and basically have an EV. When I need to travel long distances, I get most of the efficiency of a regular hybrid, plus the ability to get a few extra EV miles when I stop.
I have a 2018 Ford Expedition and so far I’m not super impressed with it. The 10 speed transmission has had issues and my mechanic said he works on the transmissions a lot.
I think I know which one I would get. You should do a door ding test in a Walmart parking lot for me to be sure though. I have a feeling two of them will be loosing some paint.
After test driving the Cadillac XT6 and the TX the Cadillac made the TX feel like a Kia. The V6 and transmission in the Cadillac are smooth and has almost a similar reliable score from CR and has won JD power. This Lexus is just a rebadged Toyota as is the Cadillac with Chevy but at least Cadillac didn’t make it noticeable at all.
This is a joke, right? Both of these cars were not designed for performance and ripping through racetracks, and the consumers who are considering to buy one don't care either.
@@theburnoutshot2669 it is not a joke, the joke is compare a car with a V6 with another one in a 4 cylinders. Also the one with the 4 cylinders is 10k more expensive, just because it Lexus and a lot of brand fans believe it will last forever. The people with the money can buy a car for any reason but in my case I won't pay 60k for a car than another one less expensive can overtake me with no effort .
EVERY performance vehicle I've ever owned had a practical; cruising range of 220 miles or so My C7 Z06 gets 12 MPG around town (One the highway, I do get 24 in Eco), carrying 18 gallons, do the math. The Rivian Quad and the Tesla Cybertruck are effectively performance trucks , that are as quick, or quicker, than my Z06 And can get you 100 miles more than a performance gas vehicle, and carry people in back, and have a bed
I'm def Interested in the hatchback version, but if it's the same trim customization as the current 2024 civic, I'm not gonna be a fan if the only interior color option is black. That's murder in the summer, even in the PNW.
I don’t understand why do we want a little electrification? We have had electric cars for the mass for over 10 years. Come on people, we all need to do better. And the media needs to do better too!!
