I've always found this album so intriguing because in theory, it exactly fits my tastes and hits all the marks but like Minecraft I just can't enjoy it like others and dont quite see (hear) what others do? Its like finding a piece of puzzle that fits yet is from another set and does not feel right within your puzzle. Its the best way i can describe my feelings with it. Maybe one day like minecraft I'll slowly dip my toes in and find a way to enjoy it in my own way, but with the freedom I'm given in minecraft I struggle to create as I gotta have some sort of small basis (animal crossing is my perfection for this and older sims, its sandbox but im also restricted still. Osrs also, im free yet have limits.) I feel like it (the album) is too free for me and until I understand how to feel about that freedom I can't fathom its beauty.
ITS HER WORK !!! Watch her live , listen to her other music. ..... that album is All ,All Lauryn Hill. You work with her it was a honor, but its her work. Lauryn Please please make another album soon.
This song is one of my favorite from Need for Speed: Undercover. EA had an amazing knack for song choice. Undercover's garage/shop music encapsulated the feeling of the story perfectly.
I notice when I have something with sucrose, it changes my reality. In the true love timeline, Mr. Curtis Mayfield wrote a song where the chorus began Diamond in the Back. Sunroof down. Digging the scene with a gangsta lean, mmmhmmm. In the verse preceding that, he said.. be thankful for what you got. ITS THE SAME SONG. THE MAIN POINT IS BE THANKFUL THEN PROCEED WITH WANTING MORE. SIMPLE. These RU-vid videos are Artificial Intelligence trying to be and have more, without being grateful. The Curtis Mayfield song DOES exist. YOUR innerstanding of it DOES NOT!!!!
It’s all about the song and the feel and just being musical, how you get there isn’t as important, I don’t hear a mistake and I’ve played this song on keyboard probably 2500 times, it’s a classic for any type of gig
I wasn't even a fan of their music, I'm a bit of a snob as I play instruments and thought they were just electronic trash. I remember this album coming out and was floored, it was just different to anything else they had done and I was there for it. Absolute masterpiece from a musical perspective.
Really impressive work on recreating newjack! I listened to this album almost obsessively back when electro was emerging. The Phantom II bass is particularly curious to me. The sound isn't a part of the general midi instrument bank, so it would have to be a deep dive into proprietary instrument banks.
That was a good piece ! A relatively new band from Manchester (UK) are doing lots of Doom covers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HtIfn1CGLjQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sossVHoi2R4.html Check them out - new kids on the block, and getting serious traction on-line.
the first justice song i heard wasnt D.A.N.C.E., it was "We are your friends" being played on the PA at an indoor skatehall hearing that booming in a large building while on a board or BMX is something else i tell ya
I know im not the first or last boy that has suffered the violence and the gang culture in the streets, especially living in a third world country, i remember listened for the first time M.A.A.D city that line of: "light-skinned nigga with his brains blown out" unlocked me the memory when i saw my cousin with his brain on the street, more than 500 shots i was 7 o 8 years old. damn me and my mom we have seen many crazy shits. Thats why this album means a lot for me, cuz is not about how we used to live in this ambient of violence, but about how my parents and God protected me making those years special for me.
He missed the biggest reason why there's confusion. Dude, sounds like Curtis from his singing to the music. It sounds like something Curtis would sing about too.
Great video! But I have one question that k hope you can answer, what is the purpose of composing a song then when you have the elements of it trying to find samples to replace everything on the original record/maquette ? Hope I was clear, If anyone can brighten me it will be very cool… Thanks!
I wonder if "Horizon" also represents something akin to the event horizon of a black hole, if we continue with that analogy of lifting off into space after "contact". When approaching a black hole, from outside observation, things entering the horizon eventually appear to stand still. Frozen in time, immortalized even. Their albums will remain timeless. Even though they may have moved on to other projects and are no longer together as Daft Punk, we can still look at their creations, and the eras of music they sought to capture, sample, and reproduce.
Everytime I take the time to listen to one of your video's, I'm blown away. Because of how well done they are and how interresting they are. You're awesome. (Patreon member)
