Iberia is probably the best ratio quality-price company. Nice service, excelent food, and one of the companies with less accidents. By the way, Iberia was the second most punctual airline in Europe and fifth in the world . It has improved a lot in the last years.
Well the secret is out! This is one of my favourite routes. I’ve taken it 2X’s now in business. Not only is the 787 a phenomenal plane, but the Air Tahiti Nui flight attendants are warm and the service is above any US international carrier in business. It’s not a “flagship” business seat meaning it’s a smaller seat and there are 2 seats on the window. It’s the business seat that AA uses for their domestic trans-continental flight, but it’s a good seat and the service in my opinion makes up for it. The BEST part of the flight are the high end Tahitian rums (which might be served upon request only) but now you know. So enjoy one of my favourite airlines. You’ll love it so much, you’ll want to continue on to Tahiti once you land at LAX. Safe travels ✈️
I flew the same flight in mid April. I had a great experience onboard. Sat in a window seat with the seat next was unoccupied. However at CDG the lounge was closed because of some restructuring due to the Olympic games. I will fly it again if I have the opportunity but better business class seats would be a game changer for them.
The author knew he was going to be flying an older aircraft. Also, never thought anyone would complain about their bedding and their amenities being placed on their seats.
sabena was great airline and had many flights to US but not brussels only jfk lufthansa destroyed beautiful airlines such SWISS AIR today swiss is far behind of swissair and lovely Austrian airlines its sad but true but I must tell you these seats are so uncomfortable
Sad to hear that people somehow expect 'less' of Brussels Airlines (compared to Austrian/Swiss/...). Let's not forget SN is not a 'new' airline, but the successor of Sabena (hence their iata code SN), a legacy carrier founded in 1923 with loads of experience and history (especially in Africa). Great review nonetheless! :)
Whatever the planes are like the staff are truly dreadful. They abandoned me in Madrid, put me (a business class passenger) in a dreadful hotel which didn’t even have a bar, or tea making facilities , just vending machines and the attitude of the staff on the ground and in the air was appalling. You can really tell this is a sister airline of British Airways. Both airlines are a disgrace to their national flags.
This video simply reminds me of how spoiled and entitled we can be! Traveling business class costs, for the plebeian public, a life-savings amount. I know. I am a 75 year old woman planning a trip from Sweden to California to meet with family and friends for the last time in my life. The luxuries of business class are utterly beyond my means. I also understand that paying for a level of service expected from someone for whom flying business class is ordinary is natural, nevertheless this person’s critiques feel excessively petty!

WOW!!!! What a lovely, warm and attentive crew.. Very impressed by the menu too, high quality!! Everything looks so appetizing and fresh!!! Love the Neuhaus box presented to each passenger!!! It’s the small things!!! Unfortunately only used them on Intra-European sectors but after watching this, I would love to try them on long haul, it’s just that they just seem to have quite a limited offer outside of Africa and maybe a couple of North American destinations but on my bucket list for sure!!! Question, we are going to be flying from the states to Lisbon in business class. We will have a long layover in Lisbon. Does business class automatically allow you to use TAPs lounge?
These seats for the price are the worst seats ever !!! I'm tall and feel like the seats are only designed for people much much smaller - anyone bigger, you're in for a real bad & uncomfortable experience and if you're even slightly over weight, watch out as you will undoubtedly feel the squeeze . And believe me, the toilets are just as bad - so small . "All" the seats are facing away from the windows - so you cannot see out !!! also you cannot sit next to you partner or wife or husband, in fact with the noise of the aircraft you'll struggle to talk to them. I genuinely do not recommend this seating or toilet option - certainly not worth the money. Staff and food was good, everything else a total failure !!!
They are! Usually most lounges offer everything complimentary and some offer a few top shelf items for a tiny surcharge but those spaces are usually in the US and few and far between
@thedesignairvideo awesome, thanks.. going to Poland in a couple weeks, I got a 4hr layover in SF and an 8hr layover in Frankfurt.. I hope the SF lounge is as nice as the one shown.
What struck me with your video was how friendly and efficient the cabin crew were. and of course that makes all the difference. One last thing. Can you tell me the name of the backing track being played at the end of the video when you were placing your breakfast order.
I love Austrian Airlines Buisness Class, I have enjoyed it a few times and always top notch, service, food 5 star for me, I always feel happy and content getting of an Austrian Airlines plane.
Have you asked the crew about their permission to film them? Allow me to have my doubts. Are you respecting their rights to privacy ? Are they ok with being shown on a YT video for the entire world to see? It's good to examine their level of service for which you've paid, but what about your level of respect for others?
It’s a good question and of course I check with all crew before showing clear faces. It’s important for me to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable with these films
This really looks like the old business class product from Hawaiian Airlines. But, better appointed. But, Hawaiian is now upgrading to the private suites with the doors.
Loved your video. I was on this flight/cabin with you. You caught me at 6:10. And like you, I had been waiting for the 787. I really enjoyed this flight. Beautiful bird!!
AF has a lot of availability for business class award flights. Just booked tickets to Rome next year with Amex points. Could not get the new airbus A350 though. 300ER and 787-10
