I had tried to bleed my Abs modulator as shown but no pressure at all, the Abs motor sounds good n function but no fluids out when i open up the bleeder nipple...bad pump?
I tried bleeding the Abs modulator but when i turn the bleeder nipple out nothing hapoened...no brake fluids out. I watched your next video how to bleed Abs, the motor sound ok but no pressure at all...
Depends on how tight it is if it was last installed very tight like with an impact you may end up rounding it off with a 12 point as you have less surface area.
Making no promises to anyone but when I did this on a Civic I accidentally spun the distributor lugs. It seemed I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right but when I fiddled about I discovered my distributor lugs are slightly offset so if you're gentle there is only one orientation that will insert. It makes sense really.
I have been working on my 96 Accord LX. I was replacing the clutch. However the steering rack was leaking bad and I had to replace it also. It was a little easier to loosen the power steering lines with the axles out of the way. This video is a great resource for the steering rack replacement.
The high-pressure power steering line is not connected where it is on this video on my 1996 Honda Accord EX. I could see the pressure sensor connected underneath the car, but appears as the connection goes down onto the steering rack. I can feel it, but I cannot see it. I’m not sure how I’m going to get to it so that I can disconnect it because I can’t see it.
Part 1 and part 2 gave me the confidence to do this job on my own without having some else do it for me, I’ve done brake pad rotors jobs in the past but never a captive rotor job… thanks for your videos 👍🏽
Man, I have scoured RU-vid for this year, 1999, and all are either the 3.0 or newer models. Totally different setups. Although yours is a bit earlier it's the same exact setup. Thank you
Question, when starting up the car the first time in the video what is that weird noise? It’s like a vibrating/humming sound. My 97 accord has the same sound and I’m starting to think it might be the ac compressor? Just curious if you ever had that fixed. Thanks
Thanks for the help in the video. When I was changing the switch on my sister in laws 1995 I was having trouble removing the boot the sensor goes in. I tried using pilers to pull on the boot and broke the sensor in the process. After finally getting the new switch in I didn't feel the click you described when placing the boot back over the sensor. Where could I find a replacement connector and boot to slide over the sensor? Its sending information as when the car got up to temp it started flashing, needed a quart of oil and the light has been off since. I just don't want it to wiggle loose from bumpy roads and her not know. I appreciate the help, thanks.
As far as I know that connector isn't available separately as long as it fit in securely it should be fine. If it is excessively loose you can gently push the contacts together with a pair of pliers to get a better fit.
This helps that you sound like my boss in real life. I'm dreading the repair. But thanks to your very detailed steps steps. I should be able to hopefully change mine in my 97
Hands down the best tutorial video I've seen. Clear views and aspects, helpful tips and thorough instructions. I appreciate you very much bro. Literally about to do this on my 94 Accord EX Wagon. Thank you.
***** Stop wasting your brake cleaner...just clean once, after everything is assembled. ***** Throw out these hubs and get yourself the 98-99 Acura CL 4cyl hub ($150) and rotor set, bolts right on and uses same calipers.
