Hey, there! Thanks! That’s a great video idea! I’ll add that to my list of content. Just in case it takes a while to produce, here’s some general tips: perform exercises to strengthen the weaker side, beginning with light weights and gradually increase to match the stronger side; perform core exercises, such as planks, to stabilize your body and enhance balance; stretch often to lengthen your muscle fibers.

This was a really good breakdown video ❤️ I am just starting my weight training journey and this was incredibly helpful. This is the hardest thing to know for a beginner. I might have to watch it again lol. There was a ton of information in this and well thought out. Thanks for taking the time to make this. I know this must have been a ton of work to make.

David, how can I get a written copy of your nutrition video? It was excellent and by far better than any other information I have ever read. Thanks.

Hello! Thank you for all of the concise informations in the video. A lot to take but definitely helpful along the way. I have a question, I’m not sure what should I do in my fitness journey like deciding between weight loss or muscle gain. I’m 5’9 and 156lbs, I’m more to skinny fat. My goal is to become healthier and stronger but I also want to lose my belly fat so should I go with muscle gain or weight loss?
@KevTheTrainer
@KevTheTrainer 11 месяцев назад
Hey, Russel! I’m glad you found the video helpful! In regards to losing belly fat with a skinny fat build, the goal is fat loss while also increasing abdominal muscle definition, which can be achieved through a slight calorie deficit while also incorporating exercises like planks, crunches, leg raises and Russian twists. These alone won’t burn fat alone (still perform other whole body exercises), but will make your abs more prominent as your belly fat decreases from the calorie deficit. Hope that helps!

Hello Kev: Do you have any advise for seniors? Persons 65 and above that have allowed their bodies to unfortunately reach a state of atrophy. Having lost strength in almost every part of the body, and I'm tired of this, have recently joined a gym and want to not only, lose weight but also get my cardio back up to snuff, improve the various different muscle groups such as the Biceps, Triceps, Abs, Quadriceps and so forth. When I was in the service of my country 56 years passed, was in the Army an airborne ranger and never believed that I would ever lose my great physique, sit-ups were a breeze, pull-ups no problem and the various different kinds of push-ups! But alas today cannot do so much as a sit up, can't do pull-ups, and can not do a push-up if my life counted on it. For awhile wallowing in self pity and depression had set in didn't help either, it is so hard to pick myself up and start living again. All things considered I've done this and have reconfigured my mental state and regain my belief system, am now getting back to the life that I should have never lost, doing this not just for myself, but for my spouse and my family as well. It sounds to me that you have the experience to guide the younger sets, but how about the elders (giggling) I hate to actually admit that, but yes I have actually become a senior and I will not let that stop me anymore, I'm inspired, I so badly want to get peace of mind in the knowledge that when I leave this life I will have left it on my terms!! Thank you Kev for any advise you can send my way, would be greatly appreciated!
