Ngl, 1st watch.. i hate this movie just cuz i can't help but keep comparing it with the other version. I dislike it in anyway but- i like the idea of that type of zombie. Still a bit conscious u know. I like that zombie. Haha
My best friend and I had a whole laughing fit at Wickham‘s seize of London plan. Just the map of London and three big red arrows. I love this movie so much 😂 Edit: My vote for “Lost in Austen” next-ish, because really why not at this point
The amount of incredible women I know in my life that went to law school or studying law because of this movie is crazy. One of my best friends moms went to law school later in life with the hope of going to Harvard law like elle woods and one of my good friends is on the track to go to Harvard law and I jokingly asked her I was like is it because of legally blonde you wanted to go to Harvard and she said yes because if it weren’t for Reese Witherspoon she would have no interest in law school because she pushed her ambitions for law and if that doesn’t tell you how important this movie is to women in the law industry. I don’t know what is.
There are parody/mash up books with the same title of Jane Austin’s literature: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters.
When Rizzo said he wanted to shake the characters and make them "talk normal", it reminded me of a Calvin and Hobbes comic. Calvin is having a conversation with his mother, and they spend three panels talking in flowery Shakespearean style. Then the final panel shows that they're actually on a couch watching a movie, presumably Shakespeare, and Calvin says "Holy Shlamoly, isn't there a cop show on where they talk like *normal* people?" It's one of my favorite strips.
By the way, you've made a lot of *obvious* connections between this story and others like "West Side Story", but did you notice how much it's like the Star Wars prequels? Anakin and Padme are star-crossed lovers (Star Wars-crossed lovers, even), they get secretly married, they both "die", and Padme doesn't sleep with Anakin until he's become a murderer. Interesting, no? Also, if I remember correctly, there were a lot of rumors about Leo playing Anakin until Hayden Christensen was cast.
Rizzo exclaiming "oh, Charles Dance is in this!" as he's literally narrating the intro xD And I still maintain you should watch the BBC mini series of Pride & Prejudice, if only for the iconic wet shirt scene ;) Matt Smith can make any character likeable, it's bizarre. Oh, and I want all of Lizzie's coats.
Pride and Prejudice (the 2005 and both BBC mini-series) are my go to feel-good movies. One of them will be on at least once a month in my house. When we found this movie my husband said "finally! something we can agree on!" 😅 So glad y'all did this one! It's truly an underrated gem.
Lol!! I knew you'd love it! 😂 I couldn't believe they made this movie when it came out. It's total fanfiction lol! They need to make more fun movies or shows like this. Can you imagine a show set in the regency era with zombies? Or any sort of fictional monsters. It's such a fun blend of genres!
This is a bit out of left field and I know you’re being flooded with P&P recs. However, Bride and Prejudice is really fun, I watched it as a child so it’s very nostalgic for me. It’s a sort of Hollywood and Bollywood fusion, so it’s a musical which Benji would appreciate.
You guys weren't listening, Lizzy wasn't in different to marriage in the beginning. She clearly states in the bed scene with Jane that " only the deepest love will persuade me to marry which is why I will die an old maid". She was never closed off for marriage but knew for her to get married she would have to truly deeply fall in love. She didn't want to marry out of obligation or station. She wants a love match.
There are 3 deleted scenes in this film that i love: 1. Charlie telling bella she's his greatest accomplishment after her graduation. 2. A scene between angela (the friend with the glasses) where they have a normal teenage discussion about bella's love triangle, showing that bella really is just a teenager. 3. When bella tells edward "i love you more" and all that after she kisses jacob edward says something that is js rlly sad lol "when i left, i left you bleading, and jacob stitched you up. That left its mark on the both of you, and thats my fault. I just want you to be happy, nomatter what" or something along those lines, and you can hear the emotion in edwards voice. But ofcourse, they deleted all the best scenes that humanise the characters 🙄
The part where cinderella was told to eat away from her step family was sad kdrama and thai drama worthy. 😅 i cried watching that scene. But i love this movie.
This book is so much fun and this was a great adaptation of it lol I really them to do the Seamonster one too 😂 The cast was perfect but Matt Smith as Mr. Collins was icing on the cake for me 😂
i just realised something about Po's dad. So he's been selling his Secret Ingredient Soup for years, only it has no secret ingredient that makes it different from the rest of his other noodle soup...that means Po's dad and his family before him have been charging different (possibly more expensive) price for the same soup and scamming their customers for YEARS!!
really enjoyed this video! however, if you're only able to stomach a limited number of Pride & Prejudice remixes, it's a shame you didn't do *Bride & Prejudice* from 2004. It's a Bollywood rendition set in modern India and made by the director of Bend It Like Beckham. It's not as copy-paste as this one is. And it's just delightful.
Loved this reaction!❤️ I laughed so hard at Benji’s comparison to zombies given brains, to alcoholics being tricked in drinking, it’s so messed up but hilarious🤣 that’s really lame Mr. Darcy, not cool bro😂 anyway since you guys have done so many reactions like Bridgerton and pride and prejudice, maybe you could do sense and sensibility, it’s one of my favorite romance movies.
This is definitely my favourite Pride and Prejudice film. But there's another adaptation, bbc tv series with Colin Firth. Unfortunately that one doesn't have zombies
Loving the pride and prejudice reactions❤coming from a fan of the book I think y’all are so funny (btw I think y’all would love Austenland, a funny spin on the movie with Jennifer Coolidge)
Ah yes, the great love story of Cinderella, daughter of Tywin Lannister, and Maleficent's raven, all in a zombie-infested land ruled by war veteran Queen Cersei. 😁 (No but really, the cast was great!! I unironically love this movie)
