Welcome to our Dalemews RU-vid Chanel. The videos show us working both our Wirehaired Vizslas and Finnish Goshawks, all of which have been bred and trained by ourselves. Most of our hawking is carried out in the North of England and Scotland and hope the videos give you an insight into how we practice the art of falconry in our small corner of the world. are European Goshawks normally able to hunt with dogs? I have been told that the American Goshwks are not that friendly with dogs. I have also been told that European Goshawk is much more "friendly" so maybe they can work with dogs?

A question about the hare's death; when you approach the bird who is on the hare, is the hare simply in a 'frozen' state, and you kill it, then let the bird have a nice, but not full, feed? Or, do you do a fairly Quick trade off?
Damn that hawk's impressive. They've got a better success rate than using a gun. No way could you track a hare through that thick brush while using a rifle or shotgun and successfully hit your mark more than 70% of the time if that. But that hawk gets every one. It's no wonder people use them to hunt when they're that efficient.
