It doesnt need more power it just needs the torque dip removed. Header and tune and its done. Yes if you have the budget for a supercharger get it you will love it
new honda owner here... was recently enjoying my 22 accord on the freeway when I felt the top speed stop at 120mph.... now I know what I need to remove the limiter.... lol fuck California car laws man.
Was going to Toyota dealership tomorrow but they quoted 330 dollars and said they wanted me to bring it by early in the morning because they quote all day for supra oil changes. My fucking ass dude. Suck a fatty.
Love the build! Glad it’s still running great! Have you had any extra maintenance caused by running this? Or nothing out of ordinary for a car of that age
What camber issues did you run in to after lowering? Of course no one needs coilovers. But somewhere along the way, it became popular to use their adjustability to just drop the car on the ground w/o using air. Coilovers are an easy sell and promise adjustability (and low) even though most will set it once and leave it. They won't corner balance the car; basically none of the things coilovers provide racecars to go around a track fast. I'm right there w/you; no one needs coilovers for a proper suspension/handling improvement.
I live in Canada as well and kraktwerks kit sucks. The blower broke the first winter I had it and they refused to warranty it. They gave me a second on at a discount and again in the winter the blower broke. They refused to help me I paid to get it taken out and shipped to them because no super charger should brake after not even having it for a year twice. I am out 4K if not more. All installed professionally from a shop. It was good when it worked but did not last long. Kraftwerks I hate you and your bad customer service.
Great video! Great explanation on the things you will see and steps to take. I just got a 2.0T so this was a good learning experience. How much more power did it make? What was the difference
How much power ( Hp and torque ) would I potentially gain with a tune on my 3.0t ( non red sport )? I just added a revel axle back to it. How much would it cost?
If you didn't find the answer yet, it would be theoretically at least 200 horsepower and over 100lb/ft of torque. This is because the Red Sport is basically an inhouse tune and there is no difference between the non-Red Sport engine and the Red Sport. So add what the difference is from non-Red Sport and Red Sport, then add the gains in this vid to get those numbers. However, just note that the Red Sport does have other/better non-engine parts. The ECUTEK tune is going to be the cheapest part of your upgrade if you are going to pay someone to source and install these said parts. (Or you can open a can of worms, your choice.) Selling your 3.0t and getting a Red Sport to ECU tune is going to be the less hassle, and maybe even cheaper. BTW your axle back is for sound. Neglible impact on horsepower/torque. You need a full exhaust for it to make enough difference that it affects the tune and needs mentioning.
This video is super helpful! Last time I got mine changed by a dealership and they added 10 miles. something about "driving" it around before changing the oil is a crock of shit. Sinc their tech thought it will be fine to drive it around, won't be needing their help on future oil change anymore.
