I remember back in the DAZE I have no idea now. Frank Zappa played in Austin, TX. He had been warming up. He then came and sat down by me and we chapped a bit. I asked him about a song he had done, probably "Suzy Creamcheese." I only remember the line "caress me" then. When I asked him about it. He said something to the effect. "I don't remember much of anything." I said, "neither do I" back in the DAZE! I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time!

It's clear that this interview was highly edited. I wonder if the master tapes of what was stated is available anywhere now? I'm sure the insights would be fascinating. The irony is, of course, Zappa did hit the Billboard Hot 100 with two atypical songs: "Dancin' Fool" which reached 45 in 1979, presumably before this interview, and his duet with daughter Moon, "Valley Girl" which reached 32 in 1984. But what is the most disappointing to me is Dr. Demento avoiding a discussion of his specialized edit of a Zappa classic which became known on the Demento Show as "Beepers And Beer."

I met Dr D at Rainbo records in Santa Monica, I had been a fan of the Sunday night show on KMET. That all came to an abrupt halt when KMET suddenly switched to "Elevator Music" overnight. That's when I decided money was the only driving force for 99% of humans, and people would kill their own Mother if it means they would get enough money. Humans are disappointing.

@MrPhineasFreak
@MrPhineasFreak 14 лет назад
@Lalo3001 Well, that isn't quite right. Zappa actually wrote Valley Girl. Moon Unit supplied Frank with the Lyrics, her voice and the idea to the song, but Frank composed the music. Another fact is, that Bobby Brown was hugely successful in Europe. I'm from Germany and even the big mainstream radiostations here still play this song once in a while. (which I think is awful: ...Brian Adams - Bobby Brown - Lady Gaga...) not...enough...space...hang on....

Ive never seen where Zappa actually says he hated British people but England was his first experience with censorship. He did call France hell though...Who wouldn't hate hell. That doesnt mean he was racist. Hating a place and a system doesn't make you racist. It just makes you not want to go back. People are so quick to point the finger and call other people racist these days its pathetic....I think it tells more about the person making the statement then anything.

Define hate?? Webster dictionary says "A: intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury -- B: extreme dislike or antipathy". In my case I have severe dislike AND antipathy for most North-Americans. I don't wanna kill them, that's just silly. Americans are blind to the private banks (The Fed & World Bank), Canadians have a public bank and aren't using it (or even know of it), Quebecers who want to separate don't know the province already acts like a country.
