What a great chance encounter. I have also experienced the older pipe smokers being rather private about their blends. I envy your time with him and the stories to be shared. Precious moment. 🤠 great job
@Thecarolinapiper ill have to watch a few minutes of the video to see what tamper I was using. But no I don't make anything that is available for sale online. The tamper ive used most for the last 10+ years is an empty or spent. 45-70 casing with a skinny antler tune that just happened to fit inside of it. Most spent cartridge casings without too wide of a base or rim will work.if it fits in your pipes it will work. Especially with a pointy object fitted to it that will alow you to stir the burning bits or scape out the bowl when your done smoking.
Plugs flakes cakes and rolls were meant to be torn off and stuffed in a pipe because sailors and soldiers did not have the luxury of rubbing out tobacco on a windy topside or in the field. Youve got the right idea.
Tower Talk's are always a treat...I watched them new, as they were released. I occasionally re-watch them when I want cheering up - and here I am...again. Thanks TD
Great video love this , I have been smoking a meerschaum for over 30 yrs . I love the meerschaum pipe . A tip for you to let know if the pipe is real Meerschaum or not . Take your pointer finger and get it wet then take your wet finger and stick it in the bowl and touch the wall if it sticks then it’s real Block Meerschaum! Hope you pass this tip on to someone else. New to your channel love the content . Love the history keep up the great work . Some of the YTPC people are not that great and it’s hurting the pipe smoking community. Your Awesome and I will follow you my friend. I am a Marine and love my pipes ! Semper Fidelis! Happy 4th of July to you Sir Scott
Do I really need to even break it up before loading my pipe or can I just simply tear a piece off and stuff it in my cob pipe and light up? Seems to me it would help burn slower as well...reason I ask is I've only smoked ribbon so far.
Great video! And, you just named off a list Great musicians. Awesome old Bible. That's an amazing heirloom. I would say I'm a bit envious, but the Bible says not to have envy, so Congratulations. But, as a history lover, if you decide to sell it let me know.
Sent by Idaho Hillbilly, you kind of remind me of Cimber Bushcraft with your Viking tent and pipe and alll. He would probably be envious of your spot there being in Denmark . Look forward to seeing more.
Hello TD, dropped by from Idaho Hillbillies channel to say hello and see what is happening. Looks like ya got a beautiful campsite. Thanks for sharing. 😊✌🏼
Hey there Travis, i know your kiving in the woods right now according to your last video, but in your video about old blends and some new, you mentioned Evening flake. Well i ordered a 1/2 pound and i enjoy it. Sometimes sweet, a little tingle on the tounge from the perique Anyway show us how you stuff and fold these short flakes to smoke in a video. Ive watched all your video's, some at least 200 times or more. Anyway thanks and ill see ya later, Tommy
Sweet set-up TD, seems you're in your element! I'm a tad envious but can't complain. Best to you through the tending and harvesting and good to see you!
I am definitely in my element. Feels like old times. Very familiar. Living in a canvas tent on a cranberry marsh. Yep, I've spent a few years doing this on a different marsh. Good to see ya in the comments.
