I have a print on my wall of a shot I took back in the '70s on Kodak Aerochrome colour slide film, of a friend walking past a neon sign at night. Because of the slow shutter speed, he showed up as a ghostly shadow in front of the eerie green sign (which was in reality red.) Lovely stuff, I wish it was still available.

Encouragement is the key to getting people to try something new, its the difference between only using one film developer because someone told you so to using many film developer and having options depending on what you want your negatives to look like. Encouragement is also the key to trying new films compared to just using the one you always use! Hi great video, I've owned my 50e a couple of years now and love using it. I have the battery grip attached most of the time. I use rechargeable batteries. There is a learning curve with 50e. The eye focus works fine for me, and I'm a glasses wearer, I did plenty of calibration, so my 50e knows my eyes accurately and easily. I don't agree with your closing comments I have no problems with my 50e, I'm gentle with all my film cameras, the eye assist focusing and depth of field (which you didn't mention) assist I find superb, it's best to calibrate a few times to train the system to accurately 'see' your eyes. Of course others may differ in their views of the 50E and that's fine. But I'm one happy user of the Canon 50E/Elan. Many thanks for this video Regards Rob (UK)

Great stuff in my opinion. Very compensating, very good for pushing. You definetely get more speed out of films then with Rodinal, i guess full Box speed. I pushed HP-5 to 3200 and it looks fantastic! Though i have to say, that one roll of the 510 negatives looks super dreamy and otherworldy (hp-5 in 1+100).
