When it comes to fat loss, insulin isn't a problem and isn't the reason people are not losing weight. Fat loss is created by managing your energy balance and creating an energy deficit. Carbohydrates and insulin are certainly not the issue here for fat loss. One last point on insulin... Unless you're diabetic, insulin isn't a concern and is a perfectly natural and needed response from the body when we consume carbohydrates 🙂
And to cover your point on refined carbs... There is no doubt that there are more nutrient-dense foods than refined carbs but it's a bit of a sweeping statement saying refined carbs "are bad" They can certainly be part of a healthy diet 🙂
I wish everyone would stfu about weight loss. It’s all people care about anymore. Guess what, when you’re 80 you’re not gunna wish you did more squats, you’re gunna wish you are better foods that fed your soul!!! I’m so sick of seeing weight loss, keto, oatmeal, protein videos.
Hey Mandy, Thanks for your comment, firstly, my advice here would be to scroll straight past anything that seems to trigger you, that's what I tend to do when I wish people would "stfu" about certain things... that really does feed the soul from a positive mindset point of view. Secondly, I work with lots of ladies who are unhappy with how they feel, have super low body confidence and want to get to the age of 80 years of age in a position where they are able to run around with their grandkids without feeling uncomfortable and out of breath... working on their body composition, improving their overall health and improving their relationship with food is something that does this. They want to address their fat loss to help them "Improve" their lives (their words, not mine) and I will continue to put out solid evidence-informed nutrition information to help them achieve this. I have helped hundreds of women to win back their body confidence, love what they see in the mirror again and feel empowered about the body they live in. I always leave them in a far better position than I found them. Maybe go after some of the charlatans in this industry who actually do go and do harm to their clients with bad information that is full of pseudoscience and quackery... there's plenty out there on RU-vid and social media. PS. I have loads more videos like this on the way to my channel so I am not sure if you can do this on RU-vid (forgive me, my tech ability is very limited) but maybe you are best to block me or something... I would hate to think I am going to ruin another one of your days. PPS. Squats are really good for you, I will defo be doing them if, god willing, I live to the age of 80. All the best in the future. Hey Viva, Thank you for your comment. Absolutely, fat loss is all about managing your energy balance and ultimately, making sure that you are in an energy/calorie deficit to burn fat. With regards to carbs, they are not the devil of fat loss that people believe they are (unless we are eating them in an energy surplus, of course) and can be very much enjoyed and consumed as part of a fat-loss diet 🙂
I agree. The key here is to be the very best that YOU can be, all while being happy and confident in the body that you live in. And while having good health to enjoy it 🙂👌🏻
