I don't think Jesus was putting her on a pedestal for everyone. From what I've surmised, Jesus was specifically telling John to take care of His mother. In the Jewish customs, a son was required to care for his parents when they could no longer care for themselves. Jesus told Mary to treat John as her son, He also told John to treat Mary as his mother. It was not an act of exalting Mary as some kind of deity or object to be worshipped. It was actually just a son during His last hours asking His close friend to look after His mother.

This is so relatable. You get angry with God because you feel he is ignoring your suffering and despite loving him and doing what you can he still seems to do nothing. But we have to help ourselves too. Thanks for sharing your testimony 🙏 God bless you
As a sort-of protestant (currently in rcia) I can say that Mary is probably THE biggest barrier to other christians entering the church. Ultimately, it stems from a lack of belief in true communion of the saints; particularly, those saints that have gone to heaven. There is a belief that to contact anyone that has passed on in any way is wrong. The other issue is sola scriptura. I’ve since lost the sola scriptura belief. I’m slowly getting used to the communion of the saints. When you’re only prayer is to God for your entire life, expanding that to include the saints takes some getting used to.

The Bible tells us to pray to God in Jesus name only..NEVER to Mary or anyone else. Praying to anyone else is simply idolatry. Please Stop believing false doctrine and lies. The word for “one” meant primary, not only. We pray to Mary asking for her to pray to God for us, the same as we do those around us, we’re not asking for her to heal. The main prayer to Mary, the Hail Mary, echoes words of scripture from the angel Gabriel and Mary’s cousin Elizabeth, then asks for Mary to pray for us. That’s all we’re doing in praying to Mary, asking for her intercession, in the same way we would to do our brothers and sisters on earth.
Hitler is definitely not in heaven, at best he’s in purgatory, even if he did regret his sins then still he would need to pay the price for doing them, he will probably spend in purgatory thousands if not millions of years but one day he will come to heaven.
