We've had pcv issues with it at the moment... currently reworking the design but not having much luck with the company that makes them... thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
Time for more powaaaaaa!!! That's awesome. I'm so glad to know she's living on :) Thanks so much for watching! If you are ever in Essex, pop in!! Miriam xx
You can find it on Amazon, but we have had issues with ours so have currently gone back to standard for the forseeable :) Thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
You're not the only one that hates those spring clips that are used on water pipes. I hate them too! I get the point, they are spring loaded so only apply the required amount of pressure (jubilee clips can be over/under tightened) but they are so so much easier!
I've just bought an electric blue r53 but I love the black and chrome. My 1st car was a black and chrome leyland mini do I've kinda gone full circle. Anyway had my car for 3 weeks and timing chain went. £900 later and it's up and running nicely. It's in amazing condition for its age. Never known a car to have so many mixed feelings for but it's a joy to drive. I wish there were more mini guys like you based in South devon
Hi Dan, Great to hear you have a mini but sorry to hear about your chain! Glad you have managed to sort it though! Hopefully we can meet at a show one day! Thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
Need to edit it! Just sooo busy with everything that RU-vid falls by the way side. Will try and get it up asap :) Thanks so much for watching so far! Miriam xx
@@ModAMiniGarage I'm curious about the 3rd video also. I've got an 09 Clubman getting some Carillo pisons and rods & I'm debating upgrading the cams while its apart!
Great video! That engine looks as grot as mine. I am about to order one of these kits from yourself. I have the gearbox off for doing the clutch, given it's a couple of hoses & electrical connectors and the A/C pump then the engine can be yoinked out I am seriously tempted to do this. Also need to do the CV boots like yours! Don't think my rocker cover has ever been off as the bolts have disintegrated on the front so that will be fun!
Sounds like you are having just as much fun as we did! For anything you buy off our website make sure you use code 5offonus for a small discount :) Thank you so much for watching! Miriam xx
@@ModAMiniGarage Thank you, very much appreciated :) Yeah am having fun, so much fun I want to crack on with another already :D and I've not finished this one yet
To change the O-ring's you don't :) as long as you don't remove the coolant lines you don't have to drain it :) might lose a bit of oil for you :) Thanks so much for watching and apologies for the late reply. Miriam xx
Hahahaha we have a customer with a Ford F250 Harley Davidson Edition it so lovely! Don't have a clue about bike but minis leak like sieves! Mostly :) Thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
We can do valve stem seals with no problems at all :) we can also do them without removing the head :) So, makes the job a little cheaper to :) Feel free to get in touch, with me, contact@torquemonkey.co.uk Miriam xx
No news, we are having issues with the PCV system at the moment so wont be bringing them to market for a little while unfortunately. I will do an update video at some point for this! Thanks so much for watching, Miriam xx
Good job there's loads of other videos on RU-vid then 🤣 we personally do this all in our own time and at our own expense so actually want to enjoy ourselves too! Thanks for watching this one though and all the best - Miriam xx
I say on the manifold cover, if the company can't send you one undamaged; then they don't need their name on the cover. Sand it back to metal and put your own color on it. Then you have a nicer looking piece w/o some company's name ruining the engine bay.
That might be the way we end up going. we will just have to see how it goes. We thought we had an issue with it, but I think it's something else as we fitted a new cover and wad still the same after, so that good :) thanks for watching! Miriam xx
Speak to the guys at Detroit Tuned, and they will be able to help :) Great bunch of guys, we use them a fair bit for parts :) www.detroittuned.com Thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
He's called a Basenji, they are an African Hunting Hound and are Bark less (although they do make annoying noises hahaha, by no means silent!) If you ever pop into the Garage you can meet our little Cooper and also our second one called Morgan :) Thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
I will pass over the information to him he will be chuffed someone commenting about him for sure!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Miriam xx
So glad you enjoyed it :) If you ever decide to go down the Cooper S N14 route you now have some ideas :) Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Miriam xx
We have used the stock springs :) We have not changed anything at all from standard. We have just fitted the cams and had them mapped in :) Hope this helps, Miriam xx
Have to say that shouting time update is just so annoying! Please buy a tripod and then that person wont be needed and they can go and shout at some pigeons or something
Well.... that person is Jon - the person that started Mod A Mini, sorts almost all of the Mod A Mini orders and virtually all of the messages and emails that come into the business so he is definitely not going anywhere! :-) I agree the time update thing is a tad annoying but he is doing it to speed me along or to get me off my phone while we record! I will try and make sure that I don't give him reason to need to hurry me along :-) thank you for watching though! Hopefully the next video will be better, Mim xx
Hello..Miriam…I have a 2003 SVT Cobra as well as a 2007 R56 Cooper…Have had the Mini since 2010…Cobra since 2003…love your channel and look forward to any new content..wish you and all the other Mini owners could join us up in Michigan for Minis on the Mack….look forward to talking to you…Paul.
Hi Paul, that is so cool!! I saw your emails this morning - the Minis on the Mack looks insane!! I really hope that one day I can come along! :-) I hope that we can continue to entertain you on this channel, hahah!! Speak soon, Miriam xx
We'll see what we can do :) There are lots more recorded. I just need to get them edited :) I really appreciate you taking the time to comment :) thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
Love your channel…I’ve had my Mini since 2010…R56…modded of course…21 lbs of boost…car is a blast to drive…we do Minis on the Mack ..2023 was last year we were there…been doing this event since 2015…car is bullet proof..wish we could all get together and hang out….best wishes…Paul.
No way that is so cool! Do you know if you beat the English record? I'm not sure how we would get a car to the US for this, but if we ever get big enough to be able to afford to do that, we are coming for sure!!! Email us some pics of your Mini :) We'd love to see it! Contact@modamini.co.uk, thanks for watching! Miriam xx
@@ModAMiniGarage We have not beat the record set by the UK…but now it has turned into a big party…440 miles for us starting in Ohio….Mackinaw City is a blast..the Mackinaw Bridge is way cool…so much to do there…will try to send pics..best regards to you…😀.
Hello…I changed mine 5 years ago…mini said it never has to be changed…BS…although there was nothing wrong with it…I still changed it..just like lifetime oil…whatever….🤣🤣
Yea, exactly! It's madness, but at least the mini community knows mostly :) and the parts are readily available :) Thanks for watching my first short :) Miriam xx
Yea, unfortunately, it's been flagged for copyright :( So the audio cuts out... I really need to remake it! Thanks for watching and commenting! Miriam xx
i like my mini cooper but for every work on the front of the motor (changing alternator, changing oil sump gasket (mini with AC), you always have to drain the coolant to move the radiator
Ahh, yea, Front end servoce mode... some bits you can get away with not draining, but yea, that is an annoying messy and adds up cost wise! It's definitely worth tackling all jobs in one go if you can :) Thanks so much for watching! Miriam xx
Horse crap......replacing a heater matrix on this mini is one of the easiest to do. Most cars you got to take the dash out and a whole lot more.....depends on your skill level, I guess!?!?
You've obviously never attempted it with an £18 on off ebay... thanks for watching and commenting :) for anyone reading this, however many years on... its still working and not leaking... so harder to fit than oem but waaay cheaper :) Miriam xx
This is very true! The main issue is the clips.... ise the originals and no issues! Even all these years on, it's still fine! Thanks for watching and Commenting! Miriam xx
I have a cheap intercooler on my r56. It’s definitely better than OEM. I would love to see a test of cheap IC compare to one branded like Airtec or something similar.
We may well be doing this soon! We have just been on the dyno and are possibly going to be changing based on the results. All will be explained in the upcoming videos. Thanks for watching! Miriam xx
