For those of you wondering where my trombone tutorials are - they will probably return, I just needed to focus on my own development for a while. I really appreciate all the kind words, and other interesting feedback as well. Keep swingin'! 🎶
That’s a cool song, and using a B7 adds another flavor to the minor blues. I have actually never played it (I love Horace’s recording though) but I think I would treat that chord like it was a “regular” Abm7 and just replace the note bb with an a.
@@paulrodberg From what I remember they are fairly similar. Maybe the Best Brass has a tiny bit more resistance when going from C(6) to Bb(1) for instance.
I remember the amount of times I was completely oblivious to the tune the band was playing. I seriously dnt know how I coped ,never heard the tune before just told name of tune , I managed to get into the swing of the thing n played

That was mostly to show off the "Swedish fingering" (the third valve lowers the pitch one semi-tone / half step more than usual). You can play Db on the 2nd valve as well.
@@DanielKJohanssonTrombone I've never seen Swedish fingering before! Is there a particular reason for this? Having a low Eb could be nice, but I'm assuming it changes some intonation properties?
