I don't understand, every time I try wgat you're doing, I fail spectacularly while you succeed spectacularly. I do everything you do, but it never works. I boom and zoom, and I can't maneuver to aim. I hit snd run to get away from a Spitfire or something, but i get shot anyway. It's never enough.
New player here. Great! Awesome vid loved it. One thing that confused me was how you managed to WASD your plane around moving but not having it revert back to your flight cursor when you let got of WASD.

I appreciate this video. There was a bit more information here than I knew before, but there is a lot of terminology that I don't fully understand, such as energy and rope-a-dope. And what do you mean when you say you 'hit your team mates kill to ensure they go in'?
A rope-a-dope is that maneuver where you zoom climb up above an enemy and then circle around. You're trying to trap them at low speed. The thing with "hitting my team mate's kill": I was trying to damage the Spitfire's controls to make sure they go into the ground--without killstealing.
I have to find optimum climbing airspeed by going through many trials of testing different climb speeds with a stopwatch. The thing with shallower climbs is just by feel; past a certain speed range, you will really notice that your extra speed doesn't make up for the lower climb rate.

Realistic battles are a joke on War thunder, real life tactics don't work that well. When booming and zooming you often have a someone below you with you speed whatsoever, they aim at you while you are climbing past them and hit you without problem. It's too easy to aim with the mouse
Watching ur vid, i saw how honourable of a pilot u're. Never going to kill steal ur teamate prey, assisting ur teamate during combat, be a recon... the trust u have in them is really admirable.
The difference from you and DEFYN is, u're more like a team player which is shown in the vid when you covered and assist ur ally while defyn straight up pawning his allies and carrying the game🤣 well.. since im learning from you, that also makes me a team player🙌🏼
Thanks for this video. I`m no expert pilot, but the I recently found success with the P47 and the F6F fighting at lower and medium altitudes and had much more fun with those planes.
Jesus man... I rarely survive dogfights with more than 1 enemy and just assumed that's just how the game played. But watching you play made me realize i just suck really lol. I'll watch more of your vids
