I grew up in PS, i want to move back (we're now in Portland OR) but my husband brought up worries of water due to climate change. I told him there is tons of water there. I know the water runs very deep and plentiful, so this was great information to hear. Now i just have to worry about the cost of utilities cos AC is not cheap, i remember my dad always saying how high the bills were, specifically AC.
The nice part about Idyllwild is that it’s in California, so you don’t run into too many ignorant magas there. So many ppl send their kids or go with families from all over CA to summer camps there, so that town has built up a nice progressive atmosphere which is unique for a mountain town. ❤
You lovely ladies had a great day and thanks for the tour. That antique mall looked sweet. I remember seeing a few years ago Leo’s house is available for short term rental, do u guys know if that is still true ?
Thank you for the detailed update on the cost of living in Palm Desert. Searching around and seeing several locations for Eisenhower Medical Center. Which one is your favorite? Would you recommend it as the best for seniors on Medicare? Thank you.
Anybody thinking of reaching out to Brandy after watching one or 20 of her videos, PLEASE DO! She was prompt and quick to respond to a last minute request of help to talk about a property. Even though we haven't worked together yet, (not because of her, because of us) she was very willing to give us some amazing information and nuggets to help our search as well as be a source in the future. We definitely will will be working with her in the future, and find a way to work with her on one of our property searches. Thank you Brandy for the last minute help!
I lived literally at the state park when I was in high school my stepdad was the chief ranger there and they had houses that the families lived in so it was just a five minute walk into town. Lots of good memories.
Now I don't want to be wrong, but the talented Jenna Ortega was born in Palm Desert. She is an actress, professional dancer and now also a successful writer. She is currently one of the most requested actresses in Hollywood and her book It's All Love has become a best seller. We will hear about her in the future and in any case there must be good air in Palm Desert 🙂
I've read there are a few problems in parts of Arizona with a car window sometimes becoming heat-glued to the door by its rubber seal. Are there any cities in Coachella Valley this might occur.
I’ve never heard of that. I have an 11 year old car that’s rarely seen a garage or shade and the rubber trim on my car has deteriorated over time but has never melted.
great video and tour, looks like a wonderful day there, beautiful sky. As far as the nightlife you mentioned, I have heard of a couple cool tiki bars there I want to check out sometime🏝️🗿😎
Hi Brandy, I am moving to La Quinta in about 5 weeks. I would like to live near the Public Works yard a little east of downtown. Are there any neighborhoods to try and avoid in La Quinta?
What a wonderful tour of downtown Palm Springs by a lovely woman full of spirit. Thank you for guiding us and sharing your memories of growing up there. You really brought it to life talking about the history and recommending restaurants and night clubs. Love the statues of Lucille Ball and Marilyn Monroe.
We've been experiencing June Gloom, and I was just recovering from May Grey. I have to find a place out there in your area. At least for May & June. Thanks for the video, Brandy! This was really nice and greatly appreciated!!🌞
How about gardening? Are there any restrictions on water or what/where you can grow things? I just like to grow my own veg and fruit, not trees or anything like that; I notice there are not many power lines in the area, all underground, it seems!
Some of the older areas still have power lines - for instance South Palm Desert and La Quinta has many above ground power lines. We don’t have many concerns about water out here however, it’s always a good idea to be cautious with water consumption anywhere you are. Be sure to check out my video about water in the desert. It’s very informative ;)
I've watched one or two of your videos before this so I know you're good. You amaze me in that you provide relevant information I am in need of. There is always more to ask - who knows - I have the feeling you are the right person to ask - stay tuned ...
Plans to clear cut the forest and bulldoze flat more land for development of multistory condos is moving forward. Migrant tent housing is planed for summer
Although I agree however per constitutional rights, sellers should have full authority to do as they please with their property. The city where the home is located needs to enforce rules so things don’t get out of hand which our cities are.
@@BrandyValentineRealEstate true but there are all kinds of legal restrictions on uses of property starting with basic zoning codes. As well as lending rules and tax laws. ( first home second home vacation home etc. One big problem for everyone is the vacation rental market which has wreaked havoc on home pricing in places like Palm Springs Sheol also causing quality of life issues for residents
So grateful for most rainfall in So Cal in dozens of years! My Moms lives in Rancho Mirage so of course always concerned, but luv know I know the full story finally
If you're a Trumper who likes living in a town where you can't tell one development from another and you like overpriced restaurants and boutiques, Palm Desert is for you.
Desert Princess is difficult to get a loan for a condo because they allow short term rentals. The biggest difference between the two is Desert Princess is on lease land and La Quinta is not. La Quinta is more expensive for that reason, however, not THAT much more expensive. Comes down to what's most important to you; owning the land or not?
@@BrandyValentineRealEstate Thanks for reply, no loan needed it will be a cash deal, its a condo for my sister and she loves Desert Princess but now she heard its bad due to wind blowing sand, I told her sand and wind are every where in the valley, is Palm Desert La Quinta less windy and less sand?
@@acelarson1872 Yes! Definitely. The further South you go the less wind and dust, but just like you said everywhere will experience both, however Desert Princess is one of the worst communities for all that dust and wind. 😷🌬
Your overview on Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and Indio is invaluable. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Hope one day to see a bio on your life experiences and discussing the cities you have lived in.
Thanks for the tour around Palm Desert. I grew up there and went to PDHS. I lived in a house on Shadow Mtn. Drive, west of hwy 74 and used to play in that desert near the mountain towards the end of your video. The only thing that would have made your video better is ending it with a yummy double cheeseburger from Keedy’s. 😋
