I am Tom. This is just a channel about my life. Being Prepared for Everyday Thing, Fixing Cars, Gardening, My Journey on the Keto/Carnivore diet, and the 2nd Amendment.
I hate your thumbnail. Dude, non-keto and people riding the fence will think you mean something bad against keto. They won't always actually watch the video.
Here's what you need to do : go to the grocery store at the beginning of every month (the 1st-3rd) and buy two 10lb rolls of 70-30 ground beef get a sharp knife and a box of sandwich baggies. you're going to cut the roll with the wrapper on into seconds (around 12-14 sections) make sure the sections are small enough to fit in the sandwich bag and be closed/zipped up. bag each round slice (you can cut them as big or as thin as you please (thinner pieces are great for making patties/larger pieces are good for ground beef chunks for taco meat or just eat in a bowl. freeze them !
@@frugalprepper you don't need to eat that much. adding butter will help with keeping you satiated and less hungry on smaller amounts. the most you're going to spend on 3 10lb rolls is 70 $100 at most. if 3 rolls can't get you through a month then you might be doing something wrong or you're eating way too much. Including salt to your diet and plenty of water too will fill you up and keep you eating less and becoming hungry. I'll eat 1 and 1/2 pound slices of ground beef with two servings of real butter and some salt, add mustard to it in a bowl and chow down and it keeps me satiated for half of the day, sometimes the entire day.
@@frugalprepper need I forgot to mention : you need to cut the slices into half pound or 1 lb slices. you only need to eat that much per serving to make carnivore successful.
I'm 73 and I don't get sick. (Praise GOD!) I take Daily: 8K IU of Vit D3 Plus 2K mg of Vit C K2 50mg Zincw/copper 300mcg Vit. K2 Potassium 500 mg (approx.)
@@frugalprepper That is great news. But not everyone has that as their blood work results. Most people have under 30 as a result of their blood work. And it's not crap, even carnivore doctors say, take it if you need it. Many folks don't eat organ meat, so can still be low in these vitamins. Just because you don't need it, and many carnivores don't need it, some folks certainly do.
BTW my D3 was at 130 too, but my doctor insisted I reduce it to 100. I am fine with that since anything at, or above, 100 will prevent viruses in a normally healthy person. Mine stands and is holding at 117.

Your first statement is false, you can cure type 2 diabetes. The problem is, you broke the system. Now as you eliminate the cause, you are slowly becoming insulin sensitive. We are supposed to be. Carbs are not ideal. Look at what you are dealing with. It kills. Glad you are aware of the consequences of carbs, sugar and seed oils
Most MD's don't seem to understand that Insluin is the counterbalance of sugar. They get that part! The part most don't seem to get is minus sugar works a hell of a lot better than plus insulin!
I've found that pitting in areas that don't see combustion pressure can be filled with BJ Weld and sanded flat and did this on many aluminum heads.Never had a comeback.
Yeah I was tired of this one. If it had been a customer, I would have said it was time for the scrap yard, but it is my son, so he is running again for now.
So I used to get really sick, and it took 3 weeks to get over it. This video was made when I was feeling my worst this time, and I got pretty much over it by the following evening. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4tGTe691Ua8.htmlsi=XDkVQ_9zXTY76bqE
The deck on the block can also warp, but it is far less likely to warp or warp as much. I tested mine in the previous video and it was well within spec. In fact all of the heads I have done in my life, I have never had a deck warp to where it is out of spec. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7v6NyOtC2DQ.html
@@frugalprepper Doctors discovered the hole in her heart unexpectedly during scans after the event; however, her stroke is not related to this condition. In another video, she explained that her physicians believe she had recently taken an airplane trip just hours before the stroke occurred. She was returning home and had been following a high-fat diet at the time. The prolonged sitting during the flight likely led to clotting in one of her legs, which ultimately triggered the stroke once she arrived home. half information is dangerous.
I don't fly. I have a CAC Score of 0, My CTA scan show no blockages, and I have had ultrasounds of my arteries that showed no blockages. Fat does not cause blockages.
@@frugalprepper you didn't have blockage even when you were eating junk food.thats called genetics.even when you eating ton of fat,its not leading cardiovascular issues you should thank your genetics.
Don't live by other people's rules‼️ I try to stick with OMAD, mostly carnivore but I do have bites of healthy (rarely, also unhealthy) carbs... Otherwise, it's really boring.😑
Never seen your channel before, but just seeing people getting their health back from what seems to be bad? is heart warming to see. I'm suffering from Crohn's and the Carnivore Diet has helped me immensely. Stay Healthy, or try to as best as you can - you seem to be doing the best that you can with the cards dealt, you got this!
I haven't had a sore throat in eighteen years. The stricter I am, the better I feel. I'm sixty nine now. I haven't had antibiotics since I was a kid. They worked great when I was bit by a cat and got an infection on my hand.
It is not fake, but when you don't eat lots of sugar you don't pee it out so you don't need to replenish it. Why do oranges have so much Vitamin C, because they are also high in sugar.
@@frugalprepper I don't consume sugar, and I firmly believe that no one should. Instead, I prioritize foods rich in vitamin C, such as green peas, bell peppers, and berries. This approach has proven incredibly effective for me; I haven't had a seasonal cold or flu in the last 4-5 years. Remarkably, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, I remained healthy without needing a vaccine.
It’s the protein that keeps you satiated. I’m on a whole food, plant-based diet that consists of 50% carbs and 50% protein. I consume nearly 190 grams of protein per day because I work out regularly. One morning meal keeps me full and energized all the way until dinner in the evening.
@@frugalprepper blahaha I’ve built impressive amout of muscle entirely on a plant-based diet. If there were no protein in plants, I’d be nothing but skin and bone by now, and there certainly wouldn’t be thousands of other plant-based bodybuilders out there proving it’s possible. Your theories are purely speculative and rooted in misinformation. If you’re going to make claims, back them up with legitimate scientific research. The data is crystal clear-there are abundant sources of plant-based protein, such as seitan, tofu, soya chunks, legumes, lentils, and pea protein. It’s time to step out of that echo chamber and face the facts.

I feel the same. I'm mostly eating meat, but i have some low carb fruits. And vegetables that are fruits. That helps me stay on the deit more, i think its more important for it to be manageable than anything else. But getting sick is normal, its a part of life, no diet could prevent it.
Careful taking antibiotics, they destroy your gut health. A cold is natural no matter what the diet. Cold and sinus pills, lozenges, liquids and a sauna.
here's a crazy concept. stop listening to youtube quacks. get the fat and meat out of your diet. USE LOGIC. keep doing the same thing and wondering why you never get better.
you feel like shit because youre eating shit food (pork, chicken) its common for people to feel worse eating mainly chicken and pork ground beef is cheap, buy it in bulk and when on sale carbs wont help you2
Less than 60 gr. of carbs for folks who have been eating loads of them for years is hard. Reaching and maintaining the 30 gr. mark requires effort, dedication and focus. Yes once the body is fat adapted & you do your food group ratio right it becomes much easier.
eat fruit and honey for carbs, try to keep it around 100g carbs, or less. also eat organ meat, its nutrient dense, and it can be cheaper than muscle meat. raw pasture raised egg yolks and raw milk is great if u can get it. your sickness could be unrelated to the diet. your health was compromised prior to the diet so i wouldnt attribute it to that. avoid antibiotics.
I perform exceptionally well at the gym when fueled by carbs. Carbohydrates are a quick and efficient source of energy, a fact that any athlete will attest to.
I fee great taking 5-10 mile walk and working on thing all day. I never run out of energy. And I only eat once perday, I am like the energizer bunny these days.
I used to barely be able to get to the coffee pot in the mornings... I know wake up and take a 2 mile walk (or longer on weekends) before anything else. I am pretty sure it is not placebo.
@frugalprepper Antibiotics for a sore throat. That was popular in the sixties and seventies. Nowadays, there's probably a sh0t for it. It's all good...
you lost weight because you ate less calories. simple as that. constipation isn't correlated by sodium intake lol. you get constipated on carnivore because you have 0 fiber. All of the protein amino acids except lysine and leucine can be used by the body to make glucose. comment section is wild.
I walk 5 miles a day. I don't shower everyday, usually every 2 or 3 days. Because of the walking, I sweat a good bit, and I really need deodorant. I started the Carnivore diet, and after a couple of weeks, I noticed that I didn't need deodorant anymore. Apparently my sweat was clean, since I stop eating foods with all the bs in them. Money has been a bit tight, so I started eating carbs again, and now I need deodorant again. smh That just tells you eating meat is a great deal more clean for the body, then most anything else. Because you aren't sweating out all the bs, you skin clears up, and the body heals. I will soon be back on Carnivore, I don't fear carbs, and won't remove them completely, because I do like cookies, and such, but my 90% of my diet will be meat. I exercise everyday, and at the ideal weight for my height. My body is healthy, so I feel that I can handle some snacks without much issue.
@@frugalprepper YOU NEED MORE THAN REDMONDS if you ever were on antacids or had stomach issues, high chance your gut has shit ability to absorb magnesium and potassium. and if you drink coffee or did, your electrolytes might be WAY out of whack. Specifically, look at magnesium, and start supplementing with it immediately. it's all about stomach PH, and are you making enough acid to dissolves the electrolytes out of what you are eating.
You are a lot like my friend who was a former vegan. He's thriving on a meat based diet with eggs, and low carb veggies. Been doing it over a year and it looking amazing. I have had to cut back on beef as well due to cost. Iguana, duck and chicken make up the difference. Even shrimp is cheaper than ground beef. I used to get a lot of sore throats as a kid but none while on the carnivore diet. Liver has always been my go to for colds. When I got sick a couple of months ago it was headache, sinus and gone in 3 days. Cholesterol is your best defense to viruses!!
@@frugalprepper Idonno, higher fuel prices means everything cost more. Hurricane, entire cities under water and half the state with no electricity home totally destroyed no running water. Now double the price of everything and might be no job to go back to. Insurance companies are already denying claims and banks that haven't reopened yet may go under!
I was healthier on carnivore. 54 yr old female in California. Lost 65 lbs on carnivore-ish and went heavy fatty meat and anything else I want in 2024 (retired!), but I’ve been really really sick 3x this year. Usually right before I’m scheduled for a trip out of state. Looking forward to returning to carnivore with very few veg in 2025.
@@Cervin_Suisse I retired and choose to enjoy sangria in the evenings to celebrate, and my weight is maintaining, so I’m celebrating the year with more freedom. I am still eating one or more carnivore meals each day (bacon & eggs every breakfast, hamburger or steak or chicken at dinner) but I’m also living in the moment and having foods that I have always enjoyed. I’ll be reducing the sangria and corporate enjoyable foods to once a month or less starting 2025. I would love to lose another 30-40 lbs and get down to a healthy light old lady maintenance weight and try to keep this body functioning as well as possible into my 90’s.
that's weird. you do realize sugar is running through your veins 24/7, right? so based on your flawed logic you should be inflamed for eternity. stop blaming sugar for your bad diet. sorry but a doughnut, candy bar, ice cream, etc arent "sugar". They are 50% FAT!!!!!!!!!!
Very little sugar is running through you veins at any time. You body wil run primarily on ketones when you eat low sugar. It is not the butter on you bread it is the bread under your butter that is really bad for you.
@@frugalprepper bro what are you talking about? you are OBESE. if fat was so slimming why arent you shredded? show me ONE obese person on earth that got obese without eating meat, animal fat or oil. I can show you MILLIONS of obese people eating your so called slimming fat and meat.
I wish I would have seen this sooner in that I've been on the fence of maybe searching for a new doctor. When you said your doctor dropped you for being a non-compliant patient, even though you were actually getting better and heeling, I'm now going to make the switch. My last visit my doctor told me he could no longer 'care' for me if I don't take a statin as I don't appear to be serious about getting healthy. My cholesterol is on the low side. I have high blood pressure and high A1C and high fasting blood sugar. I quit the metformin that I was on for 2 years as my numbers never went down. I go to the gym M-F for 2 hours each day, I know I was losing strength. When I stopped the metformin I started taking insulin and even though I gave up pasta, milk, and honey my A1C is still high. What I really didn't like was my doctor said people that are on high blood pressure medications and have high sugar are put on a statin. My cholesterol is low. How is that tailored to me? Still not sure if I will go carnivore, but I am now doing keto with intermediate fasting. BTW the ace inhibitor I'm on, works great! Consistently 115/70 compared to 160/100 without medication. So there is merit to the pharm industry, but I don't think the sugar drugs work, at least they haven't worked for me.
How can they legally buy a car and get a drivers license.? Do they have insurance on the vehicles? 😢😢😢. I wonder if they were required to take any type of written test and a driving test ? Texas, has strong laws ! Sounds like they just buy a car with the taxpayers $$$$ and drive it. 😢😢😢
I just acquired one of these as a curb find. It turns over freely but the fuel tank is disconnected. Going to be a winter project. Haven't started looking for information yet. Need to fix the pull starter, get the fuel tank hooked up and clean the carb. Wish me luck.
