The tag on it when you get it says it’s for chemicals solvents oils etc everything but fuel. You’re right it’s just for legal purposes. If it can handle chemicals and solvents it can handle gas.
I'm on my second xj , like my 5 Jeep. I can't stand the rattling, creaking, and clunking but the rest of the xj is amazing and I don't think you could do it (the experience) in any other vehicle.
I love my xj , 98 with 12 hole injectors and 99 up intake and exhaust manifolds , makes good power , but I'm looking to swap to a 4 cylinder when this motor dies.
I have an M1010 that I drove to see my family over 800 miles away. I took 2 days out to them and 1 day coming back. I kept my top speed at or below 55 to avoid over-revving the engine. That sure was a long trip! I love it but friends who have ridden in it don't always share my enthusiasm. It takes the right person to live with one of these.
I've blown 3 starters in my 86 CUCV over the last 15 years and I barely use it. This must be why, thanks for the detailed guide, gonna get it done today! (and order a new starter)
In the 80's, I ran an Army DSU. My F&E (Fuel and Electric) guys were all GM trained on the Stanadyne DB2 fuel systems. They were wizards on injection systems. They tuned over a hundred CUCV and Humvee fuel systems. More power, no smoke and no negative impact on fuel economy. Most of their tuning was done on the vehicle, but they also had an injection test stand in their shop. The military used the "J" 6.2, so there was no EGR, only a CCDR valve. From the factory, all the CUCV engine injection pumps adjusted to the low end, as were the replacement pumps. The M998 pumps had a bit more fuel delivery due to weight of the vehicle.
I'm not really against this push button crap but I always choose to put the glow plug system back to its original condition. They worked for 40 yrs without failure (mostly). Not too bad compared to that chinesium relay that might last all summer if your lucky.
Mine don't have a gauge Just has a dam light. And it's turning on within 4 miles of driving. I took the fan clutch off. Drilled 4 holes in it and put rivets in it locking the clutch. It's got a new radiator. It still comes on.
Thank you for sharing. I am about to regear my rig from 4:56 to 5:26 to run 37s. I will probably run the 37s on 4:56 until I get all tools that is needed.
hello! I have an XJ 4.0 sport with 186 thousand km...what is the ideal oil model to use? At the moment I use 20w50 valvoline...I'm from RJ Brazil. Thank you in advance for the information
What kind of Dodge is this . Appears to be a 4x4 truck by the driveshaft next to the transmission. Im trying to research where the speedo sensor is on a 2009 charger. Appears to need all four wheel sensors and ABS module. But at the moment not concerned about the ABS Only need the speedo to work and hoping that will allow the transmission to shift from 1-2. . Would this be the transmission output sensor?
Hey nice video, good explanation. I’m wondering where you get parts for this engine I picked up a Giovanni 250cc and it needs valves, camshaft as wells as the sprocket. Can’t find much on Amazon and don’t know if it would be compatible. If you have any idea let me know.
I know this is an old video. Thanks for it anyway. The sahara has no lockers but does have this traction braking control system if I'm right. If so, does it work in 4H and 4L thanks
was at my buddys garage one day watched him eat up 3 cams trying to break them in we switched to rotella the 4th time never had a problem with that cam
y'all know you're making a video, right? You know, where you show the truck and the parts you're talking about? See, just staring at your beard for 6 minutes ain't exactly interesting.
Yep, lol. Spent money on 31's and a stroker engine and now I need 4.10's, the regear wpuld cost me more than my Stroker, Clifford intake and Holley 390 DP combined!!! Nope, gonna buy spare axles and regear. Keep the old incase I screw something up, lol.
Drives up you brake repair bills due to premature wear of the brakes system. Just a thought for all. JK's on up have a switch to enable this when off road automatically.
Ronnie great vid, did you use the jet that came with the Mikuni Carb? Also how did the sprocket change the ride, I just bought one a 2024 KLX RL. Thanks
