Kinda lame that you are able to cf the fimble winter now, but on the other hand Hermies is a lot weaker now since they reduced the cf duration. centaur are super slow and have a less powerfull special as well.
From all ive been watching greeks just seem to have benefitted way better from the overall changes and favor changes compared to other civs. They've always been all around very strong but this just seems to have pushed them even further. Def needs some nerfs on god powers.
I think Grandmonster did great until he decided to go early for Fimbulwinter, which was obviously obliterated by cease fire. Maybe he didn't knew it but for me going for either Ragnarok or Fimbulwinter is not the play vs Zeus. Even in the OG Version Zeus always played on the Thunderstorm, which is now even stronger but i think best would be: Stay in Age 3 get more armory ups, take good fights, more frost giants, do as much damage as possible in Age 3 and let Zeus get into defense, maybe catch a Town Center, put more pressure on in Age 3. Then be prepared for the Thunderstorm because there will be a moment when Zeus destroys your army. For that you need a lot of buildings to reproduce an army quickly, you can do that because you safed the resources from not going to Age 4. When the moment is right finish Zeus with Fimbulwinter or Ragnarok much later. If Zeus uses LS in defense he also can't destroy your buildings since that's an op thing rn, of course need to be changed.
Thor fan boys salty and claim zeus and lighting storm op. It's supposed to mess up an army. That's the whole purpose of the God power. Now if thor had won these people in the comments wouldn't be talking lol

Thor's dwarves receive a 25% bonus to Food and wood collection rate. Considering Dwarves have normally a 20% malus in collecting food and wood, it makes them even slightly better at the job than regular gatherers. The big downside about dwarves is that they cost gold instead of food, so it's not very efficient to mass them up either way, just that Thor's dwarves still have use even after all gold mines have run out.
Maybe I understand how it works wrong, but assuming they still have the 20% rate loss to villagers, increasing it afterwards by 25% just makes them on pair with regular villagers.
Zeus has always been OP. His kit is simply too good. The Greeks have always been all around great. Their only notable weakness was having small number of heroes. But that wasn’t a big concern because their heroes were also super strong. Zeus is even more OP thanks to his Hoplite bonus damage against buildings. This made his early game amazing. His late game is great too because of Myrmidons (literally do understand why this unit exists…) and his access to both Hera and Hephaestus.

Looks to me that lightning storm and the manticores need a nerf, but IamMagic won so what do I know? Bit ridiculous the lightning storm can easily kill the Son of Osiris (and the entire army he was with), they are both final age god powers one is unit based and the other is AoE damage. The Aoe Damage power should not be able to one shot the single unit power.
@@Yodesla That you can win from completely losing positions, on multiple occasions. Obviously godpowers are a power spike, but the question is how much. You wouldn't give Flaming Weapons 1000% damage buff, it was decided around 100% was reasonable. I played a game where I was 200 pop with a SoO and it killed my whole army, SoO and a migold. What other god power can do such a thing with no trade off? You don't have to commit an army to a fight like Bronze/Flaming weapons or resto, you dont have to commit your whole eco like rag. it's a free win button that has no counter play and as such it needs to be appropriately powered. Example, vs flaming weapons if I have more armoury ups, more production and some forts I can out play it. You cannot out play lightning it just kills everything. Now should it kill something, well yes, but right now it kills far too much. Also it never one shot units like SoO in previous versions, they removed bolt from being able to one shot him for this very reason. But now Zeus has it back. The favour gather rate seems to be an issue here too, getting it used on you three times is a little ridiculous.
Those lightning storms were brutal, but hotdoggy95 was devoting a full quarter of his villagers to praying for favor. Had those villagers been collecting resources instead to keep up his army numbers, I feel this match could have gone the other way.
I think it was a mistake too, it's powerfull but the favor cost doesn't seem to justify casting it twice unless it's super effective. And your opponent kind of learns the first time.
