Sounds like I picked the right cable to upgrade from my ancient Hitachi LC-OFC for the KEF LS50s with their metal drivers. Ordered from Kimber's EBay store. Excellent service and price. 4.5m for $240 "used" (or burnt-in;-) Just the full, transparent & natural sound i was hoping for. Which Kimber do you recommend for the Magnepan LRS? FANTASTIC video! I had to break out my wallet after seeing it, and thank you! I have to comment after living with the iPurifier3, the LAN iSilencer and a pair of the ifi USB iSilencers. Why a pair of the USB iSilencers? Well, I felt that I was still missing something, and started researching USB cables... I found some very pricey twin lead USB cables and saw the logic in them, one cable for power and one cable for data that are both terminated at the end point or DAC. But, I did not want to spend $800 for one of these marvels of technology, and then I stumbled upon this... The "Pangea Audio Premier XL Twin Lead USB Cable". Well, Audio Advisor here in Michigan is the distributor for Pangea, and they had a demo for sale at $34! I could not pass that up and bought two. I have a few streamers here, and boy do they deliver, especially with the ifi decrapifiers! I am going to use my newest streamer purchase, the WiiM Ultra, a very affordable streamer that most folks can easily afford. The ifi units, the LAN and USB units took the Ultra to another level, say the $800 streamer range. They really cleaned and opened up the sound. I was using both an Oyaide and generic USB cables, I found the Oyaide to be a bit cleaner sound wise in regards to clarity, for what it is worth. Then I added the Pangea USB cable, but how to power it? I have a WiiM Pro that I was powering with the LHY 5v battery power bank. You can find this LHY unit on AliExpress for around $125, it is the one with the blue Toshiba batteries. I originally used a USB powered connection off of one of my other streamers to power the cable, but it was still lacking to my ear. The LHY power supply did the trick! Do not discount a clean power supply! I dropped direct lines to my AV corner from my main panel, clean power is key! OK, I have the ifi USB iSilencers on both USB cable leads, one at the Ultra, and one at the LHY battery bank. The iPurifier3 is at my ToneWinner AD-1PRE+ DAC/Preamp which feeds the ToneWinner AD-2PRO+ integrated Class A, A/B amplifier. I have had quite a bit of gear through here, and these ToneWinner units keep winning. My buddy has the same gear, and he compares the ToneWinner units to the Mark Levinson gear he has owned in the past. His world, not mine, but I know it has kicked quite a bit of gear out of my house, from Denafrips, PS Audio, Bel Canto, Parasound and others... The ToneWinner gear is staying. The main speakers are the Fyne Audio F500SP, perched upon the SolidSteel tripod raw speaker stands, just an incredible look and sound. Also a pair of Zu Audio DW6 Supremes and a pair of Magnepan LRS+ brining up the rear. I think I have the speakers covered, quality speakers made by independent companies in the US and GB. Not top of the line, but close enough for me. ;-) My point to all of this? These ifi products do work, of course your system will dictate how much. And please, do not discount this Pangea cable and the LHY battery power bank, those two pieces along with the ifi decrapifiers took my system to new levels. You can have one incredible streaming experience on the cheap with the Ultra, ifi, Pangea and LHY unit, under a grand and compete with stand alone streamers in that $2000 range, add a $499 Roon Nucleus One to the Ultra and we are easily in the $2500+ range. What a fantastic time to be in this hobby!

I listened to the Eletrocompaniet integrated amp and that was great! Never had the chance to listen to PS audio gear, so no opinion. Mac gear... had never been impressed with them, they just sound ok. They do look nice.
@@vpconcepts9838 Thank you for posting. I'd been testing numerous amps with my acoustic suspension speaker to hear how they sound to see if they work well together. I had tested a Hegel integrated and was disappointed in the bass output. However, we did hooked it up to the reference H30A and was blown away by the sound. It was 350 watts. I still need more power! But for sound quality, I was extremely impressed!
I own some vintage Mac gear and newer Mac gear. IMO newer Mac gear can’t even compare to the old as standalones. Modern Mac is just a bit too sterile neutral for me. HOWEVER I will say if you mix components, like I’m using a modern Mac tube preamp with a vintage Mac SS amp, then it’s a completely different experience. They just mesh wonderfully together and I’m very happy with that system.

So your video ran across my feed, viewed it, ordered the LAN ISILENCER w no real expectations. About 4 hours of listening in. Streaming an old Serge Gainsbourg then Billie Holiday album - don’t know if the vocal decay has always been there or not but it sounds more defined I guess - cool really. Looking forward to late night w a single malt for the true critical test run. Thanks for the recommendation - I’m not removing this thing.

Hi Paul, thanks for posting videos about your system and talking about it in depth. I have a question... If you had to choose between connecting your Network Streamer/Player with a 5$ - 20$ or something dollar Ethernet cable OR with a capable Wifi connection (5Ghz for example) what would you choose in that situation with a high end playback system? I understand that ethernet cables can carry noise with them from poor power supplies from the router sending the signal physically into the cable or because of the shielding of the cable.. wathever... I only understand it intuitively in a common sense manner myself anyway... not an expert.., hence the reason why iFi sells purifying adapters, I assume. So if I can't yet afford such an adapter, is then wifi a better option since it is not physically connected to the system? I understand that there are very expensive 1000 dollars ethernet cables and I'm sure differences can be heard. Watching a few of your cool videos has convinced me that it is so otherwise you wouldn't have put a system like yours together. Thanks again and cheers !

Nice comparison, All are good but this entirely depends on the individuals age as if they grew up on Vinyl and cassette they will stay with them. Young generation who haven't heard the analogue won't be able to judge; Plus One has to train ones ears to hear the details. Note High frequencies diminishes with age. Sound being analogue so digital has its limitations. Ease of use is Streaming. Record needs work to before starting but very good. Cassette is load and go, Nakamichi sounds great and the silkiness in the music 🎶 cant get it on any other format. Also the reel to reel is fantastic but a lot of preparation before starting to hear. 🏆 Is the humble cassette tape with good speakers 🔊 as final output comes from the analogue speaker only. One should also have a limit to their satisfaction. Thanks.😊
