SimRacing content from a SimRacing Shaolin Student.
Since getting into SimRacing around 6 years ago I quickly found that SimRacing not only became a passion of mine but also became an escape. An escape from the fast paced world we live in. I very much see myself as a student in SimRacing. Continuously improving. Striving to do better and drive better today than I did yesterday. There’s something about being able to drive any car at any track at almost any moment in history that you just can’t experience with anything else.

Really? That’s interesting. In terms of handling too? I’m lucky to have a 911 and keep meaning to take it to the Evo triangle in Wales again and then compare it in AC side by side 🤣
@thesimracingshaolinstudent It's the same mate I noticed that when I lost control of my car on a roundabout 🤣 Spoke to a guy who worked on it and they got super accurate data from ginetta as well laser mapping of the uk tracks He said even he can't understand how the physics is calculated 🤣 But he would ring tyre company's for their data even from the 70s
Sure although there’s a lot of other shorts where the camera is pointing straight at it. Let me know if you can’t find them. We can’t put any links in the shorts description anymore. 👍🏻
Absolutely yes. Instead of selecting the DDU to show the dashboard on, SimHub gives you a URL to browse to from the phone. Both the PC and the phone need to be on the same network though 👍🏻
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent installed but I needed to use the configurator to edit the json settings to turn the LEDs on. That works for now although I’d prefer they went across the top without interruption but thats a small thing
I tried these settings exactly, and the game still looks terrible and blurry, I have a 3080ti, I am not criticising your settings but something isn't working for me, could be that there is a bug and meta quest 3 is reverting to low res, no matter what I try. I AM also getting a message in Steam when opening the game stating this is not compatible with your headset, despite me choosing open with Oculus VR.
I installed Crew Chief and half a practice in iRacing stopped working completely. Had to completely remove iRacing and reinstall. Now I’m too scared to even attempt any other services.
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent getting the game to work with steering wheel and everything. it DOES work when testing, well except the gears arent detected, while their inputs are detected outside testing and game
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent logitech g920 set but it doesnt matter. got it refunded. wanted to play just to get experienced with driving, before doing drivers license course
If you use the oculus tray tool instead of the debug tool, you can save profiles for each game which will then load automatically when you boot the corresponding game.
I dont understand why people keep saying you need to wear gloves with alcantara. You know you can wash it right? Alcantara can be restored from gross to brand new with a simple cleaning, i have done it myself. Its not even that hard, just get some fairy soap and a wet microfiber cloth and scrub it. Doing this doesnt damage the alcantara. Dont believe me just watch the many videos online on people restoring alcantara wheels.
There’s several reasons to wear gloves and one of them is to keep the wheel clean. I’d personally rather keep it clean and wear gloves for all of those reasons than spend time washing the wheels 👍🏻
Had the same problem today with my thrustmaster t300. Problem was that i had to re-learn all functions (gas, break, clutch and shifters) in the configuration. After that it worked fine.
What no one is talking about is how do you edit steering wheel assignments for menu navigation. On my G1 23 because it already had endgame presets. It was the X button to accept or move forward through the menu.
Raceroom was a great starting point once i got my wheel. It works well in vr and is very customer friendly. Of course sadly it really needs help with its population but i think we are spread very thin over some very good sims
After 5 years on consoles I upgraded to PC and a DD base. Adjusted quickly to the new hardware but console racing was much more plug and play but you also just got what u go with no mods. Will set mine up like this minus the subscriptions as Im not bougie). Then its onto working my way up the LFM ladder. Thanks!
@@thesimracingshaolinstudent but do you think you can help with the trees and stuff like that because the trees are like straight flat lines, I need help with all of that
