The irony is that as Republicans move closer to fascism, they've given up on morality and expecting it from their leader. All the rules they came up with going back decades, from before the days when they jailed musicians for saying certain words (or Frank for making a tape) have turned into cries of "they are censoring us!" All the rules that made it into social media platforms comes from things they used to insist on, and with the exceptions of nudity and sex, it bothers them that people are not allowed to break those rules by being vulgar and hateful, and spreading false information. They've also given up on following their own religion and now merely pretend to do so by supporting somebody who epitomizes everything their religion tells them to abhor.

Huge fan of Zappa but he was no philosopher or moral guide. Let's be honest, we can revere his music without making him personally out to be a God. Not saying he was not smart, I would love to hear his commentary today. He did not suffer fools, no way he would like Biden. But Trump? We might be surprised.
