Hello , i would like your recommendation i am currently looking to buy a custom pc should i buy ryzen 7 5700x3d or the new gen ryzen 5 7600x with a rx 7900 gre i want full performance and i will consider to upgrade after a few years
Well, i usually only deal with old/cheap PC's, newest ryzen i have is my 1700x :) so i don't know much about the more recent stuff, and what you should get always depends on the price. I would get the best deal you can find in your country.
Hello, Friend I am a subscriber of yours. I like your videos cause they give me ideas to fix and tinker with old equipment. Although I am seeing that your views these days are very low . I will recommend you to use better video tags . I hope you start to get better views. Thanks for creating these videos.
Thank you, nice to hear somebody likes these videos. When i do repairs that are generally less documented, i make videos about them. That often means i cover very niche topics, which means almost no views sometimes, and i pack them with as much info as i can rather than focus on entertainment value, which means a lot of people stop watching the video early, which hurts performance in algorithm. Also my commentary is often called "robotic" and monotonous, which i can understand why. I try to add relevant tags but i don't want to falsely tag things that are popular but not actually covered in the video. What specific tags would you suggest adding to this video?
First time i thought about trying this was nexus 7 (2012) tablet years ago. Didn't have diamond wire or proper heating platform with suction. Ended up buying a complete display assembly.
Yes, i think i tried that once. It won't go all the way in the pcie slot because of the case so it's sketchy and display output locations may cause issues, but i think it can be made work.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I will try my first glass only replacement very soon :) Without propper tools also haha, but I figure if I want to learn...and anyway, it will also make it easier if I decide to get the right tools one day
Glad to hear this is of some use to someone! I made a video about this since i can't find much detailed videos about glass-only repair, especially in english... i think at least in part that may be because only-glass repair is so time-consuming doing this professionally in many "first-world" countries is not worth it. So even if the display is fine it is thrown away in repair because the time spent on it by the technician is too expensive :( I just want to fix stuff and not throw repairable things away.
@@optimallyobscureperformanc6264 Thanks for your reply. I'm motivated by the same things, but also think that it might be a feasable way to make some money. I think it depends on a few factors!! I'll keep you updated on how it goes :)
@@TheKoodus For sure you can make money, but when spent time is factored in, probably not very easy. It would always help to have a larger batch of same phone model for efficiency. Are you going to replace Oled or LCD glasses? I finally got another video edited specifically about LCD's, been procrastinating for months on these since editing sucks: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_RInTxVD0Gs.html
Hello.First very great video.I have an hp compaq elite 8000sff. I wanna install it rx460 oem gpu but its not low profile. How can i install that gpu in that case ? Will u help
Unfortunately it is not possible to fit complete instructions of this process into a short, so yes, it is kinda useless :) i will post a full video of only-glass repair later.
Hi, I note from your description that you said you installed I5? The video show x3440 Xeon? Also how much ram did you finally install? As apparently 32gb can be installed Thanks
Fir this video, yes. I have other videos where i bring the video output cleanly to the back of the case, like this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rLQeRVizRA.html
I haven't yet tried to install non-mac GPU's but i think to have the boot screen you have to have a specifically mac-flashed BIOS on the card. I've been thinking trying Opencore bootloader on a real mac (to get some sort of a bootscreen on non-mac GPU) if i will at some point try upgrading a mac GPU. Not sure how well that would work though.
With frame usually means that the screen is pre-attached to a frame, so no need to glue the screen to your old frame yourself. No frame means you'll have to extract the old frame (detach broken screen from it) and glue the new screen to the old frame. Sometimes, though, "with frame" can also just mean that it comes with the thin plastic bezel around the screen, so check the listing carefully before ordering a screen.
@@optimallyobscureperformanc6264do new screen + new frame has better consistent gluing since it has been done with machine? Or it just doesn't have any significant difference? If I buy new screen with attached new frame, do I need to transfer all components from old frame to new frame?
@@firdauszainudin7118 well, usually when you order with frame, it is well glued, without frame depends how well you glue it to the frame. Yes, if you get the screen with frame it usually doesn't come with other components so you will have to transfer them from the old frame.
@@optimallyobscureperformanc6264 Thank you very much Sir for the reply. Highly appreciated. I think I will purchase a frameless screen since my old frame is still ok & the risk of damaging component such as riben/cable is higher during the transfer. 👍👍👍 Maybe in the next video you could address the power button issue of Poco F3 too, if you don't mind.
I actually have a Lenovo ThinkCentre and I recently decided to buy a Ryzen 5600g to build a new PC, but now I watch these videos and I regret it a little since I spent more money than I had planned and maybe I could have kept the Lenovo with an Rx 550 or something like that :(
Well, i built a new PC at the worst time with GPU mining craze (Ryzen 1700x + Vega64), and i totally regret it every time i get a nice budget PC built at a good price. But i guess i had to try building from new parts at least once to see if it's worth it.
Hi i would like to know what updates does this computer would need to run unreal engine. I woul like to know if is possible to update it to be used optimally in 2024.
I think Unreal engine games don't support some older CPU's anymore, so no idea whether this setup with i5-3470 is still supported or not. I can't test since i don't have this PC anymore.
I am losing my faith. The rgb controller is inside the fan and it has to run full speed with its default bearing damage and hitting the case resonance. It is required to solder additional cables beneath the fan hub sticker.
Hey I have the 390 SFF. I don't want to do this kind of modification but I'm looking for a small self powered small for factor GPU that will work with this PC. Also I have the i3 now. Can I upgrade to the i7-2600 CPU?
I have another video with low-profile GPU: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o4ixRLu6CXE.html Haven't tested i7-2600 but i think it probably works
I have hp 656961-001 hp motherbaord it is a small form factor so its not a standard motherboard size so my question will it fit in an atx mid tower? Cuz i really want to upgrade my case
It looks like that mobo is from HP Pro 6300 and very non-standard, won't probably fit in any standard case. Pcie slot and i/o panel locations are flipped compared to standard layout. It sucks that HP did that.
hey brother idk if you still answear questions but im really looking for an answear, i have the Hp Pro 3400 Mt but I did change some things like: the HDD to SSD, 4gb ram ddr3 to a 16gb ram but no GPU, and I was look to get the Geforece Gigabyte GTX 660 2GB OC but the problem is i dont know if its compatible with the pc since i did not change the mother board at all
I think 660 is compatible if your PSU has enough wattage for that. Newer GPU's like 750, and 900 series and from there on are not compatible since they require UEFI bios. 3400MT only has legacy bios.
@@creepydemon8732 same as with newer nvidias, doesn't work unless the card bios has been specifically made to support legacy bios. If it doesn't, you'll get a black screen-though somebody here commented that you can still proceed to boot with spacebar or something, i can't test myself, don't have the PC anymore.
Good for you, i recently tried to unlock bootloader on an LG G4 and found out that the bootloader "unlock service" is no more. That sucks, unlock should never depend on some service they'll cancel. There is a "hack" to essentially achieve bl unlock on G4, i'll have to try that.
This is my pc! I got a i5 2500 and a gt 1070 and 8gb ram, can run tf2, fo4, fonv, battlefield 1, all at 50-60fps. Spent maybe 225-250 total. This is a good pc and im glad i got it
the motherboard of my iMac mid 2010 Intel core i3 is damaged if I replace it with an imac mid 2010 i7 motherboard would it work or not? please help me because I'm desperate thank you very much
If I were you, I would buy a new power supply to avoid adapters that can ruin your system. Those adapters are a fire hazard. When you have the time, buy a new power supply such as an EVGA, Antec, Thermaltake, 80 plus certified.
Sadly these HP motherboards use some weird proprietary power cables, so that isn't really something you can do with ease. I agree though anything that can't use only PCIe bus power (under 75W) is going to be a problem. It's only a 320W PSU in there, too.
My understanding is that molex/sata to pcie 6-pin adapters are fine as long as you don't try to max out the 6-pin power spec, in other words you'll have to remember that sata can deliver less power that a 6-pin, and select a GPU that can work within the limits of the sata power. Also, with sata to 6-pin i prefer 2xsata to 1x6-pin to distribute the load to 2 connectors, should do something to prevent them from melting. In my experience 960 with 120w TDP works fine with 2xsata to 1x6-pin. 320w PSU is also enough for the whole system, i did stress test and measure max consumption with wattage meter. Instead, if you think that converting 1xsata to 2xpcie 8-pin (for example) somehow magically increases your power budget to max amount specified by those 2x pcie 8-pin, and install a Vega64 with 300w TDP (ignoring 320w PSU limit with even lower 12volt rail limit), that's when you'll run into problems, blown PSU's, GPU's, melted sata connectors, melted cables etc. So my point is adapters are entirely fine as long as you remember you are in fact using an adapter and plan power budget accordingly. In other words, understand what you are doing and use common sense. Of course with adapters you can always be unlucky and get a super low-quality one that has a thin wire that will melt easier, even if you are careful. But that is a common problem with all electronics, not specific to this adapter stuff.
Huhuu, I have optiplex 7010 with 275w psu, buut my e3-1240v2 consumes 70watts and my rx580 uses 185 watts, i used the double sate to 6pin connector, In total 255 watts, which is kinda scary bcs it was very close to rated power, I am praying that it won't blow up any time soon😅
man earlier i just purchased that cpu and frick it requires a 14 pin connector for the motherboard and now im left with waiting again but its alr its gonna be a blast because no more bottleneck from a8 7600 rx 570 to i7 3770 <3
Non-standard connectors suck. I haven't case-swapped M92p yet but i have M93p, for that i needed an adapter to use standard PSU, not sure if same adapter would also work with M92p
