In fact he was the 2nd Vice president of the UGCC. The leader was Paa Grant and the 1st Vice is R. S. Blay 2. J. B. Danquah was not and has never been the one who suggested the name of Ghana. He in fact proposed that the Gold Coast colony if ever granted indepence should be called "Akanland" or "Akanman". The name Nkrumah was suggested by Nkrumah himself a proposal which was agreed upon by the assembly. As of 1948 krumak had established a school named Ghana National College.
