20:18 also about the smoked cheese OSCYPEK, the chees ein shop is made from cow milk factory made, the real moutain cheese is more expensive its yellow/brown in color from smoke and its made from sheep milk.
Hi Andrew, this video was pretty early on in our RU-vid journey and we are learning as we go. We hope we have improved since then. We hope you still found some tips helpful and if you watch any of our new videos hopefully they are better. Thank you for advice though!
"Paczki" means parcels, it's no sodifficult to notice the differrence, one "pączek" (pronounced similarly to "poncheck") - you can write it in google and get the pronunciation. Pączki is the plural form and , again the second sound is a nasal "o".
Guys I really enjoyed this video! I like how you explaining everything :) I was looking for some vloga from warsaw as I am going there next month and found your channel.. will definitely stay with you!
The classic paczki (pronounce ponchki, not pachki because the latter means boxes) are with the rose jam, the best for me are those from Blikle. But congrats for your channel, great job! You made me feel so hungry for a good cup of barszcz, the fermented beetroot one. It's the flavour of my childhood!
Blikle is overhyped IMO, Cukiernia Pawłowicz (aka "pączki z Chmielnej") they visited is one of the best places you can go. There is also "Pracownia Cukiernicza Zagodziński", which consistently ranks #1 every Fat Thursday, but I didn't have a chance to visit them yet.
@@MikrySoft Zagodzinski is overhyped as well, there are always kilometrical lines just to get a paczek on Fat thursday there. They got a lot of popularity thanks to the media. I think in my very very personal opinion that an average paczek in Poland is good almost everywhere, and our average is much better than even the best donut in america. I hope that you agree. 🙂
You did well by not eating plastic-packed Oscypek in Warsaw:D Best ones are fresh and these could be found in the south (cities like Kraków, Zakopane and mountains region in general). They can be eaten raw, but also grilled with cranberry jam/sauce. Also when you have a chance then do try kiełbasa! So delicious, especially grilled with fresh bread <3
Lovly that you enjoy "my" town :). But as a generations Warsaw Pol I will give you good advise: If you want to gein our full respect, do not call our naigbers Nazis and Soviets. Study the maps :) XO
So proud of you guys for eating all that in one day 😅🎉🇵🇱🥟🥟🥟 and the accent is so good 👍😃 the chz eat warmed up with cranberry jam from street sellers rather than cold from the shop. Also you have got to try Zapiekanka, pickled cucumber soup, poppy sweet bun, blueberry bun, white berries, and sour cherries if you find a fruit market. And chocolate from Wedel or Wawel with a recipe is from like 1900
