@@dailydrivencarsddc1182 i used a grip racing twin to make this 700. there is a cheaper twin now days i know a couple ppl are using the alder twin i belive it has worked for 3 friends making 700+ so far. that would be a nice goal on that budget
my AWD civic has been through 4 clutches, 2 fx400 and 2 act stage 3, i think ima settle with the ebay twin since its a weekend car. im making 550, low boost mainly for spirited driving/meets
I want to take my stock AWD setup out of my 2016 2.4 AWD CTV CRV with 195hp and put it into my 98 Civic 4-door. All weather daily driver. Coilovers and rims for Style. So I can jack up my coilovers and put winter wheels on. It would be a very safe daily driver. The lighter Civic might not put as much strain on the CVT. Maybe a 4 lb turbo for blowoff sounds noises. It would probably be cheaper to build my CRV. But the Civic still seems funner even though it's a lot slower.
Thank you for the review, I’m currently at 659whp/458ftlbs and my comp stage 4 isn’t cutting it. I rarely (if ever) track the car, and it only comes out in the summer a few times for some visits to Mexico. I was on the fence about a twin because of the cost (again I rarely even drive it), but now I think I’ll go for either the Grip or Yonaka twin setup and just see how it goes. But you’ve definitely made a believer out of me regarding the grip.
Not really went 10.0 at ifo could not launch hard got my t case fully ppg went to track and broke 3 axels currenly waiting on a new clutch disc and then back to track next week ill keep updated.
My last clutch was from Grip. Does the twin require a break in? Does it matter even on a pucked clutch? I rushed it, had some chunks out when I took it out....prolly a year later of street abuse
Yes sir you are sopose to break it in also but i only did a few miles maby 50 or so . I think it just really comes down to how you drive and the luck of the draw . a few small chunks are normal ive seen that befor on twins but even name brand clutch can blow up.
@@KongEG do your gears whine. i have a similar setup and mine whines. gearx top eliminator B awd set and gearx 4,0 Extreme duty final. trans was clearance and shimmed to oem spec. i guess the final is a low angle helical maybe the reason. I expect the straight cut 1st gear to but i hear the sound in every gear, figured its the final drive.
I am currently not using a pulsar turbo anymore i am using a borg s472. I had one on my non vtec biuld and i was impressed with it. i asked your facebook about a turbo to make 1000 hp and i got ghosted so that is why i went a different rout. Lol
@@KongEG Thanks for your reply. Sad to hear that, as the brand has good turbos supporting builds with way more then 1000HP reliably world-wide... I wonder who you tried contacting trough Facebook as there are various distributors on Facebook. We understand you going a different route if you feel not taken seriously. But if any needs or interest, feel free to contact us via email. Would love to see your running a Pulsar Turbo and get back to the family ;) look up pulsar turbo benelux
