The autoloader was caught by spall that wasn't going to hit the crew anyway. What saved that T-90M were the spall liners (Barely, as the commander was red). I've noticed little to no difference in shooting Russian tanks than before. If anything, this is a nerf for them since they only have what's in the breach and nothing more
Sorry, all Abrams beyond the 10.3 base model (which also has its own issues, like a baffling round it never used and was replaced before the TURMS round even existed) are really poorly modeled in-game. The armor and spall liner being wrong ARE the issue. Yes, if you run riot and are never shot all top tier MBTs are virtually the same. But we get shot in the game called War Thunder. So if you're shot every X minutes and there's a 10% chance you survive and return fire in an Abrams variant vs 50% in a Russian MBT or modern Leopard 2, then IN AGGREGATE the Abrams is going to do way worse. It means you have to shoot a US team a number of shots equal to 1.11x the number of vehicles but you have to shoot a Russian or German vehicle team equal to 2x the number of vehicles. Imagine having nearly identical stats on paper on all nations except one nation just arbitrarily has 55% of the HP of the other one. That's what is going on here. Yeah you COULD have a good game, but on average the games are worse. The numbers are just example throwaway numbers and I will castrate the first person to get lost in a challenge towards 50% first shot survival as a stat.
Even if Abrams got its spall liners and extra armor, and a properly modeled turret ring, the turret ring weak spot doesn't go away. Don't really see the extra survivability for its peers too much apart from leopard 2A7/Strv 122's though. T-80BVM's and T-90M's tend to die pretty easily for me. I often see allot of Abrams players completely out of position, even more often than players from other nations I play. The tank itself is physically underperforming, but that was never the main issue with the tank IMO...

I swear some 12yo Russian RU-vidr can make a complaint video about the abrams and it’s accepted for a bug reports whilst the rest of us have to gather information directly from the military, cause even Jane’s military magazine “isn’t a credible source”
@@sdkfz234 I mean, to each their own. I prefer my Abrams over the 2A5/A6. The best round of each nation can go through either of our hulls almost anywhere, and neither tank has spall liners in the hull, so I'd rather take the reload and hull handling. The teams though 💀
Had a game where I had to drop the nuke or we lose and my teammate spawned in an IL28 and flew high while I flew low, he died but I dropped the nuke bc of him
@@RhodesianSuperiority Not really. You can blame the US on this one. The only documents they can legally use to build these are for the export variants. Russian bias is documents being released with b.s. inflated numbers, and outright lies like they have been doing for decades to get America to overspend on the military to keep up.
Something about the way this round arcs to the target is very cinematic. Not sure if it's because you switch to a different view as soon as you shoot or what, but it's a cool effect.
