So I was able to maintain my weight for 2 months on animal based without weighing or counting anything. This was a huge success for me as in the past I’ve always had to track calories or macros. Once I removed fruit the weight started to fall off. I think some people are more sensitive to the insulin spikes the fruit can cause. Now fruit is my cheat snack about once a week and I’m feeling really great!

You can’t lose weight eating carbs with fat. Pretty much impossible.

I’ve been eating this way for a few months now, and 2 things I’ve noticed. 1. When I eat fruit, it makes me more hungry throughout the day. This is great for me because on the carnivore diet I wasn’t getting enough calories each day. I was never hungry. 2. On this diet I had to re-educate myself when I was full. I don’t get that feeling of satiety when I eat this diet. With my husband it’s different. He does. So if you eat until I’m at least not, hungry, is better than eating until I feel full. I don’t get gut distention. Unless I eat watermelon.😂

Hi , I saw your interview with the other Lillie. I found you pretty funny.😂. I’ve been dabbling in & out of this diet. Which I like but always end up eating too many carbs, when I’m cooking for my family they do not eat this way so sometimes or should I say many times it’s been hard for me. I also tried the vegan approach n always ended up getting really bloated n gaining weight. But I’m gonna try really hard to be more consistent. I like that you are Latina n you are representing, there’s not that many out there that I have seen.. anyways……. Have watched my zero carb life, dr berry, black carnivore, they all have channels and info you can learn from. Looking forward to more videos😊

I appreciate your sensible approach. Found you through Lillie Kane who I also appreciate for not being dogmatic. I've been animal based for 2.5 years. My weight is pretty much the same...but my body shape is so much better. No bloating, more curves. I think this is my body's ideal weight. I don't think it's a way to get skinny, just healthy!

I agree! It takes a while to finally get there, but caring more about your how you feel your mental well-being and overall wellness over being your skinniest, is a great feeling.

💯 most are men that talk about it … and not peri menopausal or in menopause. I thrived on Carnivore I did no fruit though. Like you instantly my gas bloating issues GONE .. shocked and tears also. I didn’t workout much in my three years carnivore I just did yoga (unlike me cause I have always loved weights) but just enjoyed not planning arm/leg and so on days and was less stressed and was the smallest I had been in a long time . Then I wanted to try to switch things up and do weights again and put some lost muscle back on .. long story short I’m a hot mess . I feel like I was lifting like crazy and 5/6 days a week eating 4 times a day again … but nothing was changing .. I almost just kept getting bigger . So i had to talk myself off a ledge .. I have just started walking 2/3 miles 4-5 times a week. Throwing in some barre/yoga/Pilates here and there .. my life is certainly more stressful nowadays. I really think I have way too much cortisol my sleep sucks So These are the best workouts for me at this time. Again this is just MY journey so far . Im trying to stop my all or nothing neurotic behavior I know you can relate . I’m sure .. I need a whole two days to tell u this Journey girl lol. I’m gonna find u on Instagram and show u pics of stages . Now I am trying to focus on being back to mostly meat based but god it’s so much harder after stepping away.. veggies and beans are my ultimate enemy second to barley/wheat/rye, like u sourdough here and there I am fine. White rice I’m good with .. (brown rice literally give me such pain) .Some fruits fine. I feel like my Body can’t handle fiber really. Sorry for this book

Same thing here. I have been animal based for around a year and my health is soooo much better but the weight thing is just not budging, I have actually gained around 5 kg. I was struggling with chronic fatigue and a whole bunch of symptoms from depression, to chronic utis, to crazy allergies and brain fog. Now I feel like a human again and most of my symptoms are gone which I am so thankful for! but I am just pretty uncomfortable with my body. I was vegan for 5 years before starting to eat a lot of animal products around 2 years and a half ago. So I just feel that my body may need to focus on a lot of healing before losing this little extra weight. I should say that I am not overweight by any stretch of the imagination. it is even possible that I was underweight before. it is just a bit frustrating to feel the healthiest I've ever been but look slightly worse. I am eating a lot of meat, fruit, pumpkin, zucchini and dairy. Things I am trying to help me lose this little weight that I feel is in excess are: focusing on beef (I was eating more pork belly before), reducing/eliminating olive oil, reducing the amount of cheese I eat and trying to switch to raw dairy as much as I can. and reducing dates with butter because I tend to overeat them, and trying to really avoid going out to restaurants. I also have not been able to exercise as I was recovering from chronic fatigue so I am looking forward to starting that hoping it will make a difference.

I try to maintain a low carb way of life. I think 100 grams of protein is too much protein for your height, unless you're like 6 ft tall. Excess protein turns into sugar and then gets stored as fat when not used. Stephanie Keto Person says that women should stay below 70 grams of protein. I also noticed personally that conventional dairy makes me hold excess mucus, water weight and gives me acne, although it doesn't give me gut issues. Maybe try reducing your protein intake and increasing your fat (butter, ghee, fatty meat, salmon, and avocado)

@Lily Rubio well my hubby has a rare form of MCAS called HAT. He is doing so much better. I just need to lose some body fat and I do have a few signs of inflammation like gum bleeding and dandruff.

i feel that we should keep in mind that a body fat percentage of 22-25% fat is ideal for fertility even though a lot of women feel a bit out of shape when they have this body fat percentage.

this is great to know. I'm 20lbs heavier at 21 months postpartum than before I got pregnant. I've been wanting to start animal based but haven't committed yet.

I did experience more rapid weight loss postpartum so the fact that you’ll be eating nutrient dense foods, staying away from the junk should help you lose a substantial amount of weight

Probably just water or muscle weight. You are probably leaner overall and you probably feel better

Happy you did too! I have never drank alcohol so it isn’t something I struggle with. I can imagine it being a challenge if you’re used to drinking casually.

Maybe you don't need to lose any weight, your so called ideal weight may not be your healthiest, go with the way you feel .

Have you tried tracking your food for a few days just to have an idea of how much you are consuming? Are you prioritizing protein? It took me 3 months to lose 10lbs. How long have you been eating this way?
