How about this 3rd party ink quality? How does it compare to Epson OEM genuine cartridge (ink quality)? Hesitating to buy an XP 15000 +refillable kit or else the more expensive but genuine ink with an Epson ET 15000 or ET 8500. Dilemma!!!

Do you know if this can be done to a Canon Pixma Pro-1? My PB nozzle is totally blocked! If yes how do I get the printhead out. My printer was left for 9 years I barely printed anything with it.
The Pro 1 printhead isn’t as easily removable and is configured differently as it hooks into a cis system so my guess would be no. There may be other resources that deal with that model in printerknowledge.com etc… so worth digging around.

Ah, The B200 is a bit of a catch all error relating to the printhead. Cleaning might help but given that your printhead is probably coming up for 8+ years old it may simply be that the printhead is dead. Recommend you check printerknowledge.com to see if you can find any hints and tips that might help.
I shorted my printer head while applying pressure and also ink cleaning solution got into the printer and disolved few circuits. Do not forget to apply minimal pressure. Otherwise you can burst the pipe and the solution can go into the printer like I did.
Appreciate the comment but you don't appear to have watched the video properly if at all. This video is about cleaning a removable Canon printhead, not an Epson type which you appear to be talking about. Your warning about minimal pressure is absolutely correct for Epson printhead cleaning but again, due to the design of Canon printheads (as per the one shown in the video) it's near impossible to apply too much pressure to these because the tubing will pop off if you even try. You also wouldn't clean a Canon printhead in the actual printer or you really would risk spraying the insides of the printer with cleaning solution.
@@octoinkjet I tried to clean printhead while it's inside the printer. I applied more pressure because I thought it's clogged. Tubing bursted and sprayed the printer as you said. I should've removed it before trying to clean it. Your guide is helpful, I appreciate it. But I think cleaning printer with this method is dangerous. Ordinary people should stick with putting warm wet napkin under the printer head and let it rest for a day.
Yikes! Okay... definitely not a good idea to attack the printer clog inside the printer, but it sounds like you've learned some important lessons, much as we have ourselves in the past. I do wonder how much pressure you were trying to apply such that the tubing actually split. Can you explain a bit further why you feel the process would be "dangerous"?
@octoinkjet I applied a lot of pressure to the air inside tubing condansated 3ml. This method can damage your print head if you don't know the pressure you need to apply, like me. I thought it's a pipe that the solution would flow. But it's more like cleaning something, only dripping a few drops every 5 seconds. It's so hard to understand if it's unclogged or not.
Thanks for the extra information. It's probably worth you looking for examples of printhead disassembly's to understand how applying a lot of pressure is a bad idea. The design has a number of places where that pressure would just blow a gasket or similar if the ink itself was not moving. In terms of understanding if the printhead is unclogged, the only real way to be sure is to rinse, dry and reinstall to run a nozzle check. There's no real visual way to verify outside of the printer itself.
The first method i am looking to try. Do i need to rinse with water before putting head back into printer. I was going to also leave the head socked in the solution overnight what are your thoughts on this.
Would always recommend you rinse with distilled or deionised water to remove any lingering traces of cleaning solution, then let the printhead dry off before installing. As for leaving the printhead to soak overnight. That's only something we've done if the clog is beyond stubborn as the printhead cleaning solution can damage the printhead. Always good idea to check with the solution distributor to see if it's suitable for short or long term use.
Dear sir,,please provide the solution for G3770,,I am sick of it,,i need to deep cleanany times and it wastes inks,,ink absorber fills soon and I need to change that chip...is there any way to just reset it,,please reply,,if you have any solution then help me,,I enter the service mode and when i press stop button 5 times and presses power button, green light remain solid(that means nothihg is executing) and then presses power button again then it prints blank paper and paper stucks at the end only,,it doesnt reset counter...please help...
The G3770 has a user replaceable maintenance cartridge which is basically a waste ink pad holder with a chip. It doesn't use an internal waste ink counter (unless there is one for the platen pad holder which is usually only applicable to Epson printers) so the process shown in this video is redundant. Now for the good news. There is a chip resetter for the MC-G04 maintenance cartridge used by your printer so if you can find replacement waste pad material you can reset the chips that way and re-use the cartridge. Trust that helps.
if you are doing this commerically cant you make an ultrasonic bath with your own DIY fluid and dunk the whole assembly in it then clean thru the channels by hand on the bench, I realise the bath will get full of bits, but does the inks finally dissolve or can they be flushed out. this process you show looks painfully long ? (sorry I come from the days of dot matrix printers and apple printers ie 1978 onwards hahaha) I hate inkjet printers and have the stains to prove it, nice video tho lots of editing I can appreciate the work...
It probably can but my own experience of ultrasonics was limited when I effectively destroyed the internal nozzles system in a Canon printhead I was testing. Doubtless the bath I was using was incorrectly setup but I've never found the time or suitable reference materials to take another stab at it. That aside, it's worth remembering that not many end-users are likely to have the necessary equipment so, while this is a long winded approach this is one of those times where I resort to our family motto, "If it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid!" ;)

Please see my reply to your other comment for the information on refillable cartridges for the XP-4205. However one thing I forgot to mention was that resetting the maintenance box chips is not limited so you can reset the maintenance box chips on North American printers even if the refillable cartridges can't.
Recommend you contact InkOwl and ask them as they have more experience of North American models. My understanding is that Epson has been able to get trade restrictions on refillable cartridges, chips and chip resetters for any of it's newer printer models. This effectively blocks North American printer owners from using refill tools with their printers. Whether that applies to your model I don't know but I'd prepare for the worst. Let us know what you find out as it'd be useful information in case we're asked again.
@@octoinkjet okay thank you very much! I had thought that I had heard something like that before. I did see a video, though where a man drilled a hole in an Epson 4205 ink cartridge to refill it. People in the comments said it did not work for them. I did not try it yet.
The G2100 is a different layout to the one shown in the video but it has the buttons you need (ie: power and stop). So it should work... There are other videos that show the same process so you can probably find a video that uses the same process but on a model more like your printer.
Thanks for the great video with all the information and all the time you took for gathering them! You calm voice suits such a complex modification perfectly! One Question left: do i need a new reset code each time the printer "thinks" its sponge is full or can i use the key over and over again?
Thanks for your kind comments. To answer your follow up question, you would need a new key each time to reset the waste ink counter. You may be able to find a copy of the relevant Canon service tool that resets the counter but you do need the correct one and finding that can be a major undertaking.
I’ve tried but not had much success with pigments. There’s undoubtedly a suitable solvent that will remove any ink but it could damage the gradient markings on the strip. On balance I’d probably recommend replacement if you can get the part.

That’s caused by a recent update that seems to be caused by either connecting over Wifi or not having the model specific driver installed. Recommend you connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable and try again.
Thank you so much !!!! You saved my printer. The tutorials are absolutely perfect. I received the kit and the key rapidly and followed the tutorials and my printer works ! I hate my Epson printer because there is always something going wrong. I used to buy non Epson cartridges but it suddenly stopped taking them because as soon as I installed them they would show empty, so, I just bought 4 brand new Epson ink cartridges (the 3 colours + photo black, because the silly printer won’t print plain black without all the other cartridges that I don’t use but still empties them with time) and as soon as I installed them, it told me the waste was full, and I was so frustrated !!!

The more detail you can provide about your computer operation system, anti-virus, how connected to printer, the error(s)/symptoms in full, etc… the better I can figure out what’s happening and how to get round it.
Given that you likely just changed the pads too it’s likely some ink has leaked from the carts, particularly if you turned the printer on its side or back. It should subside with time but you may want to mop up any excess in the capping station (area the printhead rests on).

Just checked the WICReset "Supported models" tab and the L3210 is on there so you shouldn't have any problems using the app to reset the waste ink counter on that model printer.

Glad it helped. As for the old carts. Best to toss them and start fresh. 2 years for the dye inks (the CLI type) will likely have encouraged biological growth inside while the pigment PGI ink will likely have clumped. Best to move on..
