Inside Real Estate Photography is a RU-vid channel and online community dedicated to the field of real estate photography. We explore different approaches to real estate photography in the form of video tutorials and gear discussions that can help us do our job well and more efficiently. We don’t just stop at photography either; we get in-depth on video production, drone photography/video and beyond. There’s no part of the real estate photography universe that’s off the table.
The ultimate goal here is creating a community of real estate photographers that can share and learn from each other. Our wish is that our content here will merely serve as a catalyst to bring us all together and get the conversation going with the hope that we may all help each other become better photographers and business people. We know that you have something valuable to add to and gain here and we hope you will take an active role in this with us so that we may all learn something from each other!
If I took the photos without connecting it to Matterport, does it mean that the photos I took are not useful anymore? I tend to edit the photos prior to uploading online.
None of this worked for me. I have DJI Air 3. Some of your settings are not available to me. However, all other settings were the same. My videos were Damn Near white at video so I had to change back auto. I did not get the 5 layers of pics Lightroom screen was very different, no library tab, no import button. Cntrl N did not allow naming, instead it opened a new browser window
Mike...do you have a video/instruction that goes over photographing large parcels of property (ie. rural) that would be composited together to overlay property lines?? I hope my question makes sense. I live/work in the mountains and have to work around many trees and the 400' limit adds to the difficulty factor. TIA
This is indeed a pool of knowledge, Thank you @insiderealestatephotography. I recently relocated to Canada and looking to start a Photography business in real estate. My best tip was about pricing. Stay blessed.
If you are considering real estate photography and videography, which will be a better first? A7SIII or FX3? I'll like to know the reason behind your answers. Thanks
@@IyanuWole for real estate you’re better off is a7siii. They are both essentially the same camera but the a7siii is cheaper. You won’t really be using any of the extra features of the fx3 for real estate shoots.
Hey Mike! First I'd like to compliment you for your excellent videos. You've helped a great many of us! I was wondering if I might coax you into posting your video you made for instructing agents on Spiro. It would be a big help. Thanks!
Jesus H Christ how the hell has nobody talked about this before. This is game changer. I always looked at that option on my camera like wtf will i ever use this for. Well duh. You just showed me the meaning of life
I have a Sony A74. For some reason when I go to set a custom button for 'Create New Folder' the 'File' option is not there. Would have been really useful too.
You've changed my life forever. I've been doing REP for 4 years now and have always spent 20 minutes organizing my photos back at the office. You're much smarter than me. LOL THANKS!
Dude!! Great tip!! I have been using folders for each shoot for a while, and I have all my custom settings, but never thought of setting custom button for this.... Just changed that now! Thanks for another great tip!!
As a hobby photographer who likes to learn new techniques, I found this video really well explained and demonstrated. The best I have found on RU-vid. Thanks.
Hi Mike, I hope this finds you wel. There are a lot of properties here in Austin that have ADU units in addition to the main house. Do you charge extra for another structure on lot? How do you work that?
Hey brother. Great video. So it’s been a few years since you posted this. Did you have any issues after this? Should I get it for my real estate photography business? and what lens do you recommend to use outside and inside without getting any glare?
I did some shoots where Tv is required to be kept ON as its a part of an Audio Visual Solution the company offers. Without additional lights I did the shoots and the either the Room looks under exposed or if I boost the ISO or lower the aperture to include more light then the room looks well lit.... But the TV content is blown out with bright hues appearing at the edge of the TV. Any solution to shoot at such situations?

Does anyone know where to find the drive mode equivalent on a Nikon D750 to be able to shoot the 5 images in varying exposure? Is the Nikon capable of doing this?
Thanks for the video Mike. I noticed that your single ambient frame as well as your flash frames are not Raw but Jpegs. Is that intentional? if so how come?
