Do not buy this brand of coconut milk or cream because PETA has reported that they use monkeys as slaves to pick the coconuts. Any brand from Thailand, Malaysia and other asian countries are very abusive to monkeys and use them as slaves. The monkeys are treated very badly and many die of starvation, dehydration and neglect. The monkeys have to pick the coconuts but the dont get to eat it. It's dsipicable abuse. PETA says that coconut milk and other coconut products from countries including the Dominican Republic, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam are free of monkey labor. Do your homework to find out what brands are monkey slavery free.

Intuitive eating didn't work for me because I gained weight and I didn't feel good. I tried to lie to myself that it was okay that at least I was being true to myself but the reality is, I didn't feel good about my body.

I’m so happy for you! I’m in the same boat doing everything and just gaining weight it’s so hard with all the food noise. I want to try this too but I’m afraid of the side effects have you had any?

I do a mix. I count calories but sometimes just give myself a break and eat what I'm craving. My main rule is to not do it all the time and not to eat till I feel sick but until comfortable.

Thanks for sharing. I am almost carnivore plus dessert. I do clean, lower sugar desserts. I just have to have my regular desserts lol so i get it. IMO, doing 2 months STRICT GAPS/LC was VERY gut healing. We slowly have been adding things back in. I still can't do almond flour, but I can do sprouted nuts. I think id everyone heals the gut, they can then see what they can tolerate. Also, fasting and walking regularly seems to outweigh diet for the most part. I see tons of fasters that eat a crappy OMAD daily doing well You should look into Mary Ruddick

Just cuz Saladino doesn’t eat it, doesn’t make it not AB. Low medium high plant toxicities. White rice falls under medium, and so I would have it a few times a week. My goal was not to be dogmatic with the diet, but rather to heal my stomach and I did.

I did intermittent fasting for 5 years but I ended up losing my period and gained weight overall So I quit

My relationship with food was poisoned in part I think to a doctor telling me to eat every 3 to 4h to manage my GERD (gastritis). Every time I felt burning or any craving, I'd eat. I'm now realizing it's BS, I can intermittent fast skipping breakfast and I'm fine. So IE is no good for me. I'm learning not to take food cravings so seriously and choosing instead to respect mealtime. Some of us do better with structure. It's crazy they want to offer the same solution for every one.

I gained SOOOOOOO much weight doing IE. It didn't work for me. I did it for years and I became really unhealthy in my weight gain. At the time I was in an eating disorders group and no one ever said anything about it. If it works for some people, more power to them, but it definitely DIDN'T work for me. I think there is also a component of food addiction/carb addiction and the physiology of how that can factor into our weight and eating. But again, that was never addressed in the IE community.

I know this video is old but thank you for this. My 16 month old is the same way and all he does is breastfeed. He’s my last so it’s emotional even thinking about it. I’m starting weaning on Monday. I will be trying this first. Thank you.

I can’t eat this way . I have to stay strict and timed on my meals and it makes me sad . But I’ll gain weight rapidly & spike glucose like crazy . I’ll bloat etc . I pack on fat sooooo easily it’s CRAZY .

absolutely I had lot of gut issues and I was eating healthy vegetarian so called all greens...now since last month I switched to fruit and meat and some rice and avacado diet and lactose free dairy(I checked when I use full lactose milk I get bloated when lactose free I do not) and I started feeling amazing and I started to get some muscle and no bloating, I used to do lot of fasting but next day I feel better and when I ate greens or lot of wheat again bloating now I fast sometimes and I do animal based!!

I cook differently for my family. I do stay away from veggies and rice because they bloat me. I do feel restricted at time. I was a vegan for a uear and i did lose weight but messed up my gut

I am grateful for your updates because most other Animal Based videos were single men! Making a change like you did is so great, it sounds like you were able to do some healing and can easily keep your protein up while getting enough carbs that make your body happy! We are on our first week of animal based, but my kids will still eat sourdough bread and pasta.

Honestly, I think if I knew I could be attractive to my husband at a heavier weight, I’d be able to relax about it. I know that’s the wrong motivation. But since I haven’t been sure I was attractive to him since early in our marriage, I’ve been constantly driven to try harder. At 42 it’s just getting harder and harder!!!!

I’m in tears watching this. I’m so where you were, although I haven’t been into fitness or dieting as much as you. I started getting into fitness after I had a couple pregnancies with some glucose intolerance, and I LOVED feeling lean and strong! But at 42 nothing is working. I started reading “Intuitive Eating” but I know I cannot possibly psyche myself out to be ok with gaining more weight and letting go of my desire to lose.

Intuitive eating without the Holy Spirit did not work for me. Once I had changed my mindset to honour my body and eat only whole food, this helped me lose the last 10 lbs. I was not happy with 27 body fat. I feel way better fit. I don’t really calling it intuitive eating bc I don’t buy into some of the principles of just accepting being overweight. I’m 130 lbs and 5’4 with muscles. I used God to comfort me rather than food.

Great story ! Thank you. One thing. Paul Saladino’s diet doesn’t have rice or potatoes though 🤔. He recently put a video out there last week how he tried to eat rice again and he didn’t like the way he felt. Do you still eat rice and potatoes on this diet ? Thanks !

He’s a doctor but I also work from home on social media. It was a choice that I made when I had kids I know that I didn’t wanna work outside of the home so I got into RU-vid and network marketing when I started having

FANTASTIC ...I eliminated all grains from my diet in 2011... and salads and some veg cause tons of bloating... almost died from eating store bought salad too... Never again. I only eat cooked food... Chicken, beef, pork... I make my own butter from locally sourced cream... Only greens I eat is seasonal and what i grow in my backyard with zero pesticides/herbicides etc...

I found your 'I Stopped eating veggies' video and resonated totally as my gut health improved soo much when I removed basically all veggies except the fruit ones (cucumbers, tomatoes, zuchinni etc). My question for you as a fellow Latina mama :) is have you kept some carbs in your life? We do white rice weekly, some pasta here and there, plantains, fruits, tortillas. I was so embarrassed when I made lasagna replacing the pasta noodles with chicken deli meat or used Egglife wraps in place of tortillas in enchiladas - my family was open to it but it just did not taste the best. Food IMO is more than just fuel, it is about family, culture, community, cuisine. I've lost 18 lbs in 12 weeks lowering my carb intake and counting calories not being crazy strict so I know it can work. I also feel as a mother to daughters that I am hesitant to showcase restrictive eating habits and body image issues even though I need to lose at least 70lbs for health. It just seems so cult like being so strict. Am I going to be the Mom who refuses to eat a cupcake I made for my child's birthday? No. When I refused to eat some homemade popcorn my 11 year old made with butter and salt, I knew I was in a bad place diet culture wise. I really just want to feel good and feed my family well. I went on a rant but curious your thoughts as you have navigated the animal based/carnivore community but are also a Mom with kids who will not eat bunless burgers everyday.

Same!!!! I can relate to everything that you’re saying. It’s definitely a challenge once you already have a family and you just have to do what works best for you! I also struggled with eating disorders. You can take a look at some of my other videos and being strict with anything just doesn’t work good for me.

I absolutely love this video so informative yet realistic! I have a hard time giving up rice so eating it in moderation like this would be a great start for me. Also having fruit and and minimal veggies is what i already do so this is the perfect video for me to get inspired meals from. Thank you so much ❤️
