Valheim Ashlands - The Vineyard, Switching Out Mead For Wine?

Taking up a new farming profession with ashlands, setting up rows of vines to get those sweet grapes! Having some fun with the new ashlands build pieces and testing out how farming grapes and growing vines works, so had to make a small vineyard in the plains :D

Thank you! No, I do not want any over-excited Lox visiting! :D Although... when I think about it, they would be great at squishing the grapes... hmmm, maybe I need to make an addon to the vineyard ;D

Great farm, i will copy it over the weekend :), and to add to the discussions in the comments my observation. When installing mod plantanything, i noticed a timer for each plant when it should grow up/respawn. And i have a strong suspicion that respawn rate for wines is area based, not per one plant. Say two plants 10m from yeach other spawn in regular 4hrs interval. And 4 plants each 2m apart spawn grapes only on two plants in 4hrs. It takes 8hrs to get grapes on all four. So thats my theory, still it needs a lot of observation

Thank you and good luck with your farm! It was fun to build :) interesting observation there too. I will keep that in mind when doing some more testing. Something seems off and what you say sort of fits with that so could be!

Looks like 1m space between the backside of racks 3m space between the faces. And 2m side to side.

There is 4m between the faces, the other numbers are correct :)

@@CruelViper88 Good to know! I need to experiment more with this as its seems a lot of vines go without any grapes on them. So gonna test a little to see if there is a way to increase this output.

Any tips on planting these? Mine are very picky. Either “need more space to grow” if I put them next to a wall, or “needs a wall nearby” if I try to give them a bit of space from the wall :(

What I found is if you snap a 1m beam to the wall and use the end point of that as a measure of length from wall it should be ok. If you are planting them along a whole wall, you need more space between them, maybe 2m of open space. If there are openings in the wall or like I did in the vineyard with the dividers, then around 1m. And the open space it needs are in a half circle around it out from wall.

Are the vines spawning in like they’re supposed to? Or are the berries still bugged? I’m lucky to get like 6 berries now. I used to get a bunch, now they barely spawn??

when I log in, it takes a minute until all the grapes pop back in but that seems to work. But I have noticed that a lot of vines are without grapes. Have not testet to see if thats because I'm just using those 1m dividers or if it would be more consistent with 2m walls, or if it should be higher than 2x.

You have to imagine the wine as there are no ways to make it in game. The point was the vineyard.

@@just5moremins Sorry thought there was a new recipe for Wine in this new biome - maybe Deep North but we will be dead before it's released

@@nohablas8679 Unfortunately no wine yet :) When I first saw the vines with grapes I was hopeing.. but as you say, game is not done yet so who knows! :D If nothing else Im sure someone will do a mod for it, hehe
